The majority of humanity believes in some form of life beyond Earth, whether that be simple alien life forms or intelligent extraterrestrial civilisations.
In 2012, one tenth of respondents to a National Geographic Society survey claimed that they had seen an unidentified flying object of UFO.
Yet, extraterrestrial visitations - or close encounters - are by no means limited to sightings.
Intriguingly, or perhaps horrifyingly, there are people who claim to have been contacted by alien life forms.
They claim to have been abducted by aliens....
