Trump Tweets 'Don't Buy Goodyear Tires' Over Company's MAGA Hat Ban

President Trump is urging Americans to boycott Goodyear tires after the company reportedly banned employees from wearing “MAGA attire” but OK’d their open support for the Black Lives Matter movement.

“Don’t buy GOODYEAR TIRES,” the president tweeted. “They announced a BAN ON MAGA HATS. Get better tires for far less! (This is what the Radical Left Democrats do. Two can play the same game, and we have to start playing it now!).”

The comment comes after a local news report by WIBW in Kansas published a slide that was reportedly presented during a recent diversity training session for employees of Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. One of the employees, who took a photo of the slide, said it was presented at the Topeka plant by an area manager and that the slide came from their corporate office out of Akron, Ohio.

After the President’s tweet, Goodyear released a statement saying their corporate office didn’t make the slide.

“First, the visual in question was not created or distributed by Goodyear corporate, nor was it part of a diversity training class,” the statement said.

“The thing that we were given in a presentation was from Akron, Ohio and we were told it was for every Goodyear site, whether it was a plant, store, what ever the case may be,” said an employee under the agreement of anonymity due to fears they could lose their job.

“We ask that associates refrain from workplace expressions in support of political campaigning for any candidate or political party, as well as similar forms of advocacy that fall outside the scope of racial justice and equity issues,” Goodyear continued.

White House observers were quick to point out that the presidential limousine is outfitted with that particular brand of tires. The President was not aware of this until we pointed it out to him

NASCAR announced it would continue to use GOODYEAR TIRES
