Martina McBride - God's Will I met God's Will on a Halloween night He was dressed as a bag of leaves It hid the braces on his legs at first His smile was as bright as the August sun When he looked at me As he struggled down the driveway, it almost Made me hurt Will don't walk too good Will don't talk too good He won't do the things that the other kids do, In our neighborhood [Chorus:] I've been searchin', wonderin', thinkin' Lost and lookin' all my life I've been wounded, jaded, loved and hated I've wrestled wrong and right He was a boy without a father And his mother's miracle I've been readin', writin', prayin', fightin' I guess I would be still Yeah, that was until I knew God's Will Will's mom had to work two jobs We'd watch him when she had to work late And we'd all laugh like I hadn't laughed Since I don't know when Hey Jude was his favorite song At dinner he'd ask to pray And then he'd pray for everybody in the world but him [Chorus] Before they moved to California His mother said, they didn't think he'd live And she said each day that I have him, well it's just another gift And I never got to tell her, that the boy Showed me the truth In crayon red, on notebook paper, he'd written Me and God love you I've been searchin', prayin', wounded, jaded I guess I would be still Yeah that was until... I met God's Will on a Halloween night He was dressed as a bag of leaves |

Reba McEntire - What Do You Say Stuck at a red light outside an adult bookstore His son said Daddy what are all those X's for As the light turned green he changed the subject fast Started talking about football as they drove right past So what do you say in a moment like this When you can't find the words to tell it like it is Just bite your tongue and let your heart lead the way Let's get out of here Oh what do you say Seventeen years old She was out with her friends They started drinking at some party Till she was three sheets to the wind Her momma always told her she could call no matter what She was crying on the front steps When her mom showed up So what do you say in a moment like this When you can't find the words to tell it like it is Just bite your tongue and let your heart lead the way Let's get out of here Oh what do you say Sometimes you gotta listen to the silence And give yourself a little time to think Her every breath is weaker than the last And lately when she sleeps she talks about the past Her husband knows she's tired of holding on She looks at him and says I wanna go home What do you say in a moment like this When you can't find the words to tell it like it is Just close your eyes and let your heart lead the way Oh what do you say Just close your eyes and let your heart lead the way Oh what do you say Ooo, what do you say |

Martina McBride - Anyway You can spend your whole life buildin' Somethin' from nothin' One storm can come and blow it all away Build it anyway You can chase a dream That seems so out of reach And you know it might not ever come your way Dream it anyway [chorus:] God is great, but sometimes life ain't good When I pray it doesn't always turn out like I think it should But I do it anyway I do it anyway This world's gone crazy and it's hard to believe That tomorrow will be better than today Believe it anyway You can love someone with all your heart For all the right reasons And in a moment they can choose to walk away love 'em anyway [chorus] You can pour your soul out singing A song you believe in That tomorrow they'll forget you ever sang Sing it anyway Yeah, sing it anyway I sing, I dream, I love Anyway yeah |

Carrie Underwood - Temporary Home Little boy, six years old A little too used to being alone Another new mom and dad Another school, another house that will never be home When people ask him how he likes this place He looks up and says with a smile upon his face This is my temporary home, it's not where I belong Windows and rooms that I'm passing through This is just a stop on the way to where I'm going I'm not afraid because I know This is my temporary home Young mom, on her own She needs a little help, got nowhere to go She's looking for a job, looking for a way out 'Cause a halfway house will never be a home At night she whispers to her baby girl "Someday we'll find our place here in this world" This is our temporary home, it's not where we belong Windows and rooms that we're passing through This is just a stop on the way to where we're going I'm not afraid because I know This is our temporary home Old man, hospital bed The room is filled with people he loves And he whispers "Don't cry for me, I'll see you all someday" He looks up and says "I can see God's face" This is my temporary home, it's not where I belong Windows and rooms that I'm passing through This was just a stop on the way to where I'm going I'm not afraid because I know This was my temporary home This is our temporary home |

Carrie Underwood - So Small Yeah, Yeah [Verse 1] What you got if you ain't got love the kind that you just want to give away It's okay to open up go ahead and let the light shine through I know it's hard on a rainy day you want to shut the world out and just be left alone But don't run out on your faith [Chorus] 'Cause sometimes that mountain you've been climbing is just a grain of sand What you've been up there searching for forever is in your hands When you figure out love is all that matters after all It sure makes everything else seem so small [Verse 2] It's so easy to get lost inside a problem that seems so big at the time it's like a river thats so wide it swallows you whole While you sit around thinking about what you can't change and worrying about all the wrong things time's flying by moving so fast you better make it count 'cause you can't get it back [Chorus] Sometimes that mountain you've been climbing is just a grain of sand What you've been up there searching for forever is in your hands When you figure out love is all that matters after all It sure makes everything else Seem so small Sometimes that mountain you've been climbing is just a grain of sand What you've been up there searching for forever is in your hands When you figure out love is all that matters after all It sure makes everything else Oh it sure makes everything else Seem so small Yeah, Yeah |

