New ‘Tiger King’ Episode Coming to Netflix, Says Jeff Lowe
The “Tiger King” phenomenon is not over yet.

Netflix is releasing an extra episode of the hit docu-series next week, according to zoo owner Jeff Lowe from the show. He revealed the details about a new episode in a Cameo video posted on Twitter by Justin Turner of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
“Netflix is adding one more episode. It will be on next week. They’re filming here tomorrow,” Lowe said in the video.
It’s unclear whether the new episode will be a follow-up to the show’s seven-episode run or more of a reunion.
“Tiger King,” which premiered on Netflix on March 20, has been many people’s latest TV obsession, especially while everyone is stuck inside during the coronavirus quarantine. The series follows the bizarre exploits of private zoo owner Joe Exotic, who runs a zoo full of hundreds of tigers and other rare animals.
At the end of the series, he ends up in jail serving a 22-year sentence for animal abuse and plotting to carry out a murder-for-hire plot against his fellow big cat owner rival, Carole Baskin.

Many celebrities have also come out as die-hard “Tiger King” fans. Cardi B floated the idea of starting a GoFundMe to help release Joe Exotic, and actors like Dax Shepard have thrown their names out on Twitter to play the character if the story were adapted to a movie.

Netflix viewers have been captivated by the story of Joe Exotic and his unbelievable crimes show in the documentary series Tiger King, but his secret son wasn't mentioned at all

Hit Netflix series Tiger King appears to have glossed over a major aspect of Joe Exotic's life - he has a son.
The documentary series has won fans the world over for its gripping examination of the feud between exotic animal keeper Joe Exotic and animal rights activist Carole Baskin.
Despite deep-diving into the chaotic love life of Mr Exotic - full name Joseph Allen Maldonado-Passage - something that didn't receive focus was Joe's family history.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Exotic's niece Chealsi Putman discussed a number of details about her infamous uncle's past - including that he has an adult son.
In the early 1980s, Joe lived with his girlfriend Kim in Eastvale, Texas, where he worked as a police chief.
The pair had a son, Brandon Chappell, who is now 38 and has three children of his own.
Putman said: "Joe was in and out of Brandon’s life when he was growing up, at one point just a few years ago Brandon and his then wife, both worked at the zoo with Joe."
Exotic's niece says that he was very open about Brandon being his son.
"Joe would go around telling everyone this was his son, he made no secret about it," she said.
In addition to revealing that Brandon is visible in some scenes of Tiger King, Chealsi also claims to know why Joe Exotic's relationship with his son fell apart.
The pair are said to have fallen out after Joe tried to push Brandon's wife to commit fraudulent activities by doctoring the zoo's books and checking accounts.
A clash over this ultimately saw Brandon leave Exotic and the zoo with his wife and children.
Chealsi Putman is not supportive over calls for her uncle to be pardoned, either, and has slammed celebrities who are calling for his freedom.
She said: "If it would up to me, I would have sentenced him to life behind bars, he wouldn't have ever seen the light of day."
Exotic is currently serving a 22-year prison sentence, but reports suggest a pardon is under consideration from President Donald Trump.

