The numbers '1 and 0' were placed on corpse with a 'device' it has been reported Officers in the capital city found the young girl bound up in the luggage, and covered with cuts across the throat. Investigators also found unexplained numbers marked onto the girl using a 'device'. It has been reported that the victim was also discovered with her feet and wrists bound, with tape covering her face. She had also suffered from several cuts, which were made to her throat. Mysteriously, there were also several un-explained numbers found inscribed across her body. A post-mortem examination was conducted on Saturday, and today it was concluded that the teenage girl had died of asphyxiation - oxygen deprivation. And according to French broadcaster BFMTV, the numbers '1' and '0' were found on the child's corpse, as police say the figures had not been written on or cut into girl but were were “placed” on her by a “device”. However, the officers do not know yet what the numbers mean. The girl was found outside a block of flats in the French capital's 19th arrondissement, after her father became concerned that she failed to arrive home from school on Friday. Her mother then reported her missing to the local police station later that day. Detectives quickly launched an investigation as signs of a kidnapping were discovered in the basement of the family home, after a woman outside of the building was seen carrying a suitcase. It was then later found a few streets away in rue d'Hautpoul with the girl's corpse inside. According to French media, four people are currently in custody. However, the reason for their detainment currently remains unclear. Among them is the man who called police after discovering the suitcase. The investigation into a 'murder of a minor under 15' is ongoing. |

Dahbia B, a homeless woman from Algeria, appeared before examining magistrates in Paris on Monday and was indicted in connection with the gruesome killing of 12-year-old Lola Daviet. They continued: "She asked everyone she met to help her carry it. She seemed a little crazy. At one point she left the suitcase in front of a cafe, she came and went, went in and out, we wondered what was inside her but we would never have thought of a body. "Then she went to the bakery in front of the cafe to buy a croissant, she came back like it was nothing, she looked a little unsteady." Witnesses who spoke with the press said they said the suspect entered the building alone One investigating source said evidence suggests that the girl was taken into the basement of the flat, where she was tortured, and raped, before being strangled and having her throat cut. They continued: "The suspect is believed to suffer from serious psychological problems. She was living on the street, but had friends and family in the Paris area." A judicial source confirmed that Dahbia B was in custody and charged with "the murder of a child under 15, rape, and torture." A post-mortem examination on Saturday concluded that Lola died of asphyxiation following a physical attack that included being cut with a knife. The suspect was arrested on Saturday at her sister’s home in the northern Paris suburb of Bois-Colombe. One resident said he saw the suspect dragging the suitcase around two hours prior to Lola's disappearance. "We saw her go into the building, and she was dragging the suitcase with her... She did not seem right in the mind." The whole neighbourhood has been plunged into a nightmare, with everyone living in the block in a state of disbelief. The students at Lola's school are receiving psychological support. |
