Big oops -- Giants website declares team Super Bowl champs

Hey Giants, the Lombardi Trophy’s not quite yours yet.
The team’s official website jumped off sides today, when it embarrassingly ran an ad that declared Big Blue the champions of tomorrow’s Super Bowl XLVI while hawking t-shirts celebrating their “title.”
The ad, which had pictures of Giants Eli Manning and Justin Tuck, was quickly removed.
An NFL spokesman said: “It’s common practice for Web pages to be created for both teams in advance. In this case, the hidden URL for the page was inadvertently available for a brief period of time while it was being positioned on the NFL server for possible post”.
