Udinese forward Luis Muriel has revealed that he is the subject of bids from both AC Milan and Inter, but has not made up his mind over his future.

Luis Muriel is attracting attention

Muriel, 20, is currently on loan at Lecce and has been tipped for a bright future in the game after some impressive performances, with Arsenal also believed to be in the race for his signature.
However, the two Italian clubs have moved quickly to get to the front of the queue and have already registered their interest.
"My agent has made it known to me that AC Milan and Inter have made official offers for me, the only thing I know is that I will return to Udinese at the end of the season," Muriel told RCN Mundo. "There are some offers though, so we'll see what happens."
Dubbed the 'Colombian Cristiano Ronaldo', Muriel has yet to make his official debut for Udinese but has bagged seven goals in 23 games for Lecce this season.

Soccer Ronaldo Wants Rape Case Thrown Out Alleging Lawyers' Misconduct

Cristiano Ronaldo Asks For Rape Case to be Thrown Out Alleging Lawyers' Misconduct

EXCLUSIVE: Lawyers for Juventus and Portugal megastar Christiano Ronaldo claim former model Kathryn Mayorga's lawyers failed to disclose hundreds of documents relating to the police investigation

Daily Mirror UK. 5 JUN 2021

Ronaldo vehemently denies the allegations

Cristiano Ronaldo’s legal team has asked for his rape case to be thrown out of court, claiming his accuser’s lawyers secretly gave stolen papers to police investigators.

The footballer, 36, set to star at this month’s Euros, is accused by former model Kathryn Mayorga of sexually assaulting her in a Las Vegas hotel after a night out in 2009.

Her claims were settled out of court 12 years ago, with the 37-year-old receiving a £375,000 lump sum from the Portuguese striker.

However, in 2018 she began proceedings to have her initial settlement overturned, arguing it was signed under duress.

She is pursuing the Juventus star through a Vegas court demanding £56million in damages and costs.

He vehemently denies her claims and his team Christiansen Trial Lawyers now alleges her attorney used underhand tactics.

They filed an emergency motion for Stovall and Associates, to be disqualified and the case to be dismissed, and another to seal all sensitive documents.

They claim Leslie Stovall failed to disclose hundreds of documents relating to the police investigation, hacked by the Football Leaks site.

Ronaldo’s lawyers also say Mayorga’s team approached the hackers for more documents, without disclosing this to court.

They claim Stovall’s gave the hacked documents to Las Vegas police to try and get the case reopened.

The motion says: “Because of such egregious misconduct, no sanction less than dismissal will suffice.”

Stovall and Associates was approached for comment.

Soccer STAR Footbsller Ronaldo Gets Transfer Wish as He Chills on Private Yacht

Cristiano Ronaldo Gets Man Utd Transfer Wish as He Chills on Private Yacht With Georgina

Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo is enjoying himself in Ibiza with Georgina Rodriguez as he prepares to welcome Dutchman Frenkie De Jong to Old Trafford

Daily Mirror 29 JUN 2022

His wife Georgina Rodriguez joined him in Ibiza

The Manchester United star, who made the decision to return to England last summer, has been snapped whilst on holiday in Ibiza. While some of his teammates are enduring double sessions already, Ronaldo is making the most of his extra time off after competing in the Nations League with Portugal.

The former Real Madrid man was snapped on a private yacht in Ibiza with Rodriguez, taking showers and regularly checking his phone. Ronaldo will no doubt be keeping a close eye on his club's transfer business, with United agreeing a deal with Barcelona for Frenkie de Jong on Tuesday.

Sources have indicated the Red Devils will pay £56m up front for the 25-year-old, with performance-related add-ons potentially taking the total cost of the deal to £70m. It will be the first signing of the Ten Hag era.

United's No.7 will no doubt be delighted by the news, having grown frustrated by the club's lack of transfer activity so far this summer, The Sun reported.