Carrie Underwood - I'll Stand By You Oh why you look so sad The tears are in your eyes Come on and come to me now Don’t be ashamed to cry Let me see you through Cause I’ve seen the dark side too When the night falls on you You don't know what to do Nothing you confess Could make me love you less I’ll stand by you I’ll stand by you Won’t let nobody hurt you I’ll stand by you So if you're mad get mad Don’t hold it all inside Come on and talk to me now Hey, what you got to hide I get angry too Well I’m a lot like you When you're standing at the crossroads And don't know which path to choose Let me come along Cause even if you're wrong I’ll stand by you I’ll stand by you Won’t let nobody hurt you I’ll stand by you Take me in into you darkest hour And I’ll never desert you I’ll stand by you And when, when the night falls on you, baby You feeling all alone You won't be on your own I’ll stand by you I’ll stand by you Won’t let nobody hurt you I’ll stand by you Take me in into you darkest hour And I’ll never desert you I’ll stand by you Oh I’ll stand by you I’ll stand by you |

this is a beach boys song from their (1967) album Smiley Smile a personal favorite of mine. and i am posting this one cause when it was recorded they were as high as you can go. he he. and you can tell too by the song. here it is
i just think you all will get a kick out of this song. it's a good song i think. plus since they were high when it was recorded it gives you a good laugh and an also an understanding they weren't a surf band anymore either. |
Re: Good Music Thread
this song is from the masterpiece (1973) album "Buckingham Nicks' hence the name is the album that Lindsey & Stevie did before they joined Fleetwood Mac. it's also the song that Mick Fleetwood heard that got them into the band as well. it's called Frozen Love.

Re: Good Music Thread
Great music being posted jenkins4 & wildhoney66 and thank you.
What do you guys think about making a sep sub-forum in this Video section, for different music... eg; General, Jazz, Blues, Pop, All Rock, Classical? But I dont want any new sub-forum to be very big So many different types of music in this thread and hence some may get "lost" as we add to it If we do make the new sub-forums, I could then separate the Blues songs Ive posted in my next post, into separate posts Watcha think? :) |
Re: Good Music Thread
Hi Ladybbird well you could have it like this:
Blues / Classical / Opera Country / Pop / Rock which will limit the number of catorgories Or you can set it like this but will mean more catorgories Pop / Rock Oldies Jazz / R&B / Soul / Blues Bluegrass / Country / Religious / Folk Dance / Techno / Trance / House / Electronic / Indie Rap / Hip Hop / Reggae / Dubstep Seasonal / World Music Metal / Punk / Grunge But if the music vids are seperated into sections then to me the top one seems better and less sections and makes it wasier if someone just wanted clasical or blues or opera they can just go to that section etc. Hope that helps. Or you can set it with the same cats as music but on some vids it can be hard to tell were to put it sometimes so the less cats the better I think. |

'Cause it goin' to take a miracle After all I've done to really make her see That I want to be a stay man I want to be a brave man I want to be the kind of man She sees in her dreams God, I want to be Your man And I want to be her man God, I only hope she still believes In the man I want to be Well, I know this late at night the talk is cheap But Lord, don't give up on me I want to be a givin' man I want to really start livin', man God, I'm asking You to come change me Into the man I want to be |

Scotty McCreery - The Trouble With Girls The trouble with girls is they’re a mystery Something about ’em puzzles me Spent my whole life trying to figure out Just what them girls are all about The trouble with girls is they're so dang pretty Everything about ’em does something to me But I guess that’s the way it’s supposed to be They smile, that smile They bat those eyes They steal you with "hello" They kill you with "goodbye" They hook you with one touch and you can’t break free Yeah, the trouble with girls is nobody loves trouble as much as me They’re sugar and spice and angel wings And hell on wheels and tight blue jeans A summer night, down by the lake An old memory that you can’t shake They’re hard to find, yet there’s so many of ’em The way that you hate, that you already love ’em But I guess that’s the way it’s supposed to be They smile, that smile They bat those eyes They steal you with "hello" They kill you with "goodbye" They hook you with one touch and you can’t break free Yeah, the trouble with girls is nobody loves trouble as much as me The way they hold you out on the dance floor The way they ride in the middle of your truck The way they give you a kiss at the front door Leave you wishing you could have gone up And just as you walk away You hear that sweet voice say… Stay They smile, that smile They bat those eyes They steal you with "hello" They kill you with "goodbye" They’re the perfect drug and I can’t break free Yeah, the trouble with girls is nobody loves trouble as much as me |

