The Italian Airforce team known as the Frecce Tricolori were taking part in a practice run outside the northern city of Turin, when the shocking incident took place. One of the planes was caught on camera dipping out the sky, before it crashed, killing a child on the ground.
It was reported that the plane, or parts of the plane, struck the family car, killing the young girl and leaving a second child and the two parents being treated for burns. They were taken to hospital, but none of the injuries were life-threatening.
Local media named the young girl as Laura Origliasso, and said her 12-year-old brother suffered bad burns. The pilot was also locally named as Oscar del Do. The pilot ejected before the fiery crash and was also said to have suffered from burns.
A chilling video shows the moments before the fatal crash. Nine aircraft are flying in two tight V-formations before one suddenly drops from the sky, below the others. The video tracks the plane as it flies lower and lower, careening towards the ground, before the pilot suddenly ejects and the aircraft smashes into the ground, sending a huge fireball into the air.

During the footage, a road can be clearly seen in the foreground running around the circumference of the airport. In the video, the pilot can be seen ejecting with a parachute shortly before impact. After the fire clears, a thick black smoke fills the air.
The crash reportedly happened after take-off from the Turin Caselle airport, near the industrial northern city. There was no immediate word on the pilot's condition or the reason for the crash. The head of the region's prosecutor's office, Gabriella Viglione, has already arrived at the site of the incident.
