Meghan Markle Cuts More Royal Ties With Open Letter Ending 'Incredible Privilege'
The Duchess' announced the end of her patronage with animal charity Mayhew - one of the few roles she kept when she and Prince Harry stepped back as full-time royals in 2020 Daily Mirror 7 APR 2022 https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...-Polo-2018.jpg Meghan Markle has cut even more ties to the UK after announcing the end of another Royal Patronage. The Duchess' announced the end of her patronage with animal charity Mayhew - one of the few roles she kept when she and Prince Harry stepped back as full-time royals in 2020. The London-based charity announced the end of their patronage yesterday, while adding it had been "an incredible privilege" to work closely with the Duchess. The mother-of-two also shared an open letter detailing her heartbreak as close friend Oli Juste, an animal behaviourist who introduced her to Mayhew in 2019, tragically died earlier this year.al clinic over Christmas ( In this letter, the Duchess added that the new wing of the charity's animal shelter would be named after him. Meghan also praised the charity's work through the coronavirus pandemic and in the evacuation of Afghanistan last summer. Her decision to quit leaves only one charity patronage left for her in Britain, the women’s clothes and job interview coaching charity Smart Works, which did not respond last night to questions about whether she remained a patron. Many royal insiders wonder whether she will ever return to Britain, where she and Harry retain a home in theory at Frogmore Cottage. Their 10-month-old daughter, Lilibet, has never met her family in the UK and their son Archie, who will be three in May, has not been here since autumn 2019. During her three-year patronage of the charity, the Duchess used her public standing to promote the work of Mayhew. In 2021, she wrote an essay highlighting the work it had done delivering care packages to pet owners stuck in lockdown or isolation during the pandemic. The Duchess said that "despite the hardship, Mayhew has been able to continue providing vital support to cats and dogs, and the communities around them". Her patronage of the Mayhew had been one of several commitments she had kept when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped back as full-time royals in 2020. In her letter announcing her departure from Mayhew, the Duchess of Sussex wrote: "I was introduced to Mayhew by my dear friend, animal behaviorist, Oli Juste. We shared, amongst many things, a commitment to animal welfare, and a deep love of rescue dogs. "In fact, it was Oli and his fiancé Rob who helped care for my rescue dog, Guy, when I had just moved to the UK and he was recovering from a debilitating accident. They loved him as though he was their own." Meghan adopted a rescue beagle named Guy while she was living in Toronto and later adopted Pula the labrador with Prince Harry, now both dogs live with the couple in their home in Montecito, California. https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...-992282610.jpg Meghan and Harry's 10-month-old daughter, Lilibet, has never met her family in the UK and their son Archie, who will be three in May, has not been here since autumn 2019 |

TRUMP Says Meghan and Harry Should Lose ALL Royal Titles in Piers Morgan Chat
Piers Morgan has revealed that Donald Trump airs his views on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle during his exclusive TV interview with the former President of the United States Daily Mirror 25 APR 2022 https://i2-prod.dailystar.co.uk/inco...123f66f2be.jpg Donald Trump has taken a swipe at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in his explosive interview with Piers Morgan. The former President of the United States sat down with the 57-year-old presenter in a pre-recorded chat for his new TV show Piers Morgan Uncensored. Taking to Twitter on Sunday evening, Morgan teased his followers when he tweeted: "UPDATE: A major new bombshell from my President Trump interview will drop tonight at 10pm." And sure enough, just after 10pm, it was revealed exactly what Trump had said to Morgan regarding Prince Harry and his wife Meghan. Speaking fondly about the Queen, Trump said he thinks she should have fully removed all of their royal titles. Donald Trump has taken a swipe at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in his explosive interview with Piers Morgan "The only thing I disagree with the Queen on, probably one of the only things ever, is that I think she should have said, 'If that’s your choice, fine. But you no longer have titles', you know, and frankly, don’t come around where you’re just, because her loyalty is to the country," Trump said. "She said that many times. Her loyalty is to the country. And I think that he has been so disrespectful to the country, and it’s a great country." https://i2-prod.dailystar.co.uk/inco...121105a1ef.jpg The former GMB host sat down with Trump for his new TV show Piers Morgan Uncensored The businessman continued: "You know, here’s my issue with it. I think that they’ve quit the country, they quit royal duty, they’re living in luxury and California. They want to use their royal titles to exploit them for massive financial gain. Without any of the duty that comes with the royal titles. I don’t think you can have your royal cake and eat it. That’s my argument about it." https://i2-prod.dailystar.co.uk/inco...AND-MEGHAN.jpg Trump also told Morgan that he really doesn't think Harry and Meghan's marriage is going to last. |

Netflix Cancels Meghan Markle Animated Series Pearl
Netflix has cancelled development of Pearl, an animated series created by Meghan Markle, in its move to cut costs. BBC News 3 MAY 2022. https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/976/cp...1136910246.jpg The show, which was announced last year, is one of several projects being dropped by the streaming giant. Last month, Netflix revealed a sharp fall in subscribers and warned millions more are set to quit the service. That wiped over $50bn off the company's market value as experts warned it faced a struggle to get back on track. Archewell Productions, the company formed by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, announced last year that Meghan would be an executive producer of Pearl. The series was planned to centre on the adventures of a 12-year-old girl, who is inspired by influential women from history. Netflix did, however, confirm that it will continue to work on a number of projects with Archewell Productions, including a documentary series called Heart of Invictus. The series will focus on athletes competing in the Invictus Games for injured veterans, an event founded by Prince Harry, in The Hague in 2022. Archewell Productions did not immediately respond to a BBC request for comment. Netflix also said that it had decided not to move forward with two animated children's series Dino Daycare and Boons and Curses. -- Have we had enough of Netflix? -- $50bn wiped off Netflix’s value as subscribers quit In April, Netflix said its total number of subscribers had dropped by 200,000 in the first three months of this year, falling well short of its target. It also warned that some two million more users were likely to quit the service in the three months to July. Some analysts warned that, after a period of very strong expansion during the pandemic, the company had run out of easy ways to grow the business. Squeezed consumers are cutting back on streaming services to save money, while some feel there is too much content to choose from amid an avalanche of competition from rivals such as Disney and Amazon. |

Meghan Markle in New Court Drama as Sister Demands She's Grilled in Defamation Case
Meghan Markle and her estranged sister Samantha are in the midst of a bitter legal row with the later demanding £60,000 damages for defamation Daily Mirror 21 MAY 2022 https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...1052224930.jpg https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...e_18125JPG.jpg Meghan Markles’ sister wants a judge to order Prince Harrys’ wife to be grilled by a lawyer on video. The Duchess of Sussex, who shot to fame playing legal executive Rachel Zane in the TV drama Suits, could be *questioned for up to seven hours while cameras roll. The move is the latest twist in a bitter legal row between siblings Meghan, 40, and Samantha, 57. It comes days after Meghan filed a 27-page court bid in Tampa, Florida, to dismiss a defamation case brought by Samantha, who wants £60,000 damages. She claims her reputation was wrecked by comments the duchess made about her childhood during last year’s tell-all TV interview with Oprah Winfrey. https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...s-Season-2.jpg This update comes days after Meghan filed a 27-page court bid to dismiss a defamation case brought by Sam Samantha also complains about claims in the book Finding Freedom – Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand’s bombshell biography of Meghan’s early days with Harry. The Duchess later admitted to the High Court in London that the book was written with the help of her friends. Last night Samantha’s lawyer Jamie Alan Sasson told us: “Our intention is to take this case to a jury trial. “I feel confident we’ll get past the motion to dismiss. We expect to start taking depositions in this case within the next six months.” Last night Sam’s lawyer Jamie Alan Sasson told Sunday People: 'Our intention is to take this case to a jury trial. I feel confident we’ll get past the motion to dismiss' He said a move could even be made to ask for evidence from Prince Harry, 37, although he could refuse. The lawyer said: “I think he would have relevant information.” Samantha claims she has been a victim of false and malicious statements which subjected her to worldwide humiliation. She accused Meghan of concocting a “false narrative and fairy-tale life story”. Samantha is demanding £60,000 damages If Meghan’s questioning on video goes ahead, it would be as a deposition – part of what is called the discovery process in the US, where 99 out of 100 civil cases settle out of court before trial. Under Florida state law, Meghan will have to give a deposition on request Meghan’s legal team include high-flying lawyers Ronnie Bitman, who represented the estate of dead singer Michael Jackson, and Michael Kump, who has acted for TV reality star Kim Kardashian. Samantha has until June 3 to file a *response, which will be considered by a US federal judge who will then rule on whether the case can proceed. https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...n-Princess.jpg Meghan Markle’s estranged sister wants a judge to order the Duchess to undergo a legal grilling - recorded on video Meghan’s lawyers have claimed in their motion filed on May 13: “This is a defamation case without any merit.” Referring to the book at the centre of the case, they added: “The authors of Finding Freedom made the statements, and there are no allegations – nor could there be – that Meghan wrote that book or otherwise controlled its composition and editing.” Samantha and Meghan are half-sisters with the same father, Thomas Markle. |