His incredible life story has *already been made into a hit Netflix TV series.
Now there could be a sequel after US *President Donald Trump said he could pardon jailed Tiger King star Joe Exotic.
The seven-part documentary Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness has drawn in more than 35 million viewers since its March 20 release – and become Netflix number one show in the UK.
It charts the crazy life of Joe, real name Joseph Maldonado-Passage, who kept 176 tigers, as well as lions, bears and *alligators at his Oklahoma home, which was also the US’s largest private zoo.
Joe would post videos on YouTube of him playing, swimming and wrestling with the dangerous animals.
He was also a proud polygamist with five husbands along the way, a country music singer with songs such as Here Kitty Kitty and a candidate for US *president in 2016, with the slogan: “I’ve had two boyfriends for most of my life. I’ve had some kinky sex. I’ve tried drugs. I’m broke as sh*t.”
The Netflix show is a true crime series after he attempted to add one more accomplishment to his CV – murder.
In January, Exotic was sentenced to 22 years in prison for twice trying to hire a hitman to kill Carole Baskin, who owned the rival Big Cat Rescue sanctuary, in Florida, as well as animal cruelty and breaking conservation laws.
Ms Baskin, who bedecks herself in animal print clothing, had publicly *criticised Exotic’s zoo and taken a dispute about a trademark infringement to court, where he was ordered to pay nearly $1million.
In the first assassination attempt, Exotic gave a man $3,000 to travel from Oklahoma to Florida, with a promise to pay more money after she was dead, prosecutors said at his trial last year.
He then tried to hire another hitman, who was an undercover FBI agent.
The trial also revealed a much darker side to Exotic’s big cat sanctuary which included claims he abused staff and hooked some on drugs. All said they had witnessed animal cruelty on an astonishing scale.
Despite all this – and admitting he had never seen the Netflix show – Donald Trump has said he would look into 57-year-old Exotic’s case, after his son Donald Trump Jr brought up the issue.
“I’ll take a look,” Trump said. On Monday the president’s eldest son called Exotic’s 22-year prison sentence “aggressive” after watching the documentary series.
“I don’t even know exactly what he was charged with... I watched the show, but it was like, I don’t know exactly what he was guilty of or wasn’t,” Trump Jr. said.
“It doesn’t seem like he was totally innocent of anything. But when they’re saying, ‘We’re putting this guy away for years,’ I’m saying that seems sort of aggressive.”
When a reporter brought up his son’s comments, Trump said: “Which son? It must be Don. I had a feeling it was Don.
“I know nothing about it… he has 22 for what? What did he do?”
After the reporter explained what the big cat owner was in for, Trump asked: “Do you think he didn’t do it? Are you on his side? Are you recommending a pardon?”
The US president then asked other journalists in the briefing, asking, “Would you recommend a pardon?”
Trump has a history of pardoning controversial characters, including his close friend, disgraced media mogul Conrad Black, who was jailed for six years for defrauding investors.
If that does happen, it would be the next incredible chapter in the life of the man born Joe Schreibvogel, who was raised on a farm in rural Kansas with his two brothers and two sisters.

Exotic has since said that his mum and dad, a Korean War vet, never told him that they loved him, and that he was repeatedly raped by an older boy in his own home when he was five.
Instead he chose to give his love to animals, raising show pigeons and taking in squirrels and raccoons. He would shoot sparrows with his BB gun, then bring the injured birds back so he could nurse them back to health.
He dreamed of becoming a vet, but after high school became a police officer in a nearby country town.
Aged 19, he was beginning to come to terms with his sexuality, but before he could tell his parents one of his siblings outed him to his father, who made young Joe shake his hand and promise not to attend his funeral.

Soon after, he was approaching a bridge in his police car when he veered into the concrete barrier, nearly *plummeting over the edge.
He was severely injured and moved with his older brother Garold, to West Palm Beach, Florida to undergo therapy.
There, he married his first husband, Brian Rhyne, in an unofficial ceremony in 1986 and together with Garold bought a pet shop, selling reptiles, birds and fish, and later more exotic animals such as armadillos and opossums.
But disaster struck in 1996 when Garold died after being hit by a drunk driver.
He sold the pet shop and with the help of $130,000 he had won in a lawsuit over Garold’s death, bought 16 acres of land an hour’s drive from Oklahoma City.
He opened the animal sanctuary and it wasn’t long before people started dropping off exotic animals they no longer wanted, including a bear, a mountain lion, and his first tigers, Tess and Tickles.

Within a year he was remarried to 24-year-old JC Hartpence, but fell in love with a 19-year-old he hired, John Finlay, and continued a relationship with both men.
When, in 2003, he wanted to break up with JC, he left a photo of his largest tiger, Goliath, baring his teeth over a slab of meat along with the words “JC’s remains”.
Attached was the Post-it note: “If you don’t get your s**t together, this is gonna be your reality’.
He was building a name for himself as a “gay, gun-toting cowboy with a mullet”, and gaining fans who saw him as an eccentric animal rescuer.

As his zoo grew to hold more than 1,000 animals, with annual donations of more than $500,000, his Joe Exotic TV channel was getting hundreds of thousands of hits online.
He sold branded skin-care products, alcohol and condoms, and opened a bar and pizza joint close to the zoo.
It was at the height of his success that animal rights activist Carole Baskin, owner of the Big Cat Rescue sanctuary in Tampa, Florida, began to criticise Joe’s conservation credentials.
She accused him of mistreating his animals and overbreeding and even inbreeding tigers for financial gain.
When she found out he was taking animals on tours of shopping malls, she mobilised her supporters to write to malls he was booked at.

