TLC 2011: Worst Gimmick Matches in WWE History
Bleachers Report
WWE loves a good gimmick. In fact, it loves them so much that it has ruined all of its best ones by building pay-per-view shows around them.
Remember back in the day, when WWE knew what it was doing, where they would roll out TLC matches or Elimination Chamber matches or Hell in a Cell matches because it actually made sense for the story and not just because the calendar said that we had to have them?
But I digress.
As we know, not all gimmick matches turn out to be as successful as the three that were mentioned before. In fact, there have been a lot of different ones that WWE has tried that have been epic fails and will go down in the history books right alongside the Gobbledy Gooker.
We thought it would be fun to do a countdown of the five worst gimmick matches that WWE has tried in the past that have not worked out as well as someone thought they might when they came up with the idea.