The new manager's arrival did originally cast doubt over Ronaldo's future, with his principles seemingly at odds with the player's style of play. But the new man in charge has reaffirmed that the Portuguese superstar will be part of his plans after he returned to Manchester last summer.

Despite turning 37 last season Ronaldo still managed to score 24 times, often hauling his side out of difficult situations. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner is keen to stay put provided he is wanted as part of the rebuild. Ten Hag said the forward would bring "goals" when quizzed on his contributions.

Ronaldo has also been the subject of interest from United's rivals Chelsea. New Blues owner Todd Boehly reportedly met with the player's agent, Jorge Mendes, about a possible swoop whilst Sporting Lisbon, who Ronaldo began his career at, also want to bring him back to the Portuguese capital.

Despite that, major sources at Old Trafford have made it clear that Ronaldo is going nowhere - and that Ten Hag has already included him in his plans for next season. “Cristiano is not for sale,” they said. “We want - and fully expect - him to be with us next season.”

United remain in the market for attacking reinforcements as Ajax's Antony is linked with a switch to the Premier League. He is keen to follow Ten Hag after an impressive year in Amsterdam. His teammate and Argentine international Lisandro Martinez is also being linked as the club look to bolster their defensive ranks.

Cristiano Ronaldo Cautioned by Police After Smashing Phone Out of Autistic Boy's Hand

Manchester United's No.7 lost his temper after a 1-0 defeat at Everton last season and smashed a phone out of a boy's hand as he walked towards the dressing room

Daily Mirror 18 AUG 2022

Cristiano Ronaldo has been cautioned by police after angrily smashing an autistic boy’s phone to the floor.

The Manchester United striker appeared to slap Jacob Harding’s hand as he left the pitch moments after his side were beaten 1-0 by Everton at Goodison Park last season. Ronaldo later apologised to the 14 year old and earlier this month the Portuguese star was interviewed by police under caution in relation to an alleged assault and criminal damage.

In a statement on Wednesday Merseyside Police said: “We can confirm that a 37-year-old man voluntarily attended and was interviewed under caution in relation to an allegation of assault and criminal damage. The allegation relates to an incident following the Everton v Manchester United football match at Goodison Park on Saturday 9 April.

Movies re: Chelsea Make Ronaldo U-Turn & Leave Man Utd in Catch-22 Over Sacking

Cristiano Ronaldo Launches Stinging Attack on Man U & Wayne Rooney With "He's Finished" Remark

Wayne Rooney recently criticised Cristiano Ronaldo's behaviour and his ex-Manchester United teammate has ruthlessly hit back, labelling him "finished" in a bombshell interview with Piers Morgan

BBC News 14 NOV 2022.

Cristiano Ronaldo feels "betrayed" by Man Utd and is being forced out in bombshell claim

Cristiano Ronaldo admits he doesn't respect Erik ten Hag in brutal attack on Man Utd boss

Cristiano Ronaldo has launched a stinging attack on Wayne Rooney and labelled his former Manchester United teammate "finished."

Rooney recently criticised the 37-year-old megastar for his behaviour at the club, having notably left a match early because he doesn't have "respect" for manager Erik ten Hag. In a bombshell interview with Piers Morgan, Ronaldo claims to feel "betrayed" by the Red Devils, having not been allowed to leave Old Trafford since he submitted a transfer request in the summer.

And it wasn't just the United hierarchy who felt his wrath, as the Portuguese striker ridiculed Rooney, who's four months younger than him but already retired. "I don't know why he criticises me so badly," Ronaldo declared on Piers Morgan Uncensored on TalkTV.

Cristiano Ronaldo ridiculed ex-Man Utd teammate Wayne Rooney in a bombshell interview

"Probably because he finished his career and I'm still playing at a high level. I'm not going to say that I'm looking better than him. Which is true," he added with a smile.

