As if it didn’t already appear that the Colts and quarterback Peyton Manning are headed for divorce, here’s the latest evidence to suggest that a parting of the ways is in the offing.
Manning is completely in the dark regarding the search for a new coach.
That’s what he told Bob Kravitz of the Indianapolis Star during a Monday night interview. “Don’t they talk to you down there?” Kravitz said he told Manning, on PFT Live. “You are the franchise quarterback, last I checked.”
Maybe Kravitz and the rest of us need to keep checking. The fact that the Colts would hire a head coach with zero input from Peyton Manning means that the head coach most likely won’t be coaching Peyton Manning.
