Woman Filmed Herself Sexually Abusing Children to Please Paedophile Boyfriend

A woman who recorded herself sexually abusing young children to "please" her paedophile boyfriend has been jailed.

Jay Perren, 32, was found to have more than 33,500 disturbing images and videos of "young children in pain and distress".

His former partner, Suzanne Kelly, 40, was locked up after she admitted abusing and filming the children before sending the images to Perren.

Teesside Crown Court heard her sick actions only came to light when Perren's home was raided last year and the videos of her sexual abuse were discovered among his stash.

Perren appeared via video link from HMP Durham F-wing and Kelly stood in the dock as they learnt their fate.

Paul Abrahams, prosecuting, told how police raided attended Perren's home on Hartington Road in Stockton, County Durham, on November 11 last year.

A number of incident images were retrieved from his mobile phone and he gave a list of emails and passwords linked to his offending.

Analysis of Perren's devices concluded a total of more than 33,500 indecent images and videos.

The court heard how there were 3,417 category A images - the most serious under the law.

Perren also had 2,331 category B images, 18,339 category C images and 9,489 images of extreme pornography.

Mr Abrahams said there were "young children" featured, as well as "babies, who were in "pain and distress".

Nigel Soppitt, mitigating for Perren, said his client had co-operated with officers upon his arrest and "needs help and guidance" for his interest in children.

He told how Perren has had a "troubled time in prison" since he was remanded last November...:clapper::clapper::clapper:

The court heard that Perren had first been sentenced for indecent images of children in 2008, then again for distribution of indecent images in 2016 and failure to comply with SHPO requirements in 2019.

Mr Abrahams said Kelly's offending dated back to 2012.

The court heard how she had taken pictures and videos of two young children - some sexual and some voyeuristic - over a one-month period.

When Cleveland Police officers arrested Kelly on November 6 last year, she insisted: "I never did it".

However, on November 23, Kelly was arrested again and admitted to taking photos and videos of children and distributing them to Perren, her partner at the time.

Kelly, of Westbury Street in Thornaby, North Yorkshire, was charged with four counts of sexual activity with a child.

Paul Newcome, mitigating for Kelly, said his client had "come into court completely devastated and distraught as to what she has done".

He said she had "taken pictures for the co-accused" but she didn't go on to have sex with the children in the images.

Mr Newcome said: "She is terrified at the term of imprisonment."

Mr Newcome explained how Kelly and Perren met a number of years ago when he was "working in a local pub as a disc jockey".

At the time, Kelly was "unhappy in her marriage" and their friendship developed into a sexual relationship.

Mr Newcome said Kelly "was at a low point in her life" when she met Perren and her "judgement was awful".

A pre-sentence report stated that Kelly did not derive any sexual gratification from children and "sexual interest in children is not
the main motivating feature".

Mr Newcome said: "She just wanted to please the co-accused. This is a unique set of circumstances never to be repeated."

Kelly has no previous convictions on her record.

Perren pleaded guilty to possessing indecent images of children - including category A, B and C - and possessing extreme pornographic images.

He also admitted breaching the terms of a sexual harm prevention order by using a private web browser

Kelly pleaded guilty to four counts of sexual activity with a child; voyeurism; and making and distributing indecent indecent images of children.

Judge Howard Crowson spoke to each defendant in turn to deliver the length of their prison sentences.

He said Perren "had a sexual interest in children".

The large volume of indecent images he described as "worrying" with the children "clearly drugged in some".

Perren was jailed for four years and four months and given a new sexual harm prevention order.....:crap:...:arrrrrgh:

Detective Sergeant Kev Carter, from Cleveland Police’s Paedophile Investigation Team, said: “We are very pleased with the sentence
passed today.

"The court heard that Perren is a determined individual who poses a significant risk of harm to children.

"The custodial sentence reflects the severity of his offending and there is no doubt in my mind that children will be safer for it.”

Detective Constable Angela Beilby from Cleveland Police’s CAVA (Children and Vulnerable Adult Unit), said: “Kelly may have been
confident that as the years passed she would never be held to account for her actions, however police work 24 hours a day to identify those individuals or groups who abuse children - whether in person or through taking, making or distributing indecent images.

“I welcome today’s sentence – it demonstrates that police and the courts take a very serious view of such behaviour and Kelly will now serve a lengthy period of time in prison as a consequence.”