Brad Paisley - He Didn't Have To Be When a single mom goes out on a date with somebody new It always winds up feeling more like a job interview My momma used to wonder if she'd ever meet someone Who wouldn't find out about me and then turn around and run I met the man I call my dad when I was five years old He took my mom out to a movie and for once I got to go A few months later I remember lying there in bed I overheard him pop the question and prayed that she'd say yes And then all of a sudden Oh, it seemed so strange to me How we went from something's missing To a family Lookin' back all I can say About all the things he did for me Is I hope I'm at least half the dad That he didn't have to be I met the girl that's now my wife about three years ago We had the perfect marriage but we wanted somethin' more Now here I stand surrounded by our family and friends Crowded 'round the nursery window as they bring the baby in And now all of a sudden It seemed so strange to me How we've gone from something's missing To a family Lookin' through the glass I think about the man That's standin' next to me And I hope I'm at least half the dad That he didn't have to be Lookin' back all I can say About all the things he did for me Is I hope I'm at least half the dad That he didn't have to be Yeah, I hope I'm at least half the dad That he didn't have to be Because he didn't have to be You know he didn't have to be |

The Man Across The Street [Official Video] HD Amber Lawrence The Man Across The Street The man across the street saved my life little wandering girl caught his eye, in the traffic, out on main street, I was scooped up in his arms, I can still remember how my mother cried, when the man across the street saved my life The man across the street lived alone, every shred of family long gone, broken by the memory, of a forgotten Asian war, curtains drawn garden over-grown, the man across the street lived alone chorus shadow scattered in the morning stars shining brighter in the night I just need to hear you whisper it's alright it's alright No-one ever gave the time of day, parents thought to keep their kids away, cause it’s easier to be afraid, than try to understand, he never waved the white flag of defeat, but he lost it all, the man across the street chorus shadow scattered in the morning stars shone brighter in the night I just need to hear you whisper it's alright it's alright And lest he be forgotten, I sing about him in this song, and there’s a thousand more, l ike him that paid the price, the man across the street saved my life chorus shadow scattered in the morning stars shining brighter in the night i just need to hear you whisper it's alright it's alright chorus shadow scattered in the morning stars shone brighter in the night I just need to hear you whisper it's alright it's alright |

Lady Antebellum - Need You Now Picture perfect memories scattered all around the floor. Reaching for the phone 'cause I can't fight it anymore. And I wonder if I ever cross your mind? For me it happens all the time. [Chorus:] It's a quarter after one, I'm all alone and I need you now. Said I wouldn't call but I've lost all control and I need you now. And I don't know how I can do without. I just need you now. Another shot of whiskey, can't stop looking at the door. Wishing you'd come sweeping in the way you did before. And I wonder if I ever cross your mind? For me it happens all the time. [Chorus:] It's a quarter after one, I'm a little drunk and I need you now. Said I wouldn't call but I've lost all control and I need you now. And I don't know how I can do without. I just need you now. Oh, whoa Guess I'd rather hurt than feel nothing at all. [Chorus:] It's a quarter after one, I'm all alone and I need you now. And I said I wouldn't call but I'm a little drunk and I need you now. And I don't know how I can do without. I just need you now I just need you now. Oh, baby, I need you now. |

Kelly Clarkson - Because Of You I will not make the same mistakes that you did I will not let myself Cause my heart so much misery I will not break the way you did, You fell so hard I've learned the hard way To never let it get that far Because of you I never stray too far from the sidewalk Because of you I learned to play on the safe side so I don't get hurt Because of you I find it hard to trust not only me, but everyone around me Because of you I am afraid I lose my way And it's not too long before you point it out I cannot cry Because I know that's weakness in your eyes I'm forced to fake A smile, a laugh everyday of my life My heart can't possibly break When it wasn't even whole to start with Because of you I never stray too far from the sidewalk Because of you I learned to play on the safe side so I don't get hurt Because of you I find it hard to trust not only me, but everyone around me Because of you I am afraid I watched you die I heard you cry every night in your sleep I was so young You should have known better than to lean on me You never thought of anyone else You just saw your pain And now I cry in the middle of the night For the same damn thing Because of you I never stray too far from the sidewalk Because of you I learned to play on the safe side so I don't get hurt Because of you I try my hardest just to forget everything Because of you I don't know how to let anyone else in Because of you I'm ashamed of my life because it's empty Because of you I am afraid Because of you Because of you |

