ADOLPH Trump threatened to mobilise the military across the US, said he was deploying thousands of heavily armed soldiers in Washington, and declared himself the "president of law and order”.
In extraordinary scenes, Trump made the declaration in the White House Rose Garden as riot police used tear gas, rubber bullets, flash bangs and horses to clear peaceful protesters outside.

Asked if Trump would be welcome at the church now, Mariann Budde, the Bishop of Washington, said: “He is welcome to pray. Presidents are welcome as citizens of our country, to pray, to kneel before God in humility.
“He is not entitled to use the symbolism to promote an entirely different message.
The outrage we are hearing from so many of the nation’s young people and people of colour, we need to align ourselves with the God of unconditional love and justice.”
His destination was the boarded up St John's Church....
He then left the White House and walked, with some of his closest officials and Secret Service agents, through lingering tear gas, across Pennsylvania Avenue and Lafayette Park.
Holding up a Bible in his right hand outside the church, Mr Trump said:
"We have a great country. It'll be greater than ever before. I'm going to keep it nice and safe.”
In his speech a few minutes earlier at the White House, Mr Trump said: "I am mobilising all available federal resources, civilian and military, to stop the rioting and looting.”

The president said he was recommending state governors deploy the National Guard to "dominate the streets.”
If they failed to take action then "I will deploy the US military and quickly solve the problem for them," he said.
He also called them a bunch of jerks for not doing so
Mr Trump said rioting in Washington was a "total disgrace”.
He said: "As we speak I am dispatching thousands and thousands of heavily armed soldiers, military personnel and law enforcement officers, to stop the rioting, looting and wanton destruction of property.”
But he added: "We cannot allow the righteous cries of peaceful protesters to be drowned out by an angry mob. I will fight to protect you......

Oh my God. It’s not even curfew yet and law enforcement (who are stationed in a square around the White House) have started clearing peaceful protesters with flash bangs and tear gas.
"I am your president of law and order and an ally to all peaceful protesters. But in recent days our nation has been gripped by professional anarchists, violent mobs, arsonists, criminals, Antifa and others.
"A number of state and local governors have failed to take action.
Innocent people have been savagely beaten. Small business owners have seen their dreams destroyed. New York's finest have been hit in the face with bricks.”
