Thank you for allowing me this thread. As I've said before, it's not I but He that is within me that leads me to post these words of wisdom from others that was influenced by the Holy Spirit. It is my fervent prayer that my post will lead some and hopefully many to accept and follow Jesus our Lord and Savior.
The Prayer of St. Francis
Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled as to console;
To be understood, as to understand;
To be loved, as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive,
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
And it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life.
Amen.

Have we trials and temptations?

Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?

In His arms He’ll take and shield thee,
Thou wilt find a solace there.

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people -- for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:1-4
