Checkmark Kerrygold Irish Whiskey Cheese for St. Patrick's Day

Drunk on Cheese? Kerrygold Irish Whiskey Cheese for St. Patrick's Day

Kerrygold Aged Cheddar with Irish Whiskey is now available for St.Patrick's Day.

@IrishCentral, 24 Feb, 2019

"Infused with the robust flavor of whiskey, Kerrygold’s rich and creamy Aged Cheddar now has unique undertones of the smooth, woody and nutty taste of pure Irish Whiskey.

"Entrenched in the history and traditions of Ireland, Cheddar and whiskey are now together in one spirited Irish grass-fed cow’s milk cheese. This tasty combination is the perfect compliment to your party’s gourmet cheese platter and is also a unique gift item."

Discount supermarket chain Aldi will also release a collection of beer- and whiskey-infused cheeses for St. Patrick’s Day.

The collection, which is set to launch on February 27, will feature Irish Cheddar with Beer and Irish Cheddar with Whiskey, Liquor.com reports.

If boozy cheeses aren’t to your taste or you’d prefer something green in honor of the day, you can also pick up Pesto Gouda or English Sage Derby, both of which are colored Kelly-green for the Irish holiday. The five-piece collection will also include a non-boozy and non-green Aged Irish Cheddar.

The limited-edition cheeses are produced by Happy Farms, which also made Aldi’s ‘80s music-themed cheeses released earlier this month, including “Girls Just Wanna Have Fontina” and “Pour Some Gouda On Me.”

The blocks of St. Patrick's Day cheeses will sell for $3.99 each.
