The TV star, 70, had been filming a paranormal TV show in California when she fell ill suddenly, according to TMZ. She had been reportedly shooting on the set of an unnamed ghost-themed show at the Glen Tavern Inn in Santa Paula, California. Emergency medical services workers were called out to the Tavern at around 6.30pm over a "medical call", a Ventura County Fire Department rep told the publication. They subsequently transported a patient to Santa Paula Hospital. Sharon was confirmed to be the patient to TMZ by Santa Paula Police Chief Don Aguilar. Her current condition is not known. It comes after her husband Ozzy admitted that he would "rather stay in the US" ahead of his move back to the UK. The 70-year-old TV star and mum-of-three was rushed to hospital in California on Friday night after falling ill on set of a show. But now the star has been released from hospital and has been allowed to return home after doctors gave her the all clear. Her 37-year-old son Jack gave an update on Saturday evening - and also took the opportunity to address rumours that had been swirling about Sharon’s illness. Taking to Instagram Stories, he wrote: “Ok here is what I’ll say - first things first MY MOTHER WASN’T FILMING A EPISODE OF @ghostadventures. “She was filming a new episode of Night of Terror with me. Hahaha.” He continued: “Now that we have made that clear… she has been given the all clear from her medical team and is now home. “Thank you to everyone who has reached out with love and support.” Jack added: “As to what happened to my mum - I'm gonna leave it to her to share about when she is ready.” Reports had first emerged on Saturday that Sharon had fallen ill on Friday. TMZ broke the story, writing: “Sharon fell ill on the set of the unnamed show at the Glen Tavern Inn in Santa Paula, California. “It was not clear if the cameras were rolling.” They also flagged that the hotel where filming was taking place had once featured on an episode of the Travel Channel's Ghost Adventurers - sparking rumours that Sharon had been taking part in a new episode of the show. The report added that a hotel manager said “there was an ‘emergency,’ but he declined to provide details. We do not know Sharon's current condition.” Sharon's health scare comes after husband Ozzy continues to battle health conditions following his diagnosis with Parkinson's. The family are due to return to TV with a new reality show about thier lives. |