His boss, Ten Hag, was another high-profile figure who the five-time Ballon d'Or winner took aim at, as Ronaldo explained why he refused to come on as a late substitute during the Red Devils' 2-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur last month.

"I don't have respect for him because he doesn't show respect for me," the United striker affirmed. If you don't have respect for me, I'm never gonna have respect for you."

Ten Hag is among many who Ronaldo claims to be making him feel like a "black sheep" at Old Trafford. "Not only the coach, but the other two or three guys around that are around the club," former Real Madrid hero went on.

When Morgan asked if he feels that senior executives at the club are trying to get rid of him, Ronaldo responded: "Honestly, I shouldn't say that... don't know... But listen I don't care, I'm always... People should listen to the truth. Yes, I feel betrayed and I feel that some people don't want me here, not only this year but last year, too."

The Portugal captain, who's set to play at his fifth World Cup this month, then gave his take on what Sir Alex Ferguson - whose opinion is unknown - might think about the Red Devils' situation, having not won a Premier League title in nearly a decade and firmly remaining behind their rivals.

"He knows better than anybody that the club is not on the path they deserve to be," Ronaldo, whose United career is now surely over following his explosive comments, claimed. "He knows. Everyone knows. The people who don't see that… it's because they don't want to see; they are blind."

Movies re: Manchester United: F.C Up FOR SALE & Cristiano Ronaldo LEAVES

Chelsea Make Cristiano Ronaldo U-Turn and Leave Man Utd in Catch-22 Over Sacking Star

Manchester United Looking to TERMINATE Cristiano Ronaldos’ Contract

Cristiano Ronaldo explosive interview with Piers Morgan has left Manchester United considering their options over the forward with the club keen for him to leave in January

Daily Mirror UK 20 NOV 2022

Chelsea are ready to step in if Manchester United follow through with their plan to sack Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Blues are back in the hunt for Ronaldo after an inconsistent start to the season under the ownership of Todd Boehly. And if United’s lawyers give the club the go-ahead to sack the former Sporting Lisbon, Real Madrid and Juventus star then he will become a free agent.

That would leave them powerless to prevent him moving to Stamford Bridge. United do not want Ronaldo to join a club they view as rivals for a top-four place and are facing an agonising Catch-22 situation.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi blow football world away in stunning picture together

Man Utd shirt sponsor reviewing terms after chief investor slams deal with club

The club are taking legal advice on whether they can sack the 37-year-old Portuguese striker following his astonishing TV outburst lambasting the club. But their stance before Ronaldo appeared on Piers Morgan Uncensored last weekend was that they would allow the five-time Ballon d’Or winner to leave Old Trafford in January - on the understanding that he didn’t join a Premier League rival.

Sporting Lisbon were hopeful of convincing Ronaldo to rejoin them - until they were dumped out of the Champions League. That offered United the ideal solution to a problem that manager Erik ten Hag wanted solving even before Ronaldo blasted the Dutchman in the unauthorised interview.

Ronaldo’s criticisms have given them a problem they didn’t foresee. United want to save on the £500,000-a–week wages they agreed to pay Ronaldo when he returned to Old Trafford in the summer of 2021.

Ronaldo didn't hold back in his interview

There are also suggestions that the Reds could launch a lawsuit against Ronaldo by claiming his interview has damaged the club’s reputation and caused significant financial loss. Mike Treemer, Employment Partner at law firm Fladgate, believes United have got a strong case to sack Ronaldo - but insists a claim for damages would not be as compelling.

He believes any civil suit put before a court would put the so-called Wagatha Christie trial involving WAGs Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy in the shade.

Treemer said: “Most legal commentators now agree that United would be entitled to terminate Ronaldo’s contract following his recent behaviours – including his provocative interview with Piers Morgan. However, few would have predicted that they would go further and allege that his conduct has caused the club financial loss that they are entitled to recover from him.

