Michael Gargiulo, the so-called Hollywood Ripper and The Boy Next Door Killer, has been sentenced to death for killing and mutilating two Southern California women, including one who died hours before she was set to go out with actor Ashton Kutcher.

Ashton told the court how he had arrived at the Hollywood bungalow of the young woman on 22 February 2001 for their evening together, after speaking to her on the phone earlier that day.