Prince Harry Wins First Part of Legal Battle Against Newspaper Over Security Row
The Duke of Sussex was suing for defamation over an article headlined: "Exclusive: How Prince Harry tried to keep his legal fight with the government over police bodyguards a secret..." Daily Mirror 8 JUL 2022 https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...1177177288.jpg Prince Harry has won the first stage of a legal battle against a UK newspaper publisher. A judge ruled that parts of a Mail on Sunday story about the Duke of Sussex's lawsuit against the Home Office were defamatory. The decision paves the way for Harry to take his libel claim to a court trial. The story was published in in February under the headline: "Exclusive: How Prince Harry tried to keep his legal fight with the government over police bodyguards a secret... then - just minutes after the story broke - his PR machine tried to put a positive spin on the dispute." At a hearing in June, Mr Justice Nicklin was asked to determine the "natural and ordinary" meaning of the parts of the article in the claim, and whether they were damaging to Harr'y reputation. https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...1177177288.jpg Prince Harry moved to America with wife Megan In a ruling on Friday, the judge found that parts of the article in the claim were defamatory. Discussing one of the meanings of the article, Mr Justice Nicklin said a reader would think Harry "was responsible for public statements, issued on his behalf, which claimed that he was willing to pay for police protection in the UK, and that his legal challenge was to the Government's refusal to permit him to do so, whereas the true position, as revealed in documents filed in the legal proceedings, was that he had only made the offer to pay after the proceedings had commenced". He also said the article would have been read as alleging Harry "was responsible for trying to mislead and confuse the public as to the true position, which was ironic given that he now held a public role in tackling 'misinformation"'. Mr Justice Nicklin added: "It may be possible to 'spin' facts in a way that does not mislead, but the allegation being made in the article was very much that the object was to mislead the public. Harry was arguing over security arrangements when his family come to the UK "That supplies the necessary element to make the meanings defamatory at common law." The senior judge also found that the article did not suggest that Harry "was seeking to keep his 'legal battle' with the Government secret", though it was suggested by the headline if read alone. He continued: "Read as a whole, the article was quite clear that he was seeking certain confidentiality restrictions in relation to 'documents and witness statements' in the proceedings, not blanket secrecy on the whole claim." The judge found that an ordinary reader would understand the article to mean that Harry "had initially sought confidentiality restrictions that were far-reaching and unjustifiably wide and were rightly challenged by the Home Office". Friday's judgment only relates to the "objective meaning" of the article, Mr Justice Nicklin said, adding it is the first stage in the libel claim..... |

Bombshell Claim CAMILLA Asked If Meghan Markle & Harry's Son Would Have Ginger Afro
In his new book, biographer Tom Bower claims Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, allegedly jokingly asked Prince Harry if his child Archie would have a 'Ginger Afro' - but sources close to Camilla say the claims are 'nonsense' Daily Mirror 22 JUL 2022 https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...The-Colour.jpg https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...ral-London.jpg Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, Prince William and Prince Charles https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...ive-images.jpg The Duchess of Cornwall has been dragged into the royal race row by sensational new claims she told Prince Harry it would be “funny” if his unborn mixed-race child had “ginger Afro hair”. Camilla allegedly made the incendiary comment during discussions in 2016 with Harry and his family concerning his new relationship with the American actress Meghan Markle. The explosive revelations are contained in journalist Tom Bower’s new unauthorised biography, ‘Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the war between the Windsors’, which explores an alleged “rift” between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and other members of the monarchy. Sources close to Camilla today hit back at the claims as “nonsense”. After fevered speculation over his new relationship with Meghan, now 40, Harry met with his father Prince Charles for advice on how to handle the situation, Mr Bower claims. Harry and Meghan raising a family in America The intimate chats included Meghan continuing in her career as a television actress, offers of police protection and a controversial comment on the appearance of his unborn children. In a separate interview Harry and Meghan later told US chat show queen Oprah Winfrey that a member of his family, who they refused to name, made a comment on how “dark his skin might be when he’s born” in reference to their first born Archie. Mr Bower claims: “During those weeks, Harry met Charles and Camilla at Clarence House. https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...S253850699.jpg The couple with their children, Archie and Lilibet “In Harry’s version, Harry was told that Meghan should continue with her acting career. “Second, Scotland Yard could not automatically be expected to pay for his girlfriend’s 24- hour protection. Just over a year later, in November 2017, Harry and Meghan announced their engagement and married in a lavish ceremony at Windsor Castle in the spring the following year. https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...EGHANjpgan.jpg Harry and Meghan's now notorious interview with Operah The couple were lauded as the new fresh face of the monarchy, ready to capitalise on Meghan’s soaring public profile and humanitarian background having worked with global charities and spoken at the United Nations. But the couple quickly became disillusioned with royal life, believing they were being sidelined before they plotted their escape from The Firm. Meghan later revealed in their Oprah interview how she felt suicidal when pregnant with her first child after feeling abandoned by the royal family. The couple sensationally decided to quit their royal roles, making an unprecedented announcement on Instagram in January 2020, after feeling their pleas for change were not being listened to. A year later after being told by the Queen there was no place for a “half in half out” model, the Duke and Duchess decided to unleash a series of damaging allegations in the bombshell chat with Oprah in front of an audience of 80million. Meghan went further to claim how there were “several conversations” between herself, Harry and members within the royal family about “how dark” their baby could be before their son Archie was born. https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...rvice-2020.jpg The royals at the 2020 Commonwealth Day Service “In those months when I was pregnant [there were] concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he was born,” Meghan said in the interview. Harry added: “That conversation, I am never going to share. At the time it was awkward, I was a bit shocked.” Mr Bower goes on to claim in his book: “Four years later, Harry described the aftermath of those conversations as ‘really hard’ and ‘awkward’. “But none of his previous girlfriends had given up work or been protected by the police. |

Prince Harry Wins Latest Court Fight Against Home Office Over Security Arrangements
Prince Harry has won part of his latest legal challenge to take the Home Office to the High Court following their refusal to allow him to pay for police protection while in the UK BBC 23 JUL 2022 https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/976/cp...32000x1360.jpg The Duke of Sussex has been granted permission to bring a High Court challenge against the Home Office over his security arrangements in the UK. Prince Harry wants a review of the decision to not allow him to pay for police protection for himself and his family while visiting from the US. A February 2020 decision ruled they would not be afforded the "same degree" of protection while in the UK. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped back from royal duties in January 2020. In a judgment on Friday, the High Court judge said the case could proceed, granting permission for part of Prince Harry's claim to have a judicial review. Mr Justice Swift said: "The application for permission to apply for judicial review is allowed in part and refused in part." A judicial review is where a judge reviews the lawfulness of a decision or action made by a public body, such as the Home Office. The duke's challenge concerns the February 2020 decision of the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (Ravec), which falls under the Home Office's management. Ravec told the duke he and his family would no longer be given the level of personal protection he received as a full-time working royal. Prince Harry won the right to challenge the lack of transparency around Ravec's decision-making and its policies, and whether its decision about the level of protection was reasonable. Partial victory for prince Analysis by Sean Coughlan, Royal Correspondent This is a win for Prince Harry, but as the judge's ruling spells out, there's a long way to go between being allowed to challenge and winning that challenge. The legal battle can move up to the next stage, but it was a partial victory, with many of the prince's legal challenges over decisions about his security being rejected. It might feel sometimes as though Prince Harry is now more of a feature of the law courts rather than the royal court. And in the background to this is the still unresolved fall-out from Prince Harry no longer being a "working royal". Buckingham Palace has always been clear there are no "half-in, half-out" royals. But this legal wrangle over levels of security when he returns to the UK once again raises the question of his status. --- Prince Harry's legal team have argued the security arrangements set out in a letter from Ravec, and their application when he visited the UK in June 2021, were invalid due to "procedural unfairness". They said this was because he was not given an opportunity to make "informed representations beforehand". His team also said he had not been aware that a top aide to the Queen, with whom he faced "significant tensions", had played a role in the decision to downgrade his security. Shaeed Fatima QC, for the duke, told the court earlier this month: "He didn't know at that stage that the Royal Household was involved at all... he was told it was an independent decision." However, lawyers for the Home Office say Ravec was entitled to reach the decision it did, which is that Prince Harry's security arrangements will be considered on a "case by case" basis, and argue that permission for a full judicial review should be refused. Prince Harry and the Home Office will submit further information to the court ahead of any application for judicial review. |