“Employers pursuing such claims against employees is very rare because it is usually very difficult to prove that a financial loss has been suffered and to directly link that loss to the employee’s actions. In most cases, the high legal costs to be incurred coupled with the employee’s likely inability to pay any substantial damages will deter employees considering such a claim.

“But Ronaldo clearly has the means to pay up if United were to be successful. It is likely that the club will also be considering if third parties have encouraged Ronaldo to breach his contractual obligations – in which case they can also be pursued for the loss suffered.

“No doubt that was considered carefully by Morgan and Talk TV before they broadcast the interview. If any claim is pursued, the media attention and publicity is likely to considerably overshadow that received by the Wagatha Christie trial earlier this year.”

Manchester United: Glazer Family Owners Selling Premier League Club

Manchester United's owners the Glazer family say they are considering selling the club as they "explore strategic alternatives".

Cristiano Ronaldo to Leave Manchester United With Immediate Effect -: Situation 'Llke Ticking Timebomb' - Rio Ferdinand

Both Parties Stated that Ronaldo's Exit "Mutually Agreed".

BBC News 23 NOV 2022.

The Americans bought the Old Trafford outfit for £790m ($1.34bn) in 2005.

It comes after years of protest from fans against their ownership.

A statement from the club said the board will "consider all strategic alternatives, including new investment into the club, a sale, or other transactions involving the company".

It added that the process "will include an assessment of several initiatives to strengthen the club, including stadium and infrastructure redevelopment, and expansion of the club's commercial operations on a global scale" to enhance "the long-term success of the club's men's, women's and academy teams, and bringing benefits to fans and other stakeholders".

In 2012, the Glazers sold 10% of their holding via a stock listing and have sold further shares in the following years.

"As we seek to continue building on the club's history of success, the board has authorised a thorough evaluation of strategic alternatives," said executive co-chairmen and directors Avram Glazer and Joel Glazer.

"We will evaluate all options to ensure that we best serve our fans and that Manchester United maximizes the significant growth opportunities available to the club today and in the future.

"Throughout this process we will remain fully focused on serving the best interests of our fans, shareholders, and various stakeholders."

The Glazer family have owned NFL side Tampa Bay Buccaneers since 1995 and Avram Glazer bought a team in the new United Arab Emirates Twenty20 cricket league in 2021.

Joel and Avram took over the day-to-day running of United after their father Malcolm suffered a stroke in April 2006. Billionaire Malcolm died aged 85 in 2014.

American investment firm Raine Group, who handled Chelsea's £4.25bn sale in May, is acting as United's exclusive financial advisor.

The statement from the club added: "There can be no assurance that the review being undertaken will result in any transaction involving the company.

"Manchester United does not intend to make further announcements regarding the review unless and until the board has approved a specific transaction or other course of action requiring a formal announcement."

United, who are fifth in the Premier League, have not won the title since 2013 and have not won a trophy since claiming the Europa League and EFL Cup in 2017.

There have been multiple protests against the Glazers' ownership in recent years, including one in May 2021 which caused United's home league match against Liverpool to be postponed.

Thousands of supporters marched to Old Trafford in protest before the same fixture this season, in August.

United were part of the failed European Super League project which rapidly collapsed in April 2021. Manchester United co-chairman Joel Glazer later apologised for the unrest caused.

He has since attended fans' forums in the wake of supporter unrest and pledged to make shares available to the club's followers.

According to Transfermarkt,

United have a net spend of 1.36bn euros (£1.18bn) on transfers under the Glazers, with only Manchester City having a higher figure in that period.

Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo, who left Manchester United with immediate effect on Tuesday, criticised the club ownership in a controversial interview last week saying the Glazer family "don't care about the club" on the sporting side.

The move to sell United comes after Liverpool chairman Tom Werner said Fenway Sports Group were "exploring a sale" of the Anfield club.

A Bloomberg Report

in August 2022 said the Glazer family were willing to sell a minority stake in the club.

British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe said he would be interested in buying United before he stated in October that the Glazer family had told him they did not want to sell.