Joe’s frequent online tirades against Carole became more sinister before finally in February 2014, he brought out a blow-up doll with a blonde wig before shooting it in the head.
Still married to John, he fell in love with Travis Maldonado, a meth addict. Exotic, John and Travis married a month later in a zoo-themed ceremony with monkeys as flower girls and a macaque as ring bearer.
Soon after, John left Joe after 11 years. Travis shot himself while showing off a pistol in the zoo’s gift shop.
Exotic was forced to file for bankruptcy and lost his zoo but while he had lost everything, he still had his liberty - until he began to put into action his plan to assassinate the woman he blamed for all his woes.
Another zoo employee overheard his conversation with a maintenance man, offering him $5,000 to kill her with a cross bow or long-range rifle.
The FBI was already on the case, and when he offered the same sum to fake hit man “Mark”, telling him, “That bitch has just got to go away. Just follow her into a mall parking lot, cap her, and drive off”, his fate was sealed.
Now it is the Tiger King who is living behind bars. But maybe, Donald Trump will change all that...

It’s the news we’ve all been waiting for: there’s set to be more drama surrounding the life of Joe Exotic.
One of Tiger King‘s stars, Jeff Lowe, has revealed there is a spin-off to the Netflix series in the works.
It will star Lowe and his wife, Lauren Dropla, who have recently been told they have to vacate their home at The G.W. Exotic Animal Memorial Park in Oklahoma following recent news that Carole Baskin took control of it.
Speaking to People, Lowe revealed: “It’ll be our narrative on the Tiger King with evidence to support our sides of the stories. And it will be about the transfer of all these beautiful animals from Joe’s facility to the new facility.
“And then the day-to-day struggle of running something as big as a 60-acre animal park and all the intricacies of the employment of zookeepers and fighting all of the animal rights groups.”
Lowe went on to explain how the as yet un-placed project is currently in pre-production and the team are trying to film B-roll but the COVID-19 pandemic has put a halt to proceedings.
He added how there’s “a few more weeks” until full filming commences.

Joe Exotic fears that he is single after revealing that his husband Dillon Passage has not been in touch.
The Tiger King star - real name is Joseph Maldonado-Passage - is currently in prison serving 22 years for 17 counts of animal abuse and two counts of murder for hire charges for a plot to kill his arch-enemy Carole Baskin.
Quirky character Joe, 57, married 24-year-old Dillon in December 2011 - months after his second husband Travis Maldonado killed himself.
Dillon has previously told that he will be by Exotic's side as he spends the next two decades locked up in jail but in a letter handwritten by Joe - which TMZ recently obtained - the former zoo keeper shared that there has been no communication between the couple in recent weeks and that he wants Dillon to come clean "if he has moved on."

Joe penned in the chilling note how his mental health is declining as he learns about Dillon partying with his pals and that he feels like he's been " dumped like a dog in a shelter."
Joe scribbled down in the letter: "I don’t even know if I am married anymore, seems everyone is so busy making money and being famous. I dont even get a letter from Dillion, everyone sends pictures of him having a party while I live in this hell."
He later explained that he is struggling with not being in contact with his lover before adding that he wished he "ended things" when his second husband died.

Joe says he wants Dillon to come clean "if he has moved on"
Joe wrote: "This place is hell on earth and the mental torture of being locked up in the room alone and not even hearing Dillon’s voice or a letter I wish I could just have ended things when Travis dies."
He went on to plead: "All so those who sends screen shots of him with his buds its not cool, not funny and is not healthy for me if he has moved on he should tell me, if he hasn’t I’m I am begging to support me, sad to be dumped like a dog in a shelter but thats how it feels."
Joe went on to fume: "My own husband cant take ten minutes to write."

Elsewhere in the letter, which he ended by begging Kim Kardashian and Cardi B to "hear his scream for help" in a plea to get the famous faces to help him get out of jail, he also predicted that he'll only survive another couple of months in prison, if he's lucky.
He made the explosive claim as he explained that he is not getting the treatment and medication he needs for his health conditions, before writing: "I'll be dead in 2-3 months".
Joe still maintains his innocence and has a legal team working hard to get him a pardon from President Donald Trump.

Police have rushed to the scene of the “Tiger King” zoo amid allegations human remains have been uncovered in an alligator enclosure.
Netflix documentary fans were transfixed earlier this year when the series Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness was unleashed on the streaming service.
Viewers watched as ‘Tiger King’ himself, Joe Exotic – aka 57-year-old Joseph Allen Maldonado-Passage – was thrown behind bars for two counts of murder for hire amid a failed, and alleged, assassination plot against animal rights activist, Carole Baskin.
However, new evidence has been suggested on Friday that human remains may have been uncovered on the grounds of the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park (a.k.a. G. W. Zoo) in Wynnewood, Oklahoma.

