Man Dangles From 16th Floor of Trump Tower by Rope Demanding to Speak to US President
Police have said the man is threatening suicide as he dangles from the 98-storey Trump Tower in Chicago - with reports that he will cut the rope if he doesn't get to speak to the US President

A man is dangling from Chicago's Trump International Hotel and Tower by a rope.
Described as being of Asian ethnicity, he is reported to be armed with a knife and prepared to cut through the rope if his demands to speak to US President Donald Trump are not met.
He is dangling from the 16th floor balcony of the 98-storey building in the 400 block of North Wabash, with police confirming reports were first received around 5.30pm local time.
A SWAT team and Marine Unit are also at the scene, along with firefighters, while police are on the balcony above the man.
Photos and video footage show the man hanging in an abseiling position in line with the word 'Trump' in the building name.
The $847 million skyscraper condo-hotel in the Illinois city's downtown area is 1,390 feet high and was completed in 2009.
Chicago Police Department has confirmed officers are responding to reports of a man threatening suicide.
A spokesperson said officers were called to the scene at 5.27pm.
"CPD, SWAT, and CFD personnel responded to the call of an unknown male threatening suicide and dangling from a rope on the 16th-floor balcony of a residential building/hotel," they said.
"Details are preliminary and subject to change as more information becomes available."