There has never been any real dispute that the Glazers see Manchester United as a financial investment.

To a greater or lesser degree - co-chairmen Joel and Avram being the most invested - they are interested in the football side but the main aim is to make money, which they have succeeded at.

To that end, a few issues have conspired to make the Glazers think now is a good time to test the water with regard to an exit.

First, the European Super League plan was killed off. Whilst Barcelona, Juventus and Real Madrid are adamant it will get clearance through the courts, in its original form, it is done - and with it, the riches that would have come from it.

Then, Saudi Arabia's backing of Newcastle creates more competition within the Premier League and, eventually, Europe.

Added to the huge investment required on an Old Trafford refit - and improvements at the club's Carrington training ground - running a competitive United, in the short-term, is going to be very costly.

To that end, the £4.25bn Chelsea was sold for in the summer starts to look very attractive.

The Glazers have not been popular owners since the day they bought United in 2005.

If they are to leave, most fans would welcome it. However, given the likely selling price, their dream of ownership may be unrealistic.

And, even if a boyhood supporter fan Sir Jim Ratcliffe follows up his summer plan to attempt to buy the club, he is unlikely to be the only interested party. In the short-term, the future at Old Trafford may just bring more uncertainty.

David Beckham Open to Talks to Buy Man Utd After The Glazers Put Club Up For Sale

David Beckham is unable to afford the Old Trafford club by himself but could form part of an investment consortium as prospective buyers may be keen to enlist the Red Devils legend to boost their chances of winning the race to purchase United

BBC 24 NOV 2022

David Beckham is reportedly open to holding talks with potential buyers of Manchester United after The Glazers announced they are ready to sell the football club. Beckham could form part of an investment consortium

Beckham is unable to afford the Old Trafford club by himself but could form part of an investment consortium as prospective buyers may be keen to enlist the Red Devils legend to boost their chances of winning the race to purchase United.

The Glazers, who bought Man United for £790million back in 2005, put the Old Trafford club on the market on Tuesday. Mirror Football understands the family is looking for as much as £8billion to sell - a fee that eclipses the £2.5bn Todd Boehly paid for Chelsea.

The Financial Times reports that Beckham's affinity with Manchester United fans is attractive to a potential buyer who could get the former midfielder on board to help secure the club's purchase.

Beckham has been approached by investors in the past who have been interested in purchasing Man United. These talks never progressed, but there is hope this time around given the Glazers' announcement to sell.

In an interview with Sky Sports in May, Beckham announced "there are changes to be made and changes that are happening" at Man United.

He added: "There are not many teams to have gone through what they've gone through in the past few years and still [be] filling out their stadium. There will be changes."

British billionaire and lifelong Man United fan Sir Jim Ratcliffe is ready to launch a bid to take over the Red Devils after his attempt to buy the club in the summer proved fruitless. He also tried and failed to buy Chelsea last season.

Ratcliffe owns petrochemical giant Ineos and is one of the richest men in the world.

US-based Harris Blitzer Sports Entertainment and the Red Knights consortium, led by Lord Jim O'Neill, who made an unsuccessful attempt to buy the Glazers out in 2010, are also in the frame to purchase the club.

The Glazer family is united in its decision to sell the Old Trafford club but co-chairman Joel is said to have doubts about relinquishing control.

The Glazers announced they are ready to sell Man United

His siblings and co-board members are understood to have convinced him that now is the right time to walk away to maximise profit.

The Manchester United Supporters' Trust has called for any prospective owner to put the Red Devils first and their financial needs second. Having Beckham in the frame to purchase the club as part of a consortium would no doubt appeal to supporters.

The supporters' trust said: "Over the last 17 years Manchester United fans have been dismayed with the ownership of the club. Over that period we have witnessed a decline on the playing side and a decline in our stadium.

