Re: New Malware Targets Windows, Linux, Mac OS, & MORE

About the main thing new here, is that you can nos get your malware no matter what OS you're using from the same place. Used to be drive bys were for a particular OS.

Malware got a big push from datamining and spyware. Up to that point in order to actually catch malware, you had to install something. You couldn't get it in a drive by or by looking at some site. It required your participation in some manner. What malware writers learned from spyware and dataminers is that certain actions could be triggered by showing up at a site. This in turn brought about drive bys.

Now what I am really waiting on, is when all the malware writers finally absorb the Stuxnet and Flame malware. Once they have that down, it's going to get nasty unless some active way is already in the works to kill the use of those pathways.

Something else that bothers me about that malware, is that the US claimed this past year that any attempts to do cyber hacking could be considered grounds for war. So basically, the US has already declared war on Iran. You can be sure Iran is planning on returning the favor.
