Police allegedly found 22-year-old Sofiia Karkadym hiding in the bushes after trying to win back security guard lover Tony Garnett by screaming 'I love you, Tony!'

A Ukrainian refugee who was dumped by her British lover allegedly screamed "I love you Tony" as she was arrested after trying to kick down his front door.

It comes after Tony Garnett, 30, said his relationship with Sofiia Karkadym is "finished" and he is "100 per cent through with her" after an argument over the weekend.

He famously broke up with his partner of 10 years - and mother of his two children - Lorna Garnett after they took Sofiia in as a refugee earlier this year.

Lorna claimed the Ukrainian wore "low cut tops and red lipstick" around the house in an attempt to lure in her boyfriend.

Tony then eventually split from his long-term partner and started living in a new property with Sofiia.

Sofiia has since been arrested after Tony called officers on Saturday night shortly after he broke the news that their four-month relationship was over, the Daily Mail reports.

While she initially left the home they had previously shared, Sofiia returned last night and neighbours were alerted by her yelling at Tony outside and quickly phoned police after she kicked the door.

She allegedly climbed over a garden wall and was found hiding in nearby bushes in Bradford, West Yorkshire.

Footage shows Sofiia being escorted away by two officers while she shouted: "Tony, I love you. Please come with me".

She was taken away for questioning before being released without charge.

When the relationship with Sofiia broke down, Tony told the Mail: "I am 100 per cent through with her. We are finished as a couple.

"I left Lorna and my two children for her, and I made every extra effort I could to help her keep us together.

"I worked so hard to make this relationship work. I knew that we would look like tw**s if we broke up because we have a media profile and all the attention that has been put on us on television and on the internet."

Tony claimed that he called things off after the pair had an argument during his 30th birthday celebration on Saturday night - before last night's incident.

He described his relationship with Sofiia as a "mistake" but admitted he was still looking out for her.

He added that he has even been messaging her mum since their break-up.

Tony previously said he would contact the council and Home Office to try and find the Ukrainian a new home - and has always insisted his relationship with his former partner Lorna was "already over" by the time he met Sofiia.