"Whilst supporters have long called for change, of course, this has to be the right change. At this moment in time, our club needs new investment more than ever. That requires new ownership.

"Any prospective new owner or investor has to be committed to the culture, ethos and best traditions of the club.

"They have to be willing to invest to restore United to former glories, and that investment must be real new money spent on the playing side and the stadium. Finally, any new ownership structure must embed supporters, including a degree of fan share ownership, in their operating model.

"Manchester United's fans are its greatest asset and hold the key to unlocking the true value of any football club. That relationship has to be one of the equals – sharing in ownership and unified with the same goals."

Cristiano Ronaldo Destroyed by KFC After Agreeing' £173m-a-Year Saudi Contract

Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly set to sign a record-breaking deal with a Saudi Arabia outfit as he eyes his next club, with KFC making light of the forward's decision

BBC 6 DEC 2022

Cristiano Ronaldo is weighing up his next move with a huge offer reportedly on the table from Saudi Arabia

KFC have mocked Cristiano Ronaldo 's potential role at Al-Nassr amid reports he has signed a multi-million pound deal.

The Portuguese superstar is unattached and on the lookout for a new club after his contract with Manchester United was terminated. The Red Devils and the player mutually agreed to part ways after his explosive tell-all interview with Piers Morgan made a return to Old Trafford impossible.

Saudi Arabia could now be his next destination with Al-Nassr set to pay him €200m-a-year should he signed a two-and-a-half year deal. A switch to the Middle East would see him team up with Cameroon star Vincent Aboubakar - and KFC have joked that Ronaldo would play second fiddle.

They said on Twitter : "Decent back up to Aboubakar tbf." Aboubakar has showcased his quality at the World Cup and his two goals - including the winner against Brazil - are more than Ronaldo has managed thus far in Qatar.

Aboubakar, who was sent-off in stoppage time as he celebrated his goal against the Brazilians, moved to Saudi Arabia in June last year having been prolific at Porto and Besiktas prior to that. Former Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina is also among Al-Nassr's squad.

Ronaldo has been linked with a Manchester exit back in the summer but, despite his stellar career, there was a lack of possible options for the 37-year-old. The forward would demand huge wages and the likes of Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Napoli were all touted as buyers, but none came forward.

Morgan, who retains a personal relationship with Ronaldo, claimed the forward wasn't seeking a major pay day to end his career with his priority being remaining in the Champions League as he looks to stay top of the all-time goal scoring charts with Lionel Messi 11 behind him.

"He thinks that if he does well at this World Cup, he’ll get what he really wants," said Morgan. "Which is a club in the Champions League that extends his record and his legacy. It’s not about money at this stage of his career. It comes down to a burning desire to play football at the highest level, to break records and win trophies."

Former United forward Odion Ighalo, who currently plays in Saudi Arabia, is hoping Ronaldo joins him but expects him to chase a European club. Cristiano Ronaldo is hugely ambitious, and I think he will want to play in a Champions League team and end his career well, but you never can say,” he told The Athletic. "He has the decision to make. I wish him all the best in that decision, and hopefully, he does come to Saudi Arabia. I would love for him to come to Saudi because he would boost the league and add more fanbase to the league."

Cristiano Ronaldo Joins Saudi Arabian Side Al Nassr Until 2025

Cristiano Ronaldo has joined Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr on a deal that runs until 2025.

Ronaldo will reportedly receive the biggest football salary in history at more than £177m per year.

BBC News 31 DEC 2022

Cristiano Ronaldo became the first man to score at five different World Cups in Qatar in 2022

The Portugal captain is a free agent after leaving Manchester United following a controversial interview in which he criticised the club.

The 37-year-old says he is "eager to experience a new football league in a different country".

Ronaldo added: "I am fortunate that I have won everything I set out to win in European football and feel now that this is the right moment to share my experience in Asia."

Al Nassr - nine-time Saudi Pro League champions - described the signing as "history in the making".