Meghan Markle's Half-Brother in Legal Bid to Get Britney-Style Conservatorship

Tom Jr has lodged a bid for Thomas Senior, 78, to be put under a “conservatorship” as he battles back from a stroke. The move will let Tom Jr, 55, manage a court case in which the former Hollywood lighting engineer is suing British photographer Jeff Rayner over staged photos taken before Meghan’s 2018 wedding to Prince Harry. The pictures led to a breakdown in the relationship between Meghan, 41, and her dad. The conservatorship plan was revealed in documents filed in California about the Rayner case. Tom Jr told the court he is “in the process” of obtaining the legal arrangement to step in for his dad. A similar arrangement was put in place by the family of US pop queen Britney Spears when she suffered health problems. It led to the troubled singer’s life and finances being governed by relatives for more than a decade. It is understood the plan for Thomas Snr is less far-reaching. A wlllaced source told the Sunday Mirror: “Tom Snr has had a series of health scares and his son wants to do the best for him by taking any stress away. https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...1240055856.jpg Meghan has not spoken to her father since her wedding “Cases in America grind on for months or years so it will be a weight off Tom Snr’s mind. In the Tom Bower book, Revenge: Meghan , Harry and the War Between The Windsors, he was claimed to have said: “I got screwed Rayner… I want to tear him down. If they tell me I’ve got terminal cancer, then I’ll kill him because I have nothing to lose.” The pair are due in court in November when Thomas Snr will seek $1million, claiming the staged pictures caused him “worldwide embarrassment”. https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...MAS-MARKLE.jpg Her father missed her wedding to Prince Harry in Windsor in 2018 due to a heart attack Tom Jr already lives close to his father in Rosarito, Mexico, helping him to recover from his stroke. Meghan Interview: We Upset Royal Dynamic Just by Existing, Says Duchess of Sussex
Meghan Markle ‘ i Struggle at Not Being Able to Afford My $14M Mansion‘ In an interview with US magazine The Cut, Meghan, 41, talks about her life when she was a royal and why she and the Duke of Sussex moved to the US. BBC News 31 AUG 2022. https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/976/cp...00892062-1.jpg The Duchess of Sussex says she upset the "dynamic of the hierarchy" of the Royal Family "just by existing". Talking about her exit from the Royal Family the duchess said it "takes a lot of effort to forgive". She also spoke about Prince Harry's relationship with his father, the Prince of Wales. Asked by journalist Alison P Davis about the impact of her privacy case against the Mail on Sunday, Meghan said: "Harry said to me, 'I lost my dad in this process.' "It doesn't have to be the same for them as it was for me, but that's his decision." A spokeswoman for the duchess later told BBC News that Meghan was referring to her own father, from whom she is estranged, and was saying she hoped the same would not happen to her husband. A source close to Prince Charles told the PA news agency he would be saddened if Prince Harry felt their relationship was lost, adding: "The Prince of Wales loves both his sons". The 37-year-old prince has previously said his father "stopped taking my calls" after the couple stepped back as senior working royals in 2020. Under the arrangement, the couple gave up their Royal Highness titles, and became able to work to become financially independent. Harry retained the title of prince through birth. Prior to this, the Sussexes reportedly set out a vision for continuing to be working royals in the Commonwealth and to earn their own money, in the hope this would reduce "the noise" about them. Meghan told The Cut: "That, for whatever reason, is not something that we were allowed to do, even though several other members of the family do that exact thing." After announcing they would step back from royal duties, Prince Harry and Meghan initially moved to Canada in January 2020. But, after Canada said it would stop providing security for the family, the family moved to California, where they lived in a home provided by media mogul Tyler Perry before buying their own property in Montecito. Analysis by Sean Coughlan, Royal Correspondent Meghan is media dynamite, so a fairly gentle interview, with some open-to-interpretation comments, has blasted its way on to the front pages. For her fans, it was another slice of the unfair, crabby-minded pressures of royal life that forced Meghan and Harry to move to California. For her critics, it was more deluded self-promotion, seizing on quotes such as Meghan being told that her marriage to Harry was greeted in South Africa with rejoicing the same as "when Mandela was freed from prison". The article describes them living in the "home equivalent of billionaires dressing down in denim" and their complaints might grate with families worried sick about paying energy bills. But the interview raised some of the contradictions facing Harry and Meghan. They wanted to get away from the suffocation of royal life, but their royal links are their most bankable assets. It's like old rockers not wanting to talk about their early records, when that's the only reason people are interested. They also wanted to escape media intrusion and they have in effect become part of the media, with deals with Spotify and Netflix. And Harry voiced the perennial royal dilemma: "If you do something, they criticise you. If you don't do anything, they criticise you anyway." --- Davis, a features writer who has previously interviewed celebrities such as Jada Pinkett Smith and Lena Dunham, asked Meghan if she thought there was room for forgiveness between her and her royal in-laws and her own family. The duchess responded: "I think forgiveness is really important. It takes a lot more energy to not forgive. "But it takes a lot of effort to forgive. I've really made an active effort, especially knowing that I can say anything." In the 6,450-word interview, Meghan also: spoke of her fears that staying in the UK may have exposed her son, Archie, three, to excessive media attention criticised the lack of control she had over the release of family photographs when she was a senior royal said Archie is taught the importance of manners, with the phrase "manners make the man" often repeated told how the couple initially resisted viewing their $14.65m (£12.48m) California home as they did not think they could afford it divulged that she packed up their belongings at Frogmore Cottage, Windsor, while visiting for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee revealed she was considering a return to Instagram The Cut interview was part of a promotion effort for the duchess's Spotify podcast, Archetypes, which launched last week. The series promises to "investigate, dissect and subvert the labels that try to hold women back", with tennis legend Serena Williams discussing ambition on the first episode, while pop star Mariah Carey features in the second instalment, released on Tuesday. In Carey's episode the duchess says there was more focus on her race once she started dating her husband. "Then I started to understand what it was like to be treated like a black woman, because up until then I had been treated like a mixed woman and things really shifted," she said. The Sussexes, who also have a one-year-old daughter, Lilibet, have signed deals with Spotify and Netflix since leaving the UK. Prince Harry told Davis he did not believe some members of the Royal Family could live and work together as closely as he and his wife do. The article described the Sussexes running their company Archewell while sitting at a single desk in a shared home office. "Most people that I know and many of my family, they aren't able to work and live together," Prince Harry said. "It's actually really weird because it'd seem like a lot of pressure. But it just feels natural and normal." Both Harry and Meghan have had legal battles with parts of the British media and the duchess told Davis she would not have been able to pick Archie up from school in the UK "without it being a royal photo call with a press pen of 40 people snapping pictures". "Sorry, I have a problem with that. That doesn't make me obsessed with privacy. That makes me a strong and good parent protecting my child," she said. Several royal correspondents have taken to social media to say this would not be the case and have said its time for Meghan to just SHUT UP and try to show some dignity as that shown by The Royal Family The Cut Interview https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/710/cp...407cc95e59.jpg https://pyxis.nymag.com/v1/imgs/4dc/...tical.w570.jpg https://pyxis.nymag.com/v1/imgs/17e/...tical.w570.jpg an interview with US magazine The Cut https://pyxis.nymag.com/v1/imgs/15c/...ontal.w900.jpg . |
re: Prince Harry & Meghan Remain in UK For Funeral-Meghan NOT Welcome at Balmoral
Meghan Shares Her Self-Doubt With Young Audience at The One Young Summit in Manchester: It is Very Nice to be back in The UK -Meghan
In her first speech in the UK since stepping down as a "working royal", the Duchess of Sussex told a young audience of her own struggle for self-belief. BBC News 6 SEP 2022. https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/640/cp...v078507437.jpg Meghan in Manchester Prince Harry accompanied Meghan to the speech in Manchester Meghan recalled her nervousness at the same One Young World summit eight years ago and having a "pinch-me moment, where you just go: 'How am I here?'" She described her sense of self-doubt at being alongside world leaders when: "I was the girl from Suits." Prince Harry accompanied her at the youth summit in Manchester. This was the first visit to the UK by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex since the Queen's Platinum Jubilee and the first public address in the UK by Meghan since the couple's move to the United States. It's also a visit that follows a strongly-divided reaction to an interview with Meghan last week, which re-opened claims of family tensions. "It is very nice to be back in the UK," she began her keynote address at the One Young Summit in Manchester's Bridgewater Hall - after an earlier welcome from the city's mayor Andy Burnham. In a speech that side-stepped any controversy, the duchess described her own imposter-syndrome feelings when she attended the 2014 version of the event, when she was a TV actress and before meeting Prince Harry. "I wasn't sure that I belonged. I was so nervous. I doubted myself and I wondered if I was good enough to even be there," she told her audience of young leaders from more than 190 countries. "I was so overwhelmed by this experience. I think I even saved my little paper place card that said my name on it. Just proof that I was there," Meghan told the audience. "I'm thrilled that my husband is able to join me here this time," she said, at an event with fees of over £3,000 for delegates, which organisers say are mostly funded by scholarships or charity partners. She told the young delegates: "You are the ones driving the positive and necessary change needed across the globe." https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/976/cp...37047ab4f1.jpg The Duke and Duchess of Sussex leaving the National Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul's Cathedral, London Critics accuse the couple of still relying on royal connections to promote their new careers in the US Meghan's speech followed a coruscating address from the pop star Bob Geldof, who warned the young leaders not to turn into "creeps" if they were ever in power. The Sussexes had travelled by train from London to Manchester for the first of a series of events on their UK visit. But it's not known whether the duke and duchess will meet other members of the Royal Family this week, including the Queen, who is in Balmoral and due to hold an audience on Tuesday with the new prime minister. Sources say an open invitation remains for a meeting with Prince Charles, although not one specifically issued for this week. There is no confirmation about whether Prince Harry and Meghan will meet the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge - with both couples near each other on the Windsor estate. But there will be a trip to Germany to support plans for next year's Invictus Games for injured veterans and they will make an appearance at the WellChild Awards, celebrating the achievements of seriously-ill children, which will be held in London on Thursday. The visit to the UK follows a blizzard of publicity surrounding Meghan's US interview with New York magazine The Cut and the first episodes of her Spotify podcast series. https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/976/cp...1241585742.jpg Queen Elizabeth II attends an Armed Forces Act of Loyalty Parade in Edinburgh, Scotland In a break with tradition, the Queen will have an audience with the new UK PM at Balmoral, not Buckingham Palace Prince Harry has also been involved in a legal wrangle over the level of security provided to him and his family when visiting the UK. The prospect of a tell-all memoir from the prince also hovers in the background. Meghan's magazine interview, conducted in the sunshine of her Californian mansion, strongly divided opinion - with her supporters seeing it as a further account of why she needed to escape the pressures of life within the Royal Family. She said she upset the "dynamic of the hierarchy" of the Royal Family "just by existing" - and suggesting unresolved disputes she said it "takes a lot of effort to forgive". But her vociferous critics accused her of "delusion", seizing on quotes such as Meghan recounting being told that her marriage to Harry was greeted in South Africa with rejoicing the same as "when Mandela was freed from prison". There were also accusations that having left their lives as working royals, they were still relying on that connection to promote their new careers and media ventures in the US. This will be the couple's first visit to the UK since the Platinum Jubilee, when they attended events including a service of thanksgiving at St Paul's Cathedral. But despite high levels of public interest that had been a low-key trip, with them staying out of the limelight for what was a celebration of the life of the Queen. Their latest trip to the UK is against the background of further concerns about the health of the 96-year-old monarch. The Queen has had to pull out of attending events such as the Braemar highland games and for the first time in her reign she has switched the location of the audience with a new prime minister, which will now be in Balmoral rather than Buckingham Palace. Three years ago when she appointed Boris Johnson, a photo of Prince Harry and Meghan was visible behind the Queen's handshake with her new PM. Much has changed for all of them since then. |

Prince Harry and Meghan Will Stay in UK Until After Funeral of Queen Elizabeth
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expected to remain in the UK until after the Queen's funeral and are said to be weighing up whether or not to have kids Archie and Lilibet flown over from the US Harry Told by Charles ‘Meghan NOT Welcome at Balmoral to See Dying Queen The Duke of Sussex reportedly received a call from Charles telling him to come to Balmoral to see the Queen in her final hours but he was told that "Meghan would not be welcome" Markles' LATEST Appearance on US Talk Show 'Postponed' After Death of The Queen Daily Mirror UK 10 SEP 2022 https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...1232358968.jpg Harry during Prince Philip's funeral https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...court-case.jpg Meghan Markle the Queen oF Talk Show guests The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were in the country as part of a mini Euro tour when the monarch suddenly passed away on Thursday. Harry, 37, had been due to speak at the WellChild awards in London on the same day but pulled out so he could rush to Balmoral Castle in Scotland where Elizabeth II died surrounded by her family. Meghan, 41, remained in the English capital, similarly to Kate who stayed at home while Prince William travelled up north. The Sussexes touched down in Britain last Saturday and have appeared at events in Manchester and in Dusseldorf, Germany, and were thought to be planning to jet back home to California, US, imminently. But are now understood to be staying until at least Monday, September 19 when the state funeral is expected at Westminster Abbey. https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...anksgiving.jpg Harry and Meghan are expected to be staying in the UK until after the Queen's funeral They are also said to have discussed whether their children, Archie, three, and Lilibet, one, will be making the trip over, reports HELLO. The magazine's royal editor Emily Nash said: "We understand that Harry and Meghan will be staying in the UK until after the funeral. "It's fair to say that they obviously want to be present for the Queen and pay tribute to her." Ms Nash went on to say Balmoral itself holds further significance for William and Harry because they were staying there when they learned of their mum Diana's death in 1997. She added: "One of the most painful times in their lives happened while they were on holiday at Balmoral and that won't have been lost on them when they travelled back there to be there at the Queen's bedside. "It must have been incredibly sad for everyone involved, but it was the place she loved, the place which her grandchildren said was one of the most beautiful in the world and I'm sure they'll take comfort in knowing that she was in such beautiful surroundings." Harry is said to have received news his grandmother had died while he was still in the air, flying to the Highlands from Windsor. He was then seen leaving Balmoral in a Range Rover shortly after 8am on Friday. The duke had always shared a strong bond with the Queen, as he did with Prince Philip who died in April 2021. Despite stepping down as a working royal, alongside Meghan, in March 2020 and moving to Montecito in Santa Barbara, he had jetted back for his grandfather's funeral. |

