Although you can see a fair amount of snow (white shadings) and rain (green shadings) painted in on the forecast maps below for Tuesday and Wednesday, it will be of the light variety. We are talking only a dusting to at most an inch or two of snow from the Plains to the Ohio Valley and Northeast.
Although not the most potent dump of cold air for early February standards, temperatures will drop several degrees across the Upper Midwest, Great Lakes and Northeast from Monday through Wednesday. You can see this temperature change on the animation below.
All in all, we are talking about temperatures going from 10 to 20 degrees above average on Monday to right around where they should be this time of year by Wednesday.
