The youngster is believed to have been taken from Warne Avenue, Doylsden, Greater Manchester, on Wednesday afternoon. She was reunited with her family shortly after - with police searching for her alleged kidnapper after being called at around 4pm. Detectives, who said inquiries were ongoing during a large police presence in the area, issued two pictures of a man they urgently wanted to quiz. Anyone who sees him has been told to call 999. The first image was captured moments after the reported abduction, while the second is from about 30 minutes later, police said. Police said in a statement: "We thank the public for their assistance so far and ask that anyone with information contacts us first to help our investigation. "If you see the man, call us on 999 quoting incident 2270 of 17/08/2022. "Other details can be passed to us via our LiveChat facility on our website (www.gmp.police.uk) or by calling 101." Meanwhile, a 35-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of abduction and sexual assault. He remains in custody at this time, police said. |
