SALINE COUNTY, MO (KCTV) -
Troopers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol nabbed 51 pounds of marijuana from one car during a traffic stop Wednesday.
Ken Cheng, 61, of Orlando, FL, was arrested for second degree drug trafficking and transported to Saline County Jail.
The highway patrol said a trooper stopped a 2012 Toyota Tacoma for a traffic violation on eastbound Interstate 70 in Saline County, MO. During the traffic stop, several things the driver did led the trooper to ask if he could search the vehicle.
The driver gave permission for the search, and the trooper found 51 pounds of marijuana hidden inside commercially produced bags labeled "tea." The bags were found inside cardboard boxes in the cargo area of the vehicle.