TMZ reports that local police have reason to believe human remains are buried under an alligator pen at the controversial zoo – which is currently owned by Jeff Lowe.
The outlet claims police dogs sniffed out “what their trainer believes are human remains” on Thursday.
The news source adds: “The local sheriff's deputies are on the scene right now, and we're told they're currently discussing a method to determine if remains are there ... and, if so, how to dig them up safely.”

The s****** dogs were reportedly taken to the zoo as part of a TV show called Ghose Adventures, hosted by paranormal investigator Zak Bagans.
A source told TMZ that the human remains could be cremated remains of people who wanted to be buried at the site.
They said: ”Joe has said there are ashes of 4 people buried on the property as a memorial.”
They clarified the alleged remains are of: “people who chose to make the zoo their final resting place.”

Tiger King showed Joe lose his zoo to Jeff after he was seemingly swindled out of the property.
Meanwhile, a judge recently ruled that animal rights activist Carole should have ownership of the zoo following her own lengthy legal battle against Joe.
Mirror Online have contacted representatives of the zoo for comment.

An investigation into the Tiger King zoo found dead animals around the premises and underfed lions and bears, it's claimed.
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has found that GW Exotic Animal Park is not providing proper veterinary care for the animals that live there, according to TMZ.
Among the findings were sick animals not receiving medical treatment and a baby lion that had to be rushed to a vet.
But Lowe believes the USDA is out to get him and claims the zoo received five clean inspections from the department prior to this report.

The USDA says it found the charred remains of a 17-year-old tigon, along with a dead tiger.
The report said: "There is a foul odor of decomposing flesh and many flies are present on the boards and surrounding areas."
Lowe did not address the dead animals, but maintains the GW Zoo has weekly vet visits
Fans of the Netflix show saw Joe sign over his zoo to fellow documentary subject Jeff – before Joe himself was arrested and jailed for a string of crimes including animal abuse and a murder for hire plot.

Three lions were seen with bloody, open wounds – with one exhibiting severely injured and bloody ears and others showing cuts on their legs.
Among the USDA's findings was a 16-week-old lion cub called Nala who was lethargic, depressed, and so thin she wouldn't get up from a sitting position even after prompting.
Nala was immediately removed from the park and taken to a vet.

Lowe claims Nala was actually rescued from Tim Stark who also featured in the Netflix series.
He says he spent a fortune trying to nurse her and others back to health.
Other reported examples of neglect include two geriatric wolves suffering from arthritis, according to the report.
The USDA says the zoo was "not following the instructions of the veterinarian to provide medication and bedding for the wolves."
There was also a grizzly bear reportedly found to be extremely thin and a black bear that appeared to be underweight, with both showing heightened aggression.
But Jeff said the wolves are receiving treatment and the bears are in their proper weight class.
He says the Dept. of Fish & Wildlife recently deemed them to be in good shape by local authorities.
Lowe claims report doesn't acknowledge that "many of the animals that we house here are at the end of their lives and suffer from arthritis and do lose some weight toward the end of their days."
He said the Tiger King documentary painted a poor picture of the zoo.
Lowe also claims all of the incidents listed by the USDA in its June 22 report have since been corrected.

Tiger King Drama Starring Nicolas Cage as Joe Exotic Picked up by Amazon

Amazon Prime Video has bought the Nicolas Cage-starring Tiger King drama for development from CBS Television Studios and Imagine Entertainment, days after the Carole Baskin drama starring Kate McKinnon was announced at NBC, USA Network and streaming network Pea****.
Cage will play Joe Exotic in the Tiger King drama, which is based on the hit Netflix docuseries Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness about the battle between two wild cat sanctuaries in Oklahoma.
Joe Exotic, the Tiger King of the title, is in prison on a 22-year sentence, convicted of conspiracy to murder his rival, Baskin, proprietor of the Big Cat Sanctuary.
The Netflix docuseries became a global phenomenon during lockdown, scoring 34.3 million unique viewers in the first 10 days of its release, from March 20-29, according to Nielsen.
While Joe Exotic languishes in the clink, Baskin is about to compete in Dancing with the Stars, the US version of Strictly Come Dancing.
The Amazon drama is based on a 2019 Texas Monthly story about Joe Exotic AKA Joe Schreibvogel, Joe Exotic: A Dark Journey Into the World of a Man Gone Wild, about how he managed to build a private zoo in Oklahoma and his feuds with Carole Baskin and his former business partner Jeff Lowe.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Amazon’s version of the story will revolve around Schreibvogel (Cage), an eccentric zookeeper in Oklahoma who fights to keep his park, even at the risk of losing his sanity.
Cage’s history of playing characters living on the edge of reality is seemingly perfectly suited for the role in which he will live in the lion’s den as Joe, explore how Schreibvogel became Joe Exotic, and how Joe lost himself to a character of his own creation.
The Cage drama was first revealed in May, when producers took it out to market.

