U.S. actor-director Sean Penn gives a news conference in Poland. As Russia's invasion of nearby Ukraine began, the Hollywood star was in Kyiv filming a documentary about the situation in the country.

There he met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy before finding himself among thousands of refugees fleeing to Poland, joining the exodus on foot.