Prince Harry Breaks Silence on Not Wearing Military Uniform For Queens' Funeral
Prince William and Prince Harry to Walk Behind Queens' Coffin to Westminster Hall BBC UK 14 SEP 2022 https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/976/cp...d7edf232f2.jpg Prince Harry has broken his silence on not wearing military uniform for Queen's funeral. A spokesperson said: “[ Prince Harry ] will wear a morning suit throughout events honouring his grandmother. https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...-170652147.jpg Harry in military uniform alongside his grandmother the Queen during Trooping the Colour in 2013 "His decade of military service is not determined by the uniform he wears and we respectfully ask that focus remain on the life and legacy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II", according to royal commentator and author Omid Scobie. Yesterday it was reported how Prince Harry was reportedly denied the chance to wear military uniform as he mourns the Queen, even though his disgraced uncle Prince Andrew will be permitted to do so at a lying in state vigil. Harry, who saw action on the front line during two tours of duty in Afghanistan, will be in civilian dress for official events including the late monarch’s state funeral. Only working royals – which Harry and Andrew are not – are being permitted to dress in uniform at five ceremonial occasions. These are the St Giles’ Cathedral service in Edinburgh, which took place earlier where Andrew wore a morning suit, and the coffin’s procession to Westminster Hall, the vigil at the lying in state, the funeral in Westminster Abbey and the committal service in Windsor. However, Andrew, who stepped down from public life after the furore over his friendship with paedophile billionaire Jeffrey Epstein and later had his honorary titles stripped, will be wearing uniform for the final vigil around the Queen’s coffin during the lying in state in Westminster Hall. |

Queens' Final Birthday Message to Prince Harry Revealed as He Turns 38 Today The Duke of Sussex turns 38 today amid the ongoing preparations for the Queen's funeral next Monday, as the monarch's last birthday greeting to her beloved grandson has been revealed BBC News 16 SEP 2022. https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...-Of-Westmi.jpg Prince Harry wipes away a tear at the Westminster service The Duke of Sussex today celebrates turning 38 a week after losing his beloved grandmother, who gave him one last heartfelt birthday message. Prince Harry is still in the UK as he and his wife Meghan Markle prepare for the Queen’s funeral next Monday with the rest of the Royal Family. The family's social media accounts uploaded four pictures of Harry on his birthday, including one with Meghan in Australia in 2018 and another of the Duke with schoolchildren in Botswana, the Daily Star reports. The Queen's final birthday message to Prince Harry read: "Wishing The Duke of Sussex a happy birthday today!" Dan Walker slammed critics of Prince Harry and Meghan holding hands at Westminster Hall Yesterday the prince joined his brother William - the new Prince of Wales - and their father King Charles III leading the procession behind the Queen’s coffin from Buckingham Palace to Westminster. During the service, members of the Royal Family stood in formation facing the coffin on its purple-covered catafalque. As it continued an emotional Prince Harry appeared to lose his composure as he was seen wiping tears from his eyes. Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex's daughter, Lady Louise Windsor, was seen wiping away tears during the service, as was Princess Eugenie of York. Once the moving service was over and the Queen's relatives left the hall, the Sussexes were one of the few royal couples to hold hands with a tight grip after both had bowed and curtsied to the coffin. According to body language expert Judi James, their hand holding gesture was needed. She said: "Inside the service the wives joined their husbands, but again the large spatial distances looked deliberate to create an air of formality. "As they couples filed out they seemed to keep to this formation apart from Harry and Meghan, who moved closer and stretched their arms across the gap to hold hands in a mutual re-linking gesture. "They used their clasped hands as a method of offering support, comfort and reassurance to each other and, walking behind William and Kate and presumably on the brink of a moment when chat might be near, the re-coupling appeared to be desperately important to them." https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...-Elizabeth.jpg The two brothers during the service in Westminster Hall After the Queen’s death, the Duke of Sussex said : "In celebrating the life of my grandmother, Her Majesty The Queen—and in mourning her loss—we are all reminded of the guiding compass she was to so many in her commitment to service and duty. https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...lower-Show.jpg The Queen's last kiss to her grandson, the Duke of Sussex “Granny, while this final parting brings us great sadness, I am forever grateful for all of our first meetings—from my earliest childhood memories with you, to meeting you for the first time as my Commander-in-Chief, to the first moment you met my darling wife and hugged your beloved great-grandchildren.” Prince Harry Can Now Wear Military Uniform to Queen’s Vigil After Being Denied https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/images/ic/640x360/p01j1yl9.jpg Prince Harry in Afghanistan https://pagesix.com/wp-content/uploa..._60.jpg?w=1024 https://pagesix.com/wp-content/uploa...rip=all&w=1024 Prince Harry will now be allowed to wear his military uniform during a special vigil. The Queen’s eight grandchildren, including Prince William and Harry, are expected to stand on Saturday evening for a 15-minute vigil alongside their grandmother’s coffin. The Queen’s other grandchildren including Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, Zara and Peter Philips and Lady Louise and James, Viscount Severn will also be taking part in the vigil at Westminster Hall. |

Prince Harry Heartbroken' as 'ER' Removed From His Uniform But Not William's
Prince Harry was expected to wear his morning suit instead of a military uniform as he kept vigil by the Queen's coffin with Prince William. The Duke of Sussex is understood to have been "heartbroken" when the 'ER' initials were removed Daily Mirror UK 19 SEP 2022 https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...nster-Hall.jpg Prince Harry was "devastated" at having to remove the 'ER' symbol from his military uniform as he held vigil by her coffin - even though Prince William was allowed to keep his, it is claimed. The Duke of Sussex, who has seen active service in Afghanistan, took part in a vigil last night alongside William and cousins Zara Tindall and Peter Phillips, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. Prince Edward's children Lady Louise Windsor and her brother James, Viscount Severn were also present. However it was noticeable that the uniform he was wearing did not have the initials 'ER' in honour of his grandmother. Harry was allowed to wear the military uniform inside the hall after he was given permission by his father, King Charles III. It was originally reported the plans were that he would wear a morning suit due to him no longer being a working royal. Queen Elizabeth II's grandchildren mount a family vigil over her coffin lying in state in Westminster Hall. Queen Elizabeth II died at Balmoral Castle in Scotland on September 8, 2022, and is succeeded by her eldest son, King Charles III After the initials were not removed from Prince William, a pal told The Sunday Times: "He is heartbroken. To remove his grandmother’s initials feels very intentional." Reports suggest Harry nearly decided to wear the morning suit anyway to avoid "humiliation". However it does not appear to be an intentional snub - the initials are traditionally only worn by those 'in service' of the monarch. Hopes for a reconciliation between the two brothers still seem like a long way away, despite some comparisons being made between them keeping vigil yesterday and the moment they walked behind Princess Diana's coffin in 1997. The brothers have put on a united front in public along with their respective wives Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle, despite the reports of the rift between them continuing. Tensions emerged long before Harry finally announced his decision to quit the royals in January 2020. Prince Harry Chartered £30,000 Private Jet to Fly to Balmoral on Day Queen Died
Prince Harry reportedly flew to Balmoral on a private plane to join the rest of the Royal Family after news started to emerge abut the Queen's failing health Daily Mirror UK 24 SEP 2022 https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...h-II-death.jpg Prince Harry chartered a £30,000 private jet to fly to Balmoral on day Queen died, it has been claimed. https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...RY_ABZ_005.jpg Prince Harry on his way to Balmoral as the Queen was under medical supervision The dad-of-two is then said to have found out about the late monarch's death from a phone app minutes before the aircraft landed. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were already in the UK when the news emerged about the Queen's health began to filter through.. King Charles and Princess Anne were already with the Queen at Balmoral Castle in Aberdeenshire. Other royals including Princes Andrew, William and E dward flew into Aberdeen airport on a royal plane. But Harry, who is longer a working royal since moving to the US with Meghan, spoke to his dad who reportedly made it 'very clear' Meghan was not welcome at Balmoral. King Charles contacted his youngest son and said it was 'not appropriate' for her to be there, reports claim, which frustrated Harry. A row then ensued where Harry tried to persuade his father to allow Meghan to join him. After the dispute he missed the flight carrying his brother and uncles to Scotland and also a chance to say farewell to his grandmother. A private plane was sent to take Harry to join the rest of the Royal Family as soon as possible Reports initially suggested Harry found out about his grandmother's death via a phone call from his father. The Telegraph, however claims says the call never made it through. King Charles tried to reach Harry who knew he was trying to be contacted, but was unable to speak to him before the Queen died. It is claimed Harry heard of the late monarch's passing through a notification on his phone about breaking news. Palace sources, however, insisted the official announcement "was not made until all family members had been informed." A source quoted in the Daily Mail said: "The official announcement was delayed until after everybody had been told. https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...h-II-death.jpg Prince Harry boards a plane at Aberdeen International Airport |

