WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather, Jr. is asking Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Melissa Saragosa to allow him to complete the remainder of his 90-day jail term under house arrest, according to a report by Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Mayweather has already served a total of 15 days at the Clark County Detention Center in Nevada after pleading guilty last year to domestic battery and a no-contest to two counts of harassment for assaulting his former girlfriend, who is the mother of his three children.

According to the Review-Journal report, a motion was filed Monday seeking to allow the unbeaten champion to leave his detention cell and to complete his jail term possibly in his own home.

Among other things, Mayweather's lawyers cited the deteriorating physical condition of the unbeaten fighter, which could seriously affect his boxing career.

Lawyer Richard Wright reportedly said Mayweather is confined to his cell 23 hours a day and could not use the training facilities, as he remains segregated from the general prison population.

Dr. Robert Voy, who examined Mayweather's latest health condition, said the 35-year-old boxer could not train in the jail's facilities as he remains under isolation.

Other disclosures contained in the motion with regard to Mayweather's health include his limited access to hot water inside his cell, inability to exercise inside his cell and non-participation in the jail's population activities because of his celebrity status.

It could not be ascertained if Mayweather was able to watch possible future foe Manny Pacquiao as he lost to Timothy Bradley in a controversial scoring by the judges who favored the Palm Spring boxing sensation, despite statistics confirming Pacquiao's lead on points.

Mayweather's father, Floyd Sr., who was ringside at the Pacquiao-Bradley fight, believed Pacquiao won the fight.

“I thought Tim Bradley put up one helluva fight. But I didn’t think he won the fight,” he told ESPN.com.

Mayweather Sr. said he did not score the fight, but he knew Pacquiao won.

“I felt he (Pacquiao) won the fight. I felt like there was a gap, where you could see who was winning,” he said.

Mayweather's uncle and trainer, Roger Mayweather, said he hates Pacquiao but also said Pacquiao won over Bradley in the fight held Saturday night at the MGM grand in Las Vegas, Nev.