Joe Exotic 's team are so convinced he's going to get a pardon from Donald Trump, they have already booked a limo booked to collect him from prison with a hairdresser and makeup artist on standby.
The Tiger King star, 57, real name Joseph Maldonado-Passage, is serving 22 years behind bars for his role in a murder-for-hire plot to kill his nemesis Carole Baskin and violating wildlife laws.
However, he's been appealing to outgoing US President Trump to issue a pardon that would allow him to get out of jail without serving the rest of his time behind bars.
Pardons are often handed out at the very end of a president's term, but with Trump's time in office set to come to an end tomorrow, there's still no sign of whether he'll take pity on Joe's case.
However, that hasn't stopped Joe's team from getting excited about what could potentially happen on Trump's last day in office.
They've even made sure there's a stretch limo on stand-by to pick Joe up from prison in Fort Worth, Texas if the pardon is issued.
Tiger Team founder Eric Love, who is running a campaign to get Joe out of prison, told KOCO 5 in Oklahoma he's "absolutely confident" the Netflix star will get a pardon from Trump.
He goes on to explain Joe is feeling worried about his image after his stint in prison, so there's a hairdresser and makeup artist to make sure he looks his best if he gets out.
He said: "I am absolutely confident that we are going to receive the pardon tomorrow.
"We worked very hard on it...
"We've got hair and makeup, including a wardrobe, trust me, anything you can think of, we have it, including a doctor. Also a mental health expert.
"Joe's biggest thing is that he can't wait to get out as you can imagine, and he doesn't want anyone to see him until his hair is done.
"So the most important person tomorrow is the hair and makeup and wardrobe folks."
Eric also spoke to Metro.co.uk and revealed the team have planned a huge party for Joe, and he hopes to be celebrating his freedom with pizza, steak and a McRib from McDonald's.
He said: "This time tomorrow, we’re going to be celebrating. We have good reason to believe it will come through.
"We're confident enough we already have a limousine parked about half a mile from the prison.
"The first thing Joe wants to do, he wants his hair done. He hasn’t had his hair done in two-and-a-half years.
"That’s the first order of business. Then we’ll probably go and get some pizzas, steak, maybe a McRib."

Donald Trump has pardoned 73 people and commuted the sentences of a further 70 in his final hours in office.
The US President has pardoned former chief strategist Steve Bannon as part of a late flurry of clemency action benefiting nearly 150 people, including rap stars and former members of US Congress.
But there was no clemency for Joe 'Tiger King' Exotic who is currently serving a 22-year sentence for trying to hire a hitman to kill zoo keeper rival Carole Baskin.
The eccentric tiger trader was reportedly so confident he would receive a presidential pardon that his team claimed to have parked a limousine near his prison to escort him home.
The pardons and commutations for 143 people, including the surprise addition of Bannon, were announced after midnight on Wednesday in the final hours of Trump's White House term.
The NY Times reports that the release of the list of those granted clemency was due earlier on Tuesday, but the debate over Bannon was part of the delay.
He was charged last year with swindling Trump supporters over an effort to raise private funds to build the president's wall on the US-Mexico border.
A pardon cancels a criminal conviction, while a commutation shortens or ends a prison sentence.
When it comes to crimes charged in a federal court, the US president has virtually unlimited power to pardon.
Prior to the final release, Trump had already undertaken a considerable clemency effort as his time in Washington dwindled.
In December alone, he pardoned or commuted the sentences of more than four dozen people.
Many of the names were reportedly to be released in batches but the Capitol riots scuppered that and instead the President did many in one fell swoop.
Former Google engineer Anthony Levandowski - sentenced for stealing a trade secret on self-driving cars months before he briefly headed Uber Technologies Inc's rival unit - was given a full pardon.
The 40-year-old was sentenced in August to 18 months in prison after pleading guilty in March.
He was not in custody but a judge had said he could enter custody once the Covid-19 pandemic subsided.
Other last minute additions included Rapper Lil Wayne - real name Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. - who has been granted a full pardon in relation to firearms charges 10 years ago.
Prominent artist and community leader Kodak Black - real name Bill K. Kapri - was also among the 11th hour blitz.
He was sentenced to 46 months in prison for making a false statement on a Federal document. He has served nearly half of his sentence.
Former Mayor of Detroit Kwame Kilpatrick also saw his sentence for racketeering and bribery while he held public office commuted.
He had served approximately seven years inside.