Prince Harry and Meghan Ditch PR Firm That Helped Them Start a New Life in The US
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have ditched the PR firm Sunshine Sachs, which has been advising the Duchess of Sussex since her days as an actress on the legal drama Suits Daily Mirror UK 3 OCT 2022 https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...rds-London.jpg Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly ditched their PR firm. New York-based Sunshine Sachs has represented the Duchess of Sussex since her acting days. The firm helped Harry and Meghan start a new life in America after they stepped down as senior royals in 2020. Sunshine Sachs partner Keleigh Thomas Morgan apparently shared her key California contacts with the couple when they crossed the Atlantic. And Ms Morgan's pal American filmmaker Tyler Perry allowed Harry and Meghan to stay in his home when they first moved to LA. A source told the Daily Mail: "This is a really big deal for Meghan. She takes the view that she doesn't need to pay an outside firm a lot of money to do PR for her and Harry anymore." Ms Morgan, who is friends with Meghan, also helped orchestrate the couple's successful African royal tour in 2019. Christine Schirmer, head of communications at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's charity Archewell, will now handle publicity for the couple. It comes after sources said Harry and Meghan were desperate to edit their Netflix show and memoir following the Queen’s death. The couple have been working on a docuseries as part of a multi-million dollar Netflix deal. However, it's thought the bombshell series, that was rumoured to air sometime in November or December, could be pushed back to next year as Harry and Meghan want to make edits. Meanwhile, Harry’s explosive memoir, originally scheduled for release in November, has already been pushed back until next year. The couple have had a hand in the editing process of the series so far but, following the Queen's death earlier this month, want to scale back some of the comments made about the likes of King Charles, Queen Consort Camilla and William and Kate, the new Prince and Princess of Wales. “A lot of conversations are happening. I hear that Harry and Meghan want the series to be held until next year, they want to stall," one source told Page Six. “I wonder if the show could even be dead in the water at this point, do Harry and Meghan just want to shelve this thing?” https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...h-II-death.jpg Harry's memoir has been pushed back to next year following Her Majesty's death On Harry's memoir, an insider told The Sun on Sunday that the publishers, Penguin Random House, paid £18.4million up front for the book, but were "disappointed" by the first draft because it apparently focused on mental health issues more than they wanted. They added that the Duke of Sussex is "desperate" to get the book "refined" in the light of his grandmother's passing, but warned that it "might be too late". It was previously claimed by a royal expert that King Charles hoped the Queens' funeral would "convince Harry and Meghan to accept the olive branch" offered by the family. |

Meghan and Harry Eyeing Up Homes in Exclusive California Community' For Quieter Life
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved to the United States in 2020 and have spent two years at their current Montecito mansion, but are reportedly looking to relocate to Hope Ranch Daily Mirror UK 3 OCT 2022 https://i2-prod.dailyrecord.co.uk/in...om-The-Air.jpg Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reported to be on the lookout for a new home in a private California community. Hope Ranch is situated on California's Pacific coast The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are rumoured to be keen on a move to the Hope Ranch community because their $14 million mansion in nearby Montecito “does not properly accommodate them”. A journalist who recently visited the nine-bedroom property described it as "startlingly big". Hope Ranch homes can fetch as much as $22 million, according to a Santa Barbara News-Press report. The community contains a range of facilities including a country club, golf club and tennis court – as well as a strong equestrian community comprising 27 miles of riding trails. The Daily Mail cites a News-Press report that the couple may already have purchased a property there, although no buy has been confirmed. There has been no indication as to whether the couple are likely to seek a larger property than their current home or downsize. While Montecito is popular with Hollywood celebrities such as the Sussexes' friend Ellen DeGeneres, as well as the likes of Katy Perry and Jennifer Aniston, Hope Ranch's affluent private neighbourhood would offer quieter surroundings for the royals to raise children Archie and Lilibet. The potential move comes on the back of police action in Montecito designed to combat a rise in crime. An email from the Montecito Association to residents said license-plates recognition cameras were being installed “in response to the high-value property crime we've experienced recently,” according to reports in The Sun. “The crimes are being committed by sophisticated out-of-the-area theft gangs.” The Sussexes have been affected by the crime spree, with their home reportedly subject to two intruder scares in the space of 12 days earlier this year. Santa Barbara Police records logged cops visiting their mansion on May 19 at 5.44pm after reports of a trespasser. They then responded to a second intruder report on May 31 at 3.21pm – a matter of hours before Harry and Meghan returned from the UK after attending the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. The Sun reported Craig Bonner, undersheriff for Santa Barbara County, telling an online meeting that the area was having “some problems with professional burglars”. The unincorporated village of Hope Ranch had a population of about 2,200 at the time of the last census in the US. Harry and Meghan bought their existing property in June 2020, four months after stepping down from royal duties and deciding to relocate across the Atlantic. |

Netflix Has Unveiled The First Trailer For Harry & Meghan Documentary - Sussexes Threaten to Derail Royal Visit
Sussexes' Netflix Trailer Decoded -Seven Hidden Details in Harry and Meghans' Bombshell Netflix Trailer Including Unseen Snaps The trailer for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's bombshell Netflix documentary has dropped giving a first-look at what the explosive docuseries will include - and within the clip there are several hidden details BBC News 1 DEC 2022. https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...at-123447j.jpg https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...-Meghan-17.jpg The couple on what appears to be their first holiday together https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...-at-121900.jpg Harry sits with Meghan as he plays a guitar The first-look trailer is finally here for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's eagerly-anticipated Netflix docuseries - and it appears explosive. The minute-long teaser shows never before seen pictures of the couple, as well as a photo of the Princess of Wales, along with several clips of an emotional-looking Meghan appearing to wipe tears from her eyes. In it Harry says: "No-one sees what is happening behind closed doors" while Meghan adds: "When the stakes are this high, doesn't it make more sense to hear our story from us?" However, littered throughout the teaser clip are hidden details you may not have clocked on first viewing - and here we reveal some of the biggest buried details.... The trailer includes the first photo from inside Meghan and Harry's private wedding celebration back in 2018. While the religious part of the day was televised and became a public celebration, the lunch and evening events were behind closed doors with strict confidentiality rules for guests. Only their closest and most trusted friends were invited, with some of Harry's oldest pals being cut from the guestlist. The new unseen photo shows the newlyweds on the dance floor, holding hands as they party the night away. Guests around them seem to be enjoying the festivities, holding drinks as they show off their moves. There are huge floral displays and what appear to be fairy lights in the background. The large by-folding doors are wide open, suggesting the party carried on into the grounds of Frogmore House. For their first Christmas card photo as husband and wife, the couple shared a snap of them watching the fireworks display outside the party. Meanwhile a hidden detail within the wedding photo is the appearance of Harry's cousin Zara Tindall and her husband Mike, who recently appeared on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here. They can be seen behind Harry and Meghan on the dancefloor with Mike appearing to be busting a move to the music. Many of the snaps in the first part of the trailer chart Harry and Meghan during the early days of their romance. Several of the photos appear to show them on what appears to be a holiday - and it's known that they once enjoyed a getaway to Botswana. The couple travelled to Botswana in 2016 just months after going on their first romantic date in London. Using the trip as a chance to get to know one-another, Meghan and Harry spent five nights away from their luxury log cabins in the wilderness to camp "alone". According to new biography Finding Freedom, Harry was "delightfully surprised" by how down-to-earth Meghan was when it came to "roughing-it" for the week. The Duchess reportedly packed very little clothing and "cleaned her face with baby wipes and happily wandered into the woodlands if she needed a bathroom break". Harry and Meghan were said to have bonded over their love of nature during the trip, and the pair returned a year later after getting engaged to work with elephant conservation groups. Another snap shows the Sussexes relaxing as Harry holds a guitar while Meghan places her hand in his. It seems to suggest that Harry can play the instrument, although it has never been confirmed if this is the case. It has previously been hinted that he can indeed play the instrument although he once refused to sing on a record with Jon Bon Jovi saying he would rather leave it up to the professionals. Inside Their Home https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...ocumentary.jpg Another never-before-seen photo of Harry and Meghan https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...-at-121914.jpg Meghan holds a phone with one hand and puts her head in another in one shot Several of the black and white snaps appear to show Harry and Meghan relaxing in their homes. In one photo they share a lingering kiss in a kitchen, with Meghan sitting on the worktop and Harry leaning in to the embrace. Meanwhile another frame shows Meghan appearing emotional with her head in her hand as she clutches her mobile phone. A clip is then shown of a car seemingly following behind while hordes of photographers swarm around a vehicle. In August 1997, Diana was killed following a car crash in Paris with the vehicle she and her companion Dodi Al-Fayed had been travelling in tailed by paparazzi. It comes after earlier in the trailer when a photo of the royal family at Trooping the Colour in 2019 appears and Harry says: "There is a hierarchy in the family. You know, there's leaking but there is also planting of stories." It ends with Harry saying: "“No one knows the full truth. We know the full truth.” Meanwhile Netflix has also confirmed the first half of the six-part series will drop on Thursday (December 8) and the rest will come the Thursday after 15 December . It comes as the Royal Family have been warned to brace themselves for their worst nightmare as Harry and Meghan’s bombshell Netflix documentary series airs this week. One source in contact with a Netflix production insider said: “I genuinely think it’s going to be worse than the royals can imagine. Last Thursday the first official teaser for Harry & Meghan, the Sussexes’ behind-the-scenes Netflix docuseries, dropped. In one section of the footage, Meghan appears to be wiping away tears with both hands as they stream down her face, while Harry sits and tilts his head right back, seemingly in distress. The couple is heard by a voice in the background being asked: “Why did you want to make this documentary?” https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...2-12-05-22.jpg Harry says “No one sees what’s happening behind closed doors… I had to do everything I could to protect my family”, while Meghan says, “When the stakes were this high, doesn’t it make more sense to hear our story from us?” |

