Floyd Mayweather Denied House Arrest, How This Influences Mayweather's Health

Floyd Mayweather (43-0, 26 KO) was denied his request for house arrest by a Nevada judge according to a report from TMZ.

Mayweather wanted to serve the rest of his sentence on house arrest due to conditions in jail beginning to wither his physical condition.

The food and allotted time and space for physical activity is lacking according to Mayweather's attorney, but the judge has basically called him a prima donna and laughed at his request.

Where does he go from here? He serves out the rest of his 87-day jail sentence in isolation until the powers that be see it safe to enter him into general population or he completes his full sentence.

Mayweather is an athlete and makes his bread and butter as a boxer. As renowned as Mayweather is maintaining his physique, he is still 35 years old and aging.

It could be that without the proper training conditions, Mayweather's physique may wither away. I personally do not believe this will affect his career very much.

It may be more convenient for Mayweather to have the optimum conditions for keeping himself in shape, but there shouldn't be too much trouble getting back into prime fighting condition.

The difference may be that it'll take him a bit longer to get ready for a big fight. Instead of returning in the fall, fans may have to wait until next May to see "Money May" fight again.

Mayweather is the current WBC welterweight (147 lbs) world champion and WBA junior middleweight (154 lbs) world champion.