Tiger King star Carole Baskin has revealed that she’s working on her own documentary about the exotic animal industry that will “expose the animal abusers”.
In an exclusive interview with RadioTimes.com, the big cat activist said she was involved in a few follow-up projects to Tiger King when asked whether she’d be telling her side of the story.
“There’s some other people out there working on some different pieces of this that will show [my side of the story] to a certain extent. I can’t talk about their productions because they haven’t aired yet.

Joe Exotic's former zoo now lies in ruins as a grim memorial to his controversy-ridden reign.
A decade since his first visit to the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park in Oklahoma, Louis Theroux returns to see what has become of the Tiger King star's former kingdom in new BBC documentary Shooting Joe Exotic.
It's a haunting sight to behold, as Louis walks along rows of empty cages that once housed majestic wild animals in alarming conditions which viewers witnessed in the Netflix documentary.
Now permanently closed to the public and without any animals, the GW zoo has now passed into the hands of Joe's nemesis, Big Cat Rescue founder Carole Baskin and her husband Howard.
Carole tells Louis that he would be a better tour guide than she is and the documentary-maker points to a cage he had previously been inside along with a bear and tiger cub.
But the most shocking discoveries come in the wreck of Joe's old house, which leave Louis and Carole squirming in disgust after viewing a rude photo.
Joe, real name Joseph Maldonado-Passage, is now behind bars for two counts of attempted murder for hire for a plot to kill Carole and federal charges of animal abuse.
Businessman Jeff Lowe, who purchased the park in 2016, was ordered to vacate the park within 120 days in May last year and remove all animals from the property.
A federal judge gave ownership to Baskin after ruling Exotic had fraudulently transferred ownership to his mother to avoid paying debts which had been incurred as a result of Baskin's lawsuit.
There is lots of disgusting graffiti all around the animal park aimed at Carole, including some promoting the theory she 'murdered' her late husband Don Lewis, a claim she has always vehemently denied.
Carole has explain the meaning of one bit of graffiti which references the samba - telling Louis its because she did badly while performing the dance on the US version of Strictly, Dancing With The Stars.
They head to where Joe's office used to be which is also full of abusive graffiti, but Louis admits its strange that it's all come from Jeff Lowe and his team.
When asked why there is so much animosity, Carole's husband Howard explains: "We took the property and got a court order and he had to leave the so we’re not his best friend. The whole property was trashed very intentionally."
However, Lowe has denied vandalising the park, which he briefly reopened in May last year as 'Tiger King Park' to draw crowds in off the back of the Netflix series.
While looking at tiny pens that were once storage for surplus tigers, emotional Carole says: "It's just so sad."
The Baskins say there were three tigers, 11 wolves and two bears still remaining when they took over that were moved to a sanctuary in Colorado.
Animals that Joe didn't shoot are dispersed but still caged at roadside zoos and sanctuaries around the US.
While looking through a pile of rubble they find tiger bones and a skull - but the most grisly discoveries come in Joe's former home.
With an uneasy feeling of trespassing, I was entering the wreckage of what I'd once known as Joe's home," says Louis.
What was once his living area has been desolated and Carole claims it's all just "garbage" now.
Using a torch, Louis enters what he believes was once Joe's bedroom and finds a crib where he used to keep tiger cubs.
"What a god awful nursery," says Carole before making a bizarre discovery on the floor.
She cries: "And oh my gosh and there are d*** pics down here on the floor now that I'm looking down at my feet."
Stunned Louis replies: "Are you serious? Oh my goodness. That is the reproductive organ of the male species in a state of arousal."
A throwback to Joe's time in the limelight, Louis spots a dirty Joe Exotic TV hat on the side and admits: "It takes a bit of work for a place to look this bad."
In the wreckage of Joe's house, Louis wonders if it might contain clues to his life and story.
He describes it as a "mausoleum to Joe's dreams after finding magazines and newspaper cuttings stretching back to the earliest years of his life.
There are photos of his brief stint as a Texas police chief, first marriage to late partner Brian Rhyne and a momento of his brother Garold Wayne Schreibvogel, who was killed at 36 after a car crash and in whose memory the park was founded.
Louis also visits Carole's Big Cat Rescue site in Tampa, Florida which provides a home for abused animals and aims to end breeding in captivity.
He points out that Joe called his animal park a sanctuary that rescued big cats so asks Carole what makes her so different.
"Sanctuaries don’t breed, they don’t buy, they don’t sell these animals," she explains.
"A place that claims to be a sanctuary and saving these animals while they’re breeding more for a life in prison thats a zoo, not a sanctuary."
Carole paid the price for trying to hit back at Joe's practises as he seemingly made death threats and claimed she was "the number one terrorist in America".
Reflecting on the turbulent time, Carole and her husband Howard tell Louis that Joe was angry because their campaigning meant malls were not allowing him to bring tigers along anymore and had a major impact on his income.
"I think an organisation like PETA coming after him was an organisation, where as me who could blame it on a single person," says Carole.
"But the battle was never with him, it was always to protect the big cats from people like him."

