RapidGator Goes Down, Suspended by Hosting Company
Ernesto, Torrentfreak May 15, 2012 http://torrentfreak.com/images/rapidgator.jpg RapidGator.net has been one of the fastest growing file-hosting sites since the demise of MegaUpload. In less that half a year it grew from zero to millions of users a day. However, today RapidGator users have been unable to reach their favorite site. While some fear a second Megaupload-like shutdown, the current outage appears to stem from a dispute with the company’s hosting partner. Quote: “Our hoster have suspended our account. We are working on possible solution,” the company reportedly commented on the downtime. The above suggests that the cyberlocker is trying to find a new webhost, or attempting to resolve the current issues. This is not the first time RapidGator goes down. In February the site said it would quit their business after Paypal threw them out. However, the troubled cyberlocker eventually chose to continue operating. Filehosts are living on a knifeedge. Too much activity and you will be taken down, and too little activity you die.
And that is a problems for us downloaders. For each down is two new up. |

Most everywhere in the world you can read news of some activity that is either going on, has happened because of actions, or is pending, because of the copywrong forces. None of this legal court room stuff is cheap. Especially when you are employing a battery of high priced lawyers. I keep waiting for the day to hear that they've gone bankrupt, like EMI did. More and more I get the idea that the world would be a better place with some sort of sanity and rein in of their actions.
What these actions have done, since back in the days of Napster, has driven whack-a-mole to new levels. Until these industries figure out that giving the customer what they want at a reasonable price is the only way to beat piracy, they will never be able to compete. New ways of sharing are a matter of course. Every time someone gets closed down, they advertise for some other site in the process. It's no way to run a railroad. |

Not quite true online, the probs with these "Big Boys" is that they earn tens of thousands of $$ and they continue to "Bait" the powers that be, that they bring more attention to themselves. Rapidgator were warned so many times by PPAL to change their terms of status on their accts with them, they were so arrogant they continued to ignore those requests from PPAL and found other ways to get $$ from their members.... But they were so stupid that they never bothered to change Host/Servers to a secure situ.... :dunno: |

One of the old laws of Müller says:
The greater your activity is, the greater attention you get. Good or bad activity does not matter. |
