The 'House of Horrors' has been demolished to the relief of neighbours
Neighbours living next to a "House of Horrors" where two teenage boys were brutally murdered by their parents have been relieved to see it finally torn down.
The demolition of the house in Sheffield follows the horrific murders of Tristan and Blake Barrass, 14 and 13, by their depraved, incestuous parents Sarah Barrass and Brandon Machin.
The sick pair strangled their sons and attempted to murder their other children fearing their sordid relationship was about to come out.
The house has stood as a permanent reminder of the tragedy for traumatised neighbours and residents for nearly two years.
One neighbour, who did not want to be named, told Yorkshire Live
: “We’re glad it’s gone. We wanted it to be gone because we were worried about [the house] attracting more antisocial behaviour in the area.

“Believe it or not, the rest of the street is lovely. We all look after each other. It was unbelievable what happened there. It was truly shocking.”
The evil parents wanted to keep their relationship in the dark so hatched a plan to kill all their children.
They have been jailed for 35 years after pleading guilty to two counts of murder, conspiracy to murder six children and five counts of attempted murder.
Neighbours said they had also seen some “twisted” people looking up the house and coming to see it out of morbid curiosity.

Laura, 27, said she was very happy to see it go.
She said: “I was here when [the killings] happened. It was horrendous. I think it’s better it’s gone now – just out of respect, really.
“It’s awful what happened, but you try to put it behind you, though no one will ever forget it.
“Obviously, the fact that we don’t have to see it every day anymore makes it easier [to move on].”
However, for many the memories of that day will always stay with them.
Danny Revey, 34, had just moved to a nice, semi-detached, three-bedroom house with his family in 2018. His house is only steps away from the Barrass home.

He said: “It’s a tight community around here, everyone knows each other. Just the burden of the house; you looked at it and you remembered what’d happened.
“It was really tough. It’s better to have it gone.
“That day, just in general, was one of the worst days we had. We’re staying but I know some of our next-door neighbours moved out.
“I know a lot of people said demolishing the house was a waste of money, but I think it was the right move, just out of respect for the boys.
“It would’ve been really inappropriate to put anybody in there where they were killed.”