Princess Dianas' Brother Charles Spencer Breaks Silence After Harry & Meghans' Series
Harrys' uncle Charles Spencer returned to Instagram with a look back at the history in a post dubbed 'very apt' by fans BBC News 17 DEC 2022. https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...1284215811.jpg Charles Spencer has broken his silence after the final episodes of Harry & Meghan were released on Netflix. Princess Diana's younger brother Charles, 9th Earl Spencer, shared a picture of King Charles I - whose quarrels with Parliament provoked a civil war that led to his execution in 1649. The British peer and author has remained silent since his nephew Prince Harry's explosive claims about the royal family. But he has now taken to Instagram with a post that royal fans dubbed "very apt" in the light of recent revelations. He posted: “Portrait of Charles I, hanging in the Picture Gallery at @althorphouse - the king visited the house in the 1630s, as an honoured guest - at one banquet recorded as feasting on herons, pea****s, and even the humble potato (which was relatively new to England then)." "He was also allowed to visit Althorp [the Spencer estate] several times in 1647, when being held prisoner at his palace of Holdenby - after losing the first English Civil War. The king’s hobbies included Bible-reading, chess, and lawn bowls, and Althorp had an excellent bowling green. Charles was executed in London, in January 1649.” One royal fan replied: “Very apt portrait and king to reflect on today.” “I wish I was a fly on your wall. The history your family would have collected in time,” another added. A third wrote: "You may be silent on the Netflix drama but after this post about a previous King Charles, might one dare to say you are #TeamHarry - very sagacious to stay silent but let history speak for you.." After their mother's death, Prince Harry and Prince William revealed they could not understand why people were "breaking down" until they realised the impact she had on the world. The two brothers spoke of their heartbreak in the days after their mother's death in a documentary called BBC documentary called Diana, 7 Days, which was released in 2017 to mark the 20th anniversary of her death. Speaking on the programme, William said: "People wanted to grab us, to touch us. “They were shouting, wailing, literally wailing at us, throwing flowers, and yelling, sobbing, breaking down, people fainted, collapsed. It was a very alien environment. https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...n-Balmoral.jpg Princess Diana during her first official photo call with Prince Charles in 1981 after their engagement "I couldn’t understand why everyone wanted to cry as loud as they did and show such emotion as they did when they didn’t really know our mother. “I did feel a bit protective at times about that. "You didn’t even know her – why and how are you so upset? "Now looking back, I have learnt to understand what it was she gave the world and what she gave a lot of people." William and Harry were at Balmoral with their father, grandmother the Queen and grandfather Prince Philip when they were told the tragic news that Diana had died aged 36 following a car crash in Paris. Harry & Meghan: Netflix released latest trailer for volume II The family rallied around the princes before they returned to London and also inspected the floral tributes left to their mother outside Balmoral. Harry told the programme: "Looking back now probably the last thing I wanted to do was read what other people were saying about my mother. “Yes it was amazing, it was incredibly moving to know, but at that point, I wasn’t there. “I was still in shock." Meanwhile, Harry and Meghan's bombshell Netflix docuseries has shared further footage of Princess Diana's controversial interview with Martin Bashir - going against Prince William's wishes again. |

Ndileka Mandela praised the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for having the courage to break away from the Royal Family when she spoke to an Australian newspaper PLUS ..Harry Says William Knocked Him to Floor BBC News 5 JAN 2023 https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...ribal-Home.jpg Ndileka Mandela has spoken out Nelson Mandela's granddaughter has slammed Prince Harry and wife Meghan for using him to pull in audiences for their latest documentary. Ndileka Mandela praised the couple for having the courage to break away from the Royal family, but she added that she found the use of her grandfather's name "deeply upsetting and tedious". Speaking from Johannesburg about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex second Netflix documentary Live To Lead, she was critical of their use of the former South African president. Ndileka said: “Harry needs to be authentic and stick to his own story, what relevance does grandad’s life have with his? I don’t believe he nor Meghan have ever properly met granddad, maybe when Harry was young at Buckingham Palace, but they are using his quotations in the documentary to draw in people and make millions without the Mandela family benefiting. Prince Harry's book means he and William will never reconcile, royal experts say “I know the Nelson Mandela Foundation has supported the initiative but people have stolen grandfather’s quotes for years and have used his legacy because they know his name sells – Harry and Meghan are no different from them. “I admire Harry for having the confidence to break away from an institution as iconic as the Royal family. Grandad rebelled against an arranged marriage to find his own path in life. "But it comes at a price, you have to then fund your own life, I’ve made peace with people using granddad’s name but it’s still deeply upsetting and tedious every time it happens,” she told the Australian. https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...-Nelson-Ma.jpg Nelson Mandela meeting the Queen in 2008 Live to Lead showcases seven “leaders” - picked by the pair - including Mr Mandela, the late US Supreme Court judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and environmentalist Greta Thunberg, who turned 20 on Tuesday. Prince Harry Breaks Silence Over Sadistic Rumour That James Hewitt is His REAL Dad
Prince Harry has for the first time publicly addressed the rumours that Major James Hewitt is his real father following a five-year affair with his mum Princess Diana King Charles made ‘sadistic’ jokes about Prince Harry’s ‘real’ dad BBC News 6 JAN 2023 https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...n-Premiere.jpg https://qph.fs.quoracdn.net/main-qim...576eecd7bb8970 Major James Hewitt Diana had a five-year affair with Major James Hewitt in the 80s Prince Harry has broken his silence on longstanding rumours about his parenthood in a bombshell new book. The Duke of Sussex's mum Princess Diana confirmed before her death that she'd had a five-year affair with Major James Hewitt during the 1980s. And there has always been some hearsay that she had a child with him. Writing in his memoir Spare - which is released next week - Harry makes reference to the rumours and how the now-King Charles had often made light of guessing who his real father was. The Duke writes: "The joke was damn funny in light of the rumour going around at the time that my real father was one of my mother's ex-lovers: Major James Hewitt. https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...Collection.jpg Princess Diana with sons William and Harry "One cause of the rumour was Major Hewitt's red hair, but another was sadism. "Tabloid readers loved the idea that Prince Charles's youngest son was not Prince Charles's son. They never got tired of that 'joke', for some reason." Harry goes on to ponder whether it was to help paint him as a "laughing stock". He says it didn't seem to matter that Diana hadn't even met Major Hewitt "until long after I was born". Harry also claims some journalists went so far as to begin "hunting my DNA to verify it" and his initial response was that after "torturing" his mum into hiding "soon they would come for me". He writes that over the years, rehashed versions of the story seem to be published "with some seriousness" and any accounts of Charles having to reassure him Major Hewitt was not his dad are "invented". https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...0-Sep-2022.jpg Harry says he and William had a physical fight over Meghan |

Jeremy Clarkson Says He Apologised to Harry and Meghan For Sun Column
In the column, he wrote about a naked Meghan being pelted with excrement. Jeremy Clarkson has said he has apologised to Harry and Meghan over his column in The Sun newspaper in which he said he "hated" the Duchess of Sussex. BBC 17 JAN 2023 https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/976/cp...-814004484.jpg Clarkson's daughter Emily criticised her father over the column In a statement on Monday, he said he emailed the couple on Christmas Day to say his language had been "disgraceful" and he was "profoundly sorry". A spokesperson for Harry and Meghan said the article was not an isolated incident for Clarkson. Clarkson had released a statement before Christmas saying he "was horrified to have caused so much hurt". The Sun newspaper has also apologised for the December article and removed it from its website. In the column, Clarkson wrote that he lay in bed "dreaming of the day when she [Meghan] is made to parade naked through the streets of every town in Britain while the crowds chant 'Shame!' and throw lumps of excrement at her". He also claimed "everyone who's my age thinks the same way", and that her appeal to young people who "think she was a prisoner of Buckingham Palace" made him "despair". A record 25,000 complaints have been made to press regulator Ipso since the piece was published. In his lengthy Instagram post on Monday, the presenter of Amazon Prime's The Grand Tour and Clarkson's Farm and ITV's Who Wants to be a Millionaire?, said he usually reads what he's written before filing his copy, but he was home alone that day and in a hurry. "So when I'd finished, I just pressed send. And then, when the column appeared the next day, the land mine exploded." He said he picked up a copy of The Sun and quickly realised he had "completely messed up". "You are sweaty and cold at the same time. And your head pounds. And you feel sick. I couldn't believe what I was reading. Had I really said that? It was horrible." He said he had been thinking of a scene in Games of Thrones when he wrote about imagining the duchess being abused in the street, but had forgotten to mention it. "So it looked like I was actually calling for revolting violence to rain down on Meghan's head." In a statement, a spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said Clarkson addressed his correspondence solely to Prince Harry. "While a new public apology has been issued today by Mr Clarkson, what remains to be addressed is his long-standing pattern of writing articles that spread hate rhetoric, dangerous conspiracy theories and misogyny," the spokesperson said. "Unless each of his other pieces were also written 'in a hurry', as he states, it is clear that this is not an isolated incident shared in haste, but rather a series of articles shared in hate," they added. In a recent interview with ITV, Prince Harry criticised Clarkson as well as the Royal Family for not commenting on the matter at the time. In his statement, Clarkson added that he had "tried to explain" himself. "But still, there were calls for me to be sacked and charged with a hate crime. More than 60 MPs demanded action to be taken. ITV, who make Who Wants to be a Millionaire, and Amazon, who make the Farm Show and the Grand Tour, were incandescent." It was then that he "wrote to everyone who works with me saying how sorry I was" as well as emailing the duke and duchess. "On Christmas morning, I emailed Harry and Meghan in California to apologise to them too. I said I was baffled by what they had been saying on TV but that the language I'd used in my column was disgraceful and that I was profoundly sorry." He also acknowledged that his own daughter Emily had been among his critics. Variety is reporting that Amazon Prime "is likely to be parting ways" with Clarkson after 2024, when his shows that are already in the pipeline are due to end. Amazon declined to comment. Last month, ITV's media and entertainment boss Kevin Lygo described Clarkson's column as "awful" but said there were no plans "at the moment" to replace him as host of game show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? ITV is believed to have one more series due to be filmed with Clarkson but no further current commissioning commitments beyond that. |

