WWE Management Taking an Interest in ROH?

Faced with a depleting roster, is WWE management looking in bold new places to find the next generation's top stars?

Well, in this week's F4W Newsletter, Bryan Alvarez notes that the WWE brass is taking a keen interest in America's No. 3 promotion in recent times, likely stemming from the success ROH alumni CM Punk and Daniel Bryan have found.

For whatever this is worth, WWE has taken an interest and has been learning more about ROH. Part of that, obviously, is due to Punk and Daniel Bryan getting over as former long-term ROH stars, plus some of the best guys in developmental came from ROH. In fact, Punk, Bryan, Antonio Cesaro (Claudio Castagnoli) and Seth Rollins (Tyler Black) are all company champions right now.

It will be interesting to see how this turns out.

It is definitely a positive that management are opening their minds in regards to what they look for in wrestlers they sign. Certainly ROH (and the U.S indy scene in general) is filled with young, extremely talented wrestlers who could thrive in WWE if given the opportunity. And for fans tired of the company's habit of signing huge bodybuilders who look great on TV but struggle in the ring, it's good news too.
