North Korea Releases US Soldier Back Into American Custody

US Soldier Happy After Being Freed by North Korea

US soldier Travis King is back in American custody after being detained in North Korea for two months.

The 23-year-old was arrested after illegally crossing from South Korea to North Korea.

Local media reported Private King defected due to racial discrimination in the US Army.

He has been deported from North Korea and transported to China where he was handed into US custody.

Private King was expected to return to America on Thursday.