Oprah Winfrey Snubs Harry and Meghan as Expert Claims The Tide Has Turned
Oprah Winfrey attended Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding and was the interviewer the couple gave their first TV tell-all to in 2021, but the couple were nowhere to be seen at the star's recent birthday party BBC 2 FEB 2023 https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...ah-Winfrey.jpg https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...me-Special.jpg https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...ous-dinner.jpg Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's notable absence at Oprah Winfrey 's recent birthday party shows "the tide is turning" with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, a royal expert claims. Oprah celebrated her 69th birthday over the weekend, with stars like Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez and Sharon Stone all on hand to help the legendary interviewer mark the occasion in style. But Harry and Meghan were nowhere to be seen at the star-studded party - something that has surprised many people due to the fact Oprah was the journalist they chose to sit down with for their explosive TV interview in 2021. It's not known if the couple had prior engagements and were simply unable to make their friend's party, or if Oprah - who attended Harry and Meghan's 2019 wedding - snubbed the pair and left them off the guestlist. While no-one knows for certain why the Duke and Duchess didn't attend their pal's birthday party, one expert has suggested their conspicuous absence could signify something bigger. Kara Kennedy claims Harry and Meghan's "loud mouths" are being used against them following the couple's decision to tell their story via Netflix documentaries and tell-all memoirs. "On a more serious note, snubs like this show that the tide is turning with the Sussexes — and that the gamble that saw them trade in the lifelong duty of being working royalty for the money and fame of being celebrities hasn’t paid off," Kennedy writes in The Spectator. "It’s easy to see why Oprah wouldn’t want the pair at her birthday shindig after Harry’s latest revelations," she went on to claim. During their televised interview with Oprah in March 2021, Harry and Meghan claimed a member of Harry’s family had expressed "concerns" over what colour their son Archie’s skin would be while the former Suits actress was pregnant. The revelation caused many to speculate if the Royal Family is a racist institution, but Harry slammed those claims earlier this year. Speaking with Tom Bradby ahead of the release of his bombshell memoir, the dad-of-two was told: "In the Oprah interview you accused members of your family of racism," before Harry cut in to insist: "No I didn’t. The British press said that." Tom looked briefly nonplussed before Harry added: "Did Meghan ever mention that they’re racist?" The ITV journalist replied: "She said there were troubling comments about Archie’s skin colour." Harry then said there was 'concern' about his skin colour, to which Tom asked if that would not be described as 'essentially racist'. The former working royal replied: "I wouldn’t, not having lived within that family." Kennedy continued to reference the contrasting interviews in her Spector column, claiming: "The interview [with Oprah] was not an attempt to speak truth, nor was it an attempt at reconciliation. "This was Harry and Meghan’s campaign to finish off the British monarchy — and they used Oprah as a pawn." |

Frogmore Cottage: Harry and Meghan Rquested to Vacate Property
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been asked to vacate their British base of Frogmore Cottage, the couple's spokesperson has confirmed. BBC 2 MAR 2023 https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/976/cp...1311779964.jpg It was earlier reported that the home, in the grounds of Windsor Castle, had been offered to the Duke of York. https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/976/cp...12000x1125.jpg Britain's Prince Harry and Meghan, Duke and Duchess of Sussex in New York in September A spokesperson for Prince Harry and Meghan confirmed the news. Buckingham Palace has not commented. The duke and duchess now live in California with their two children, Archie and Lilibet. They quit life as working royals in 2020 and left the UK shortly afterwards. Frogmore Cottage, a Grade-II listed 10-bedroom property in the grounds of Windsor Castle in Berkshire, was a gift to the royal couple from the late Queen. Prince Harry and Meghan refurbished the property, owned by the Crown Estate, at an estimated cost of £2.4m in 2018-19. The cost was initially covered by taxpayers through the Sovereign Grant before being repaid in full by the duke. They were reportedly told to leave the property by Buckingham Palace in January, days after Harry published his explosive memoir, Spare. The book - which was released in January and became the fastest-selling non-fiction book in the UK since records began in 1998 - included claims Prince Harry was physically attacked by his brother, the Prince of Wales. He also wrote that he and his brother, the Prince of Wales, had begged their father not to marry Camilla, now Queen Consort. Prince Andrew, the late Queen's second son, lives in the nearby 31-bedroom Royal Lodge, in Windsor Great Park, Berkshire. He stepped down as a working royal in 2019 after a controversial Newsnight interview about allegations that he had sexually assaulted Virginia Giuffre. He has repeatedly denied the allegations. In February 2022, he paid an undisclosed sum to settle the civil sexual assault case Ms Giuffre brought against him in the US. Reports in recent weeks, not confirmed by the BBC, suggested the King is to cut Andrew's annual grant which could leave him unable to afford his home's running costs. The cottage has a rich and varied history. Queen Charlotte, wife of King George III, had it built in 1792 as a place for her and her daughters to escape the court. At the time it was fashionable for the wealthy to build large homes disguised as idyllic rural cottages. Surviving relatives of Tsar Nicholas II also lived there after fleeing to the UK, following the murder of other family members by Bolsheviks in 1918. Since World War Two, the cottage is believed to have been used as a home for members of royal household staff, before Prince Harry and Meghan moved in. |

Harry Sues Sun and Mirror's Owners in Phone-Hacking Claim
The Duke of Sussex has begun legal action against the owners of the Sun, the defunct News of the World, and the Daily Mirror, in relation to alleged phone-hacking. BBC 1 MAR 2023 https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/976/cp...1178584110.jpg Documents have been filed on behalf of Prince Harry over the alleged illegal interception of voicemail messages, Buckingham Palace has confirmed. A spokeswoman for News Group Newspapers (NGN) - the publishers of the Sun and the News of The World - said: "We confirm that a claim has been issued by the Duke of Sussex." The details of the duke's new legal action were first reported by the website Byline. The BBC understands the duke's allegations against NGN predate 2010, but it is not yet clear when his claims against the Mirror date from. A source at Reach, which owns the Mirror, told the Press Association it was aware proceedings had been issued but had not yet received them, so was unable to comment further. Jonny Dymond, the BBC's royal correspondent, says the presumption is the legal action goes back to the phone-hacking scandal of the early 2000s. The case will begin in May |

Inside Prince Harry and Meghans' Private Island Plans After Being Ousted From Frogmore Cottage
Harry and Meghan Markle are said to be talking about buying another home, after a tumultuous few months for the pair, with Harry thought to be keen on a private island. BBC 10 MAR 2023 https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...land-Day-1.jpg Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly considering snapping up a private island, after King Charles asked them to leave Frogmore Cottage. The pair are said to be looking for a home in another country, while keeping their base in LA, with Harry keen on a private island. It comes after Harry and Meghan's popularity slumped in the US, amid the release of explosive memoir Spare, as well as a South Park episode ridiculing them. Last week it was confirmed that the monarch has asked the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to vacate their British home, Frogmore Cottage, and remove their belongings from the property. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly considering snapping up a private island, after King Charles asked them to leave Frogmore Cottage. Harry and Meghan are said to be considering purchasing another property The Sussexes, who now live in a Californian mansion with their two children, Archie and Lilibet, resided at Frogmore Cottage, in the grounds of Windsor Castle, before they stepped down as senior royals and left the UK. Now, it's reported the pair are looking to get away from it all. A source told Heat: "The situation is rapidly becoming uncomfortable to the point of untenable. "There are talks of keeping base in LA and heading somewhere new like Canada, South Africa or one of the other countries where they have more popularity and public sympathy. https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...1-Mar-2023.jpg The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been asked to leave Frogmore Cottage "There's money to be made abroad and it fits their vision of global success." "Harry loved the idea of living in a natural and eco-friendly environment- he's pushing hard to go down the private island route." The source added that the distraction of a possible new property is welcome and the couple is viewing it as a chance to reap the benefits of their success, rather than escaping from their troubles. Last month, a US poll showed the pair are now rated lower than disgraced royal Prince Andrew. According to a poll conducted by Redfield & Wilton for Newsweek on February 19, Harry was disliked by 42% of Americans, compared to 32% who said they liked him — with a 'net approval rating of -10. The same poll saw Harry at 38 points in a December 5 poll showing a staggering 48 point drop . Former suits star Meghan was liked by 27 percent of Americans and disliked by 44 percent giving her a net rating -17 in February 19 figures on the same poll. https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...n-jpegjpeg.jpg The Sussexes were ridiculed in an episode of South Park In stark comparison Harry's uncle, Prince Andrew, sits at net approval rating sits at -2 following his New York civil trial against Virginia Robert, which lawyers settled out of court. It is believed to be the first time Harry has been back in the UK since the late Queen's funeral in September. His surprise return comes nearly three months after he laid bare his troubled relationship with his father King Charles and brother Prince William in his controversial autobiography Spare. The hearing today was due to coincide with Charles and Queen Camilla's state visit to France, which was due to start yesterday but was shelved due to unrest in the country. But according to the Telegraph, Harry is not expected to meet up with his father while in the UK - even though the King was informed of his visit - as he is "busy". |

Meghan Markle has had her half-sister Samantha Markle's lawsuit dismissed, after the latter sued the Duchess of Sussex for humiliation and defamation BBC 1 APR 2023 https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...on-to-quit.jpg Meghan Markle has successfully had her half-sister’s lawsuit dismissed. However, the judge gave her sibling, Samantha Markle, the opportunity to partially refile her claim. The Duchess of Sussex, 41, was accused by Samantha of spreading "demonstrably false and malicious lies" to a "worldwide audience" in the royal's tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021. A Florida judge has now thrown out the lawsuit, saying the former Suits actress was expressing "an opinion about her childhood and her relationship with her half-sibling" and a statement of pure opinion was "not capable of being proved false". In court papers, US District Judge Charlene Honeywell wrote: "As a reasonable listener would understand it, defendant merely expresses an opinion about her childhood and her relationship with her half-siblings. "Thus, the court finds that defendant's statement is not objectively verifiable or subject to empirical proof.... plaintiff cannot plausibly disprove defendant's opinion of her own childhood." Judge Honeywell yesterday wrote “the court grants the motion to dismiss” in favour of the Duchess of Sussex. |

