A Welsh couple had fled their home in terror because of the horrific and unexplained noises coming from beneath their basement.

The strange question is - are the frightening noises coming from a subterranean illicit crime hideout, paranormal residues, or as some have claimed a hoax? The bizarre occurrences all began one night in June 2018.

The house residents, business couple Alan and Christine Tait, were staying up late in their Ammanford home of 11 years. Christine went into the kitchen to prepare coffee, and while standing over the kettle, started hearing strange noises.

She went to inform her husband who was also shocked to hear the melee of frightening sounds. They could not work out where the noises were coming from, but they were very real, so the couple decided to investigate...

They claim police are ignoring their concerns and that "this matter needs an urgent, full investigation".

Dyfed-Powys Police has confirmed that they have received correspondence from Alan and officers attended the area in November last year. They did not find evidence of wrongdoing.

But the Taits believe there are men, women and children living, sleeping and working underneath the house.

Alan believes there are "quite a lot of people down there" and is concerned it could be connected to people trafficking as well as drug manufacturing.

The couple refuse to return to Ammanford and say they are fearful for their own safety. They would not say where in the UK they currently live and did not want photographs of themselves in the press.

"We're travelling around the country handing out posters and fliers about what we think is going on," said Alan.

"We want as many people as possible to know about this so that the police are urged to carry out a more thorough investigation.

"We don't want to go back until the matter has been resolved.
"I think we're dealing with a serious criminal gang here, and I think our lives could be in danger if they knew where we were."
