Adobe Photoshop CS4 refers to an image editing software that was released in September of 2008. Photoshop CS4 is designed to work with other products in the Adobe Creative Suite, such as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe ImageReady.

- Adobe Photoshop CS4 includes several changes and adjustments from the previous version of Photoshop, such as content aware scaling, vibrancy adjustments and improved versions of the Clone Stamp, Healing Brush, Burn Tool and Dodge Tool. It also has a streamlined interface. The Extended version of CS4 includes new 3D tools.

- Graphic designers and artists use Adobe Photoshop CS4 to edit photographs, compose designs or create artwork.
Updates
Adobe released a newer version of Photoshop, Adobe Photoshop CS5, on April 12th, 2010 and costs about $699 then. CS5 includes new tools for painting with realistic strokes, selecting intricate content and selecting complex areas.