In a dramatic series, the ex-head of the Army says he kept his private audiences with the Queen, 96, secret. But he adds: “I will break the rule about not divulging what goes on on this one occasion, when she was very clear. She said, ‘My grandsons have taken my shilling, therefore they must do their duty’ – and that was that. “But it was decided that for William, as heir to the heir, the risk is too great. “But for his younger brother, the risk was acceptable.” Ex-Army captain Harry, 38, served two Afghanistan tours from 2007 to 2008, and 2012 to 2013, the latter as an Apache pilot. The ITV series, out later this month, also claims Princess Margaret refused to stop listening to the Archers as the late Queen visited her on her deathbed in 2002. It also says Prince Andrew, 63, was embarrassed the royals long before his friendship with paedophile Jeffrey Epstein came to light. The five-part series reveals the personal challenges facing the Queen throughout her reign. Some of the key figures interviewed have never previously spoken on camera. Princess Margaret’s former lady-in-waiting says when the Queen’s sister was dying after a fourth stroke she refused to stop listening to Radio 4’s the Archers when the late monarch arrived. Lady Anne Glenconner recalls: “I could hear the Queen going upstairs. “About two minutes later, I heard footsteps coming down the stairs. “So I said ‘Ma’am, is there anything wrong?’ And she said, ‘Yes. Margaret’s listening to the Archers and every time I say something she just says, ‘Shush’. “So I went up and said to Princess Margaret, ‘the Queen’s only got a short time’, turning off her wireless, and I brought them tea and left them.” Archbishop George Carey was one of the last people to see Margaret, 71, alive. He hints she never got over being banned, by the Queen as head of the Church of England, from marrying her first love Peter Towns-end as he was divorced. The cleric says: “I heard she was dying, so I talked to her quietly, said a prayer, anointed her with the oil and she died soon after. A moving occasion. “But she was sad. Here is a woman who longed for love and the love of her life was forbidden for her. * The Real Crown: Inside the House of Windsor, is on ITVX from April 20 |

Prince Harry and Meghanaissance Blindside Royals AGAIN
Prince Harry Court Claims Leave Coronation Peace Hopes in Tatters Make No Mistake, There’s a Meghanaissance Coming BBC News 26 APR 2023 https://img-s-msn-com.akamaized.net/...=768&h=480&m=6 https://img-s-msn-com.akamaized.net/...90&s=651&d=107 The Duke of Sussex appears to have scuppered any hope of a reconciliation with his brother after claiming the Prince of Wales received a secret “huge sum”(around £1 million), from Rupert Murdoch’s company over phone hacking. Prince William was said to be unaware of the contents of his brother's statement until it was made public, and sources are claiming there is now little chance of rapprochement before the pair are reunited for the King's Coronation. Prince Harry also alleged in his witness statement that Queen Elizabeth II was personally involved in the secret agreement between the Royal household and News Group Newspapers. https://cdn.images.express.co.uk/img...=1682509510492 Meanwhile, there are also questions on the timing of Meghan Markle's latest appearances With less than two weeks to go before the ceremony at Westminster Abbey, the Duchess of Sussex has rebounded onto the scene. On Monday, she released a fresh-faced video message introducing her photographer friend Misan Harriman ahead of his Ted Talk speech. Then later that night, Meghan and Prince Harry were spotted rubbing shoulders with fellow celebrities at a basketball match in Los Angeles. |

Piers Morgan Encouraged Illegal Targeting of Diana, Says Prince Harry
Court papers allege that Morgan, when he was NoW editor, and others knew about and concealed hacking of texts and phone calls Hugh Grant Claims The Sun Burgled His Flat to Obtain Private Information Actor also tells high court the paper tapped landline telephones and hacked his voicemails to get stories about his personal life BBC News 28 APR 2023 https://tse4.mm.bing.net/th?id=OIP.a...E7&pid=Api&P=0 Hugh Grant https://tse2.mm.bing.net/th?id=OIP.g...E7&pid=Api&P=0 Piers Morgan, who hosts a nightly show on Murdoch’s TalkTV channel, has always denied any knowledge of phone hacking during his time as a tabloid editor. Court papers allege that Morgan, when he was NoW editor, and others knew about and concealed hacking of texts and phone calls Prince Harry has claimed Piers Morgan “knew about, encouraged and concealed” illegal targeting of Diana, Princess of Wales when he was editor of the News of the World. Harry alleges that his mother’s private text messages and phone calls were obtained by journalists working for Rupert Murdoch’s tabloid newspapers before she died, with the information used as the basis for multiple stories in the Sun and the News of the World. Harry alleged in court documents that this illegal targeting of Diana – as well as Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles – was known about and hidden by Morgan and other editors in the mid-1990s. Morgan, who now hosts a nightly show on Murdoch’s TalkTV channel, has always denied any direct knowledge of phone hacking during his time as a tabloid newspaper editor. The television presenter has had repeated run-ins with Harry. In 2021, Morgan quit ITV’s Good Morning Britain after making comments about the prince’s wife, Meghan. Harry lists a number of articles that were published during Morgan’s time as News of the World editor between January 1994 and August 1995. The prince alleges that all were the result of illegal information-gathering. They include: “Di’s cranky phone calls to married Oliver; She called 3 times in 9 minutes and hung up as she heard Oliver’s voice”, about Diana’s alleged relationship with the art dealer Oliver Hoare. “Di’s roam alone”, about Diana flying to the US on holiday and leaving behind princes William and Harry with other members of the royal family. “Di and Fergie bury the hatchet”, about a private meeting between Diana and the Duchess of York. “It’s Diana or me; Di: Will’s my dear friend – not my lover; Carling sneaked into palace when boys went out”, about Diana’s alleged relationship with the England rugby player Will Carling. “Di’s VJ Day fury over Tiggy”, about a supposed dispute between Diana and the royal nanny Tiggy Legge-Bourke. Several of these stories were written by Clive Goodman, the newspaper’s royal correspondent, who would later be sent to prison for hacking Prince William’s voicemails. One of the stories that is allegedly based on illegally gathered information was written by the News of the World reporter Gary Jones, who is now the editor of the Daily Express. Harry made the allegations in proposed amendments to his phone-hacking claim against Murdoch’s company News Group Newspapers (NGN), which is being heard at the high court. He also alleges that journalists working for NGN obtained messages from Diana’s secret personal pager – a device used to receive text messages before the widespread use of mobile phones. Harry states that a 21-page log of text messages sent to this device in late 1994 by Oliver Hoare were later found in a safe in the office of Tom Crone, a top lawyer at Murdoch’s company. The messages were said to include Hoare asking Diana whether her children were staying with their grandparents and questioning whether William and Harry were excited to meet members of Take That. Harry also claims that journalists working for Murdoch’s newspapers intercepted personal phone calls and messages sent by his father, now King Charles, and his stepmother, Camilla. Morgan has also been linked to other phone-hacking allegations relating to his time as editor of the Mirror between 1995 and 2004. Last year, lawyers suing the Mirror’s parent company alleged that Morgan “must have had knowledge of voicemail interception” during the time he was running the tabloid. Harry has a separate legal case against the publisher of the Mirror, which is due to go to trial next month at the high court. The television presenter Jeremy Paxman, speaking under oath at the Leveson inquiry, said Morgan once invited him for lunch and explained how a mobile phone’s voicemails could be hacked. Morgan has previously told the Guardian: “I’ve never hacked a phone nor told anybody to hack a phone.” Amendments to Harry’s legal claim also allege that the former News of the World editors Phil Hall and Bob Bird, and the former Sun editors Stuart Higgins and David Yelland, must also have known about the illegal targeting of Diana during the mid-1990s. Harry has made clear that he blames the tabloid media for the death of his mother while being chased by paparazzi through Paris. On Tuesday, the high court heard his claim that press intrusion by the Sun and other newspapers led to her choosing to travel without a police escort in order to avoid leaks, ultimately leading to her death in 1997. ---Prince Harry does not blame queen for alleged deal with Murdoch press, court hears Harry suggests that Murdoch’s newspapers concealed their illegal activity, publicly criticising Diana’s “paranoid delusions” about being illegally targeted when in reality “she was under close surveillance and her calls were being unlawfully intercepted” by individuals working for the Sun and News of the World. Harry also suggests Diana was punished by the newspapers for giving an interview to the BBC’s Panorama in 1995, rather than providing private information to the Sun or News of the World. Harry previously told the court that he was personally the victim of widespread phone hacking and illegal activity by the Sun and News of the World, while claiming there was a secret deal between the royal household to keep such deals out of court. Murdoch’s company has always denied any illegal behaviour took place at the Sun and is trying to block Harry’s legal claim on the basis he waited too long to file his legal paperwork. |

Her makeup was flawless. https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...ress-Power.jpg Organisers celebrated Meghan for her 'lifelong advocacy for women and girls' and she received the award from friend Gloria Steinem. https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...ress-Power.jpg Meanwhile, another guest remarked how Prince Harry 38, "looked unbelievably proud" of his wife. The 41-year-old mother-of-two took to the stage to Alicia Keys' hit song Girl on Fire before giving Gloria, 89, a warm hug before reminiscing during her speech. Guest Paul Didonato told The Sun: "Meghan was very gracious and beyond articulate. She was quite wonderful. "She did become emotional. Seeing her on stage with Gloria Steinem felt like it was a cross generational moment." The magazines said 'Ms.' on them. "And I remember them vividly because the pictures were different. There was a diversity that I hadn't seen as often, both with colour and age, and the names were different. "There were congresswomen, there were astronauts, and the topics were different. From mothering, to being a working mum, to have your topics such as domestic violence and the poverty line." She had previously told the same story on her Archetypes podcast. re: Police Statement After Meghan & Prince Harrys' Near Catastrophic Car Chase
Prince Harry and Meghan in Near Catastrophic Car Chase
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been involved in a "near catastrophic car chase" involving paparazzi photographers, their spokesperson has said. BBC 17 MAY 2023 https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/976/cp...rinceharry.jpg https://tse2.mm.bing.net/th?id=OIF.Y...=Api&P=0&h=180 "This relentless pursuit, lasting over two hours, resulted in multiple near collisions involving other drivers on the road, pedestrians and two NYPD officers," the representative said. The couple had earlier attended an award ceremony in New York on Tuesday evening, where Meghan accepted a prize celebrating feminist champions. The Duke and Duchess, who were also with Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, were forced to seek refuge in multiple police stations as they tried to lose the photographers. It is understood the trio were staying at a friend’s house, but felt unable to return there after the ceremony as they were being followed. Harry has long had a difficult relationship with the media. He blames press intrusion for causing the death of his mother in a car crash in a tunnel in Paris in 1997 while she was being pursued by paparazzi. In a US television interview earlier this year he recalled seeing the final photos of her and realizing that the last thing she saw before she died was photographers taking her picture. Meanwhile, an alleged stalker was arrested outside the couple's Montecito mansion in the early hours of Monday morning, according to TMZ. Kevin Garcia Valdovinos, 29, was arrested when the couple’s security team spotted the man near their home at around 2am on Monday. It is unclear whether the Duke and Duchess and their two children, Prince Archie, four, and Princess Lilibet, one, were at home at the time of the incident. |