The club said it would "inspire our league, nation and future generations, boys and girls to be the best version of themselves".

In the summer, Ronaldo turned down a £305m deal to join another Saudi team - Al Hilal - because he was happy at United.

Earlier in November, the striker spoke out in an interview with Piers Morgan for TalkTV in which he said he felt "betrayed" by United, did not respect manager Erik ten Hag and was being forced out of the club.

Ronaldo, who scored 145 goals in 346 appearances for United, left Juventus to rejoin the Old Trafford club in August 2021 - 11 years after he departed to join Real Madrid.

He had just over seven months remaining on his £500,000-a-week contract with United but his immediate exit was "mutually agreed".

A day after he left the club, he was banned for two domestic matches for knocking a phone out of an Everton fan's hand after United's defeat at Goodison Park in April.

He will serve the ban at domestic level with any new club - in England or abroad - although it does not apply at continental club level, such as the Champions League.

Ronaldo recently returned from playing for Portugal at the World Cup in Qatar, where he made history by becoming the first man to score at five different Fifa World Cups with his strike in his side's opening win against Ghana.

Cristiano Ronaldo Rants at His OWN COACHES as Al-Nassr Reality Begins to Finally Set In

Al Nassr Coach Garcia Hails Extraordinary Ronaldo Signing -Said The Signing of Cristiano Ronaldo Was a BIG Step Forward For Saudi Arabian Football

Cristiano Ronaldos' Al Nassr Debut Brought Plenty of Tricks But No Goals...

Al-Nassr forward Cristiano Ronaldo was involved in a furious bust-up with his own coaching team during the Saudi outfits' 1-0 defeat against Al-Wehda in the King Cup of Champions

BBC News 26 APR 2023

Cristiano Ronaldo was involved in a furious spat with the Al-Nassr coaching team

Cristiano Ronaldo lost his cool again and launched a furious verbal volley at Al-Nassr's coaches after the Saudi outfit went in at half-time trailing 1-0 to Al-Wehda in the King Cup of Champions semi-final.

Ronaldo, 38, moved to the Middle East after leaving Manchester United by mutual consent last year. And while the veteran forward has scored plenty of goals for Al-Nassr, his brief stint at the club hasn't exactly been plain sailing.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner was involved in a furious post-match spat after his side were held to 0-0 draw by by Al-Feiha in the Saudi Pro League at the start of the month.

And the veteran let rip again on Monday night with Al-Nassr trailing against Al-Wehda in the cup. As the two teams walked off at the break, a visibly disillusioned Ronaldo was seen trudging towards the bench before angrily remonstrating with his own coaching team.

Ronaldo and co re-emerged after the break but were unable to keep their cup campaign alive - even though Al-Wehda were reduced to 10 men in the 55th minute after Ronaldo was scythed down by Abdullah Al-Hafith.

Al-Nassr are currently without a manager after parting company with previous boss Rudi Garcia earlier this month. The Frenchman, who spent less than 12 months at the helm, left his post via mutual consent with the club in second place in the league.

The club are yet to confirm Garcia's successor, although a host of high-profile names have been linked with the role, including AS Roma chief Jose Mourinho and former Spain national team manager Luis Enrique. Dinko Jelicic, the former manager of the club's Under-19 team, is currently in charge.

Losing out in the King Cup of Champions will be a bitter blow for Ronaldo, who fired back at critics who slammed his decision to move to the Middle East. The veteran, who was won the Champions League and numerous domestic titles in England, Spain and Italy, outlined that he had left Europe to win new prizes as he had achieved "everything he set out" to win during stints at Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus.

"I am fortunate that I have won everything I set out to win in European football," the forward said shortly after his lucrative switch to Al-Nassr had been confirmed. "I feel now that this is the right moment to share my experience in Asia."

He added: "Al-Nassr's vision is very inspiring and impressive. I look forward to a different league experience in a different country. I am excited to join my team-mates as soon as possible."