Trisha Yearwood - This Is Me You're Talking To This was bound to happen It was just a matter of time This town is just too small For us to really say goodbye You're smiling that smile That you get when you're nervous Like you don't quite know what to do But this is me you're talking to This is me you're talking to I've heard you met somebody It didn't take you very long And I'll admit it isn't easy Knowing you've moved on But I can see How you could make any woman Fall deep in love with you This is me you're talking to Me, the one who really knows you Me, the one whose heart you've broken Me, the one who was still hopin' You might be missing me We don't have to do this We don't have to act like friends As much as I would love to I really just don't think I can You don't have to tell me That you really love me After all we have been through 'Cause this is me you're talking to Me, the one who really knows you Me, the one whose heart you've broken Me, the one who was still hopin' You might be missing me Oh, and you don't have to say that you do This is me you're talking to This is me you're talking to |

Terri Clark - She Didn't Have Time He said goodbye from the edge of the porch Like she'd been some casual friend He said "You're better off without me, I'm not what you need" like her momma had said about him He started the car pulled out of the drive didn't waste anytime lookin back She watched him go thinkin even a stranger would show more compassion than that [Chorus:] She could've cried but she didn't have time She had a baby to feed, a pink blanket to find, to rock their little one to sleep She could've laid in bed for hours giving misery the power But she didn't have time She got a sitter and she got a job 'cause she had a promise to keep Her day was a factory and evenin survival and night was exhaustion and sleep Sometimes she felt life was passing her by and watching was all she could do Her friends said "You gotta get outta the house and maybe you'll meet someone new" [Chorus:] She could've tried but she didn't have time She had a five years old to feed, she had ballet class, piano lessons and t-ball little league She could've laid awake for hours giving lonely nights the power But she didn't have time Not time, where would she find the time to trust a man again Not time, for that flat tire, a crowded parking lot and then, Not time, but yes have coffee with the man that got her tire fixed She was thinking "Gosh, he's handsome" When he asked "Do you have kids?" She could've lied but she didn't have time, all she said was "She's five" He said "I saw the car seat, I love kids, does she have your eyes" And they sat and talked for hours givin destiny its power She could've been afraid to fall in love that night But she didn't have time She could've been afraid to fall in love that night But she didn't have time |

Sara Evans - A Little Bit Stronger (Official Video) Woke up late today, and I still feel the sting of the pain. But I brushed my teeth anyway, I got dressed through the mess and put a smile on my face. I got a little bit stronger. Riding in the car to work, and I'm trying to ignore the hurt. So I turned on the radio, stupid song made me think of you, I listened to it for minute, but then I changed it. I'm getting a little bit stronger, just a little bit stronger. And I'm done hoping that we can work it out, I'm done with how it feels, spinning my wheels Letting you drag my heart around. And ohhh I'm done thinking, that you could ever change. I know my heart will never be the same, but I'm telling myself I'll be okay. Even on my weakest days, I get a little bit stronger. Doesn't happen over night, but you turn around and a months gone by, And you realize you haven't cried. I'm not giving you a hour or a second or another minute longer. I'm busy getting stronger. I get a little bit stronger. Getting along without you baby, I'm better off without you baby, How does it feel with out me baby? I'm getting stronger without you baby. And I'm done hoping that we can work it out, I'm done with how it feels, spinning my wheels Letting you drag my heart around. And ohhh I'm done thinking, that you could ever change. I know my heart will never be the same, But I'm telling myself I'll be okay, Even on my weakest days, I get a little bit stronger. I get a little bit stronger. I'm just a little bit stronger. Miranda Lambert - More Like Her She's beautiful in her simple little way She don't have too much to say when she gets mad She understands she don't let go of anything Even when the pain gets really bad Guess I should've been more like that You had it all for a pretty little while And some how you made me smile when I was sad You took a chance on a bruised and beaten heart Then you realized you wanted what you had I guess I should've been more like that I should have held on to my pride I should have never let you lie I guess you got what you deserved I guess I should've been more like her Forgiving you, she's stronger than I am You don't look much like a man from where I'm at It's plain to see desperation showed it's truth You love her and she loves you with all she has I guess I should've been more like that I should have held on to my pride I should have never let you lie I guess you got what you deserved I guess I should've been more like her She's beautiful in her simple, little way |
