The footballer, GYLFI SIGURDSSON a senior international, was arrested by police last week and has been suspended by his club as police continue their investigations.

A 31-year-old premier league star footballer has been arrested and then released on bail Friday 16 July 2021 on suspicion of child sex offences. He is on police bail pending further enquiries," read a statement from Greater Manchester Police.