The GW Exotic Animal Park made most of its money by allowing the public to handle tiger cubs.
Visitors were allowed to sponsor the tigers, paid to hold them and were even shown tiny cubs that were only 24 hours old.
The most lucrative and controversial of the fundraising activities were Joe's cub-petting roadshows where he would visit malls to see a wider range of customers.
While confessing he saw things that were "at best questionable", Louis admits it was hard not to "warm" to Joe.
Looking back at his original documentary while reflecting on hours of unseen footage, Louis sets out to understand who the real Joe Exotic is and comes to some worrying realisations.

Erik Cowie Dead: Netflixs' Tiger King Zookeeper Found Dead Aged 53
Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness reality personality Erik Cowie has been found dead

Erik Cowie - who appeared on Netflix hit Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness - had died at the age of 53.
The zookeeper was found on Friday in New York City in the bedroom of a property, TMZ reports.
The site adds that their sources say there was "nothing suspicious about the death at this point and no drugs were found on the scene."
It is understood that a toxicology test will still be performed on the reality star by a medical examiner.
Tiger handler Erik found fame after Joe Exotic allowed cameras to film Tiger King at the G.W. Exotic Animal Memorial Park.
The loveable character had the title of head zookeeper for five years under Exotic's management.
On Tiger King, Erik took part in several interviews with directors and shared on his experience of working at the controversial zoo and often told that the animals were his main focus.
As shown in the series, he also went on to testify at Exotic’s trial where he alleged older tigers were shot and killed at the zoo
Erik starred on the reunion episode, The Tiger King And I, and made it clear that he was not a fan of Exotic's and was pleased the quirky star - who is currently serving a 22-year sentence in Fort Worth, Texas - was in jail.
After being asked if he thinks Exotic should be released, Cowie said: “No. Not no, but f*** no.”
He added, with a laugh: “Twenty-two years doing federal time – that guy’s gonna die in there. Good riddance.
“I am pretty sure they don’t have Netflix in there so he won’t get to see it.”

Thursday, Netflix announced an upcoming "Tiger King 2."
The first season of the series, "Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness," follows the story of Joseph "Joe Exotic" Maldonado-Passage, his tigers and other big cats at his Tiger King Park in Oklahoma.
It also documents Maldonado-Passage being sentenced to 22 years in federal prison after being convicted of attempting to hire someone to kill Carole Baskin, a fellow exotic animal park owner who consistently lobbied for Maldonado-Passage's park to be shut down.
The show, which premiered on Netflix on 26 March 2020, was viewed in 64 million households in the first four weeks after its premiere, according to Netflix.
"Tiger King 2," directed once again by Eric Goode and Rebecca Chaiklin, will feature even "more madness and mayhem," Netflix says.
The season's release date was not announced.
In a video released as part of other true crime shows Netflix will be streaming, clips from the season appear to show Baskin walking inside the U.S. Capitol, Maldonado-Passage on the phone in prison and a billboard asking who killed Don Lewis, the founder of Big Cat Rescue and husband of Baskin, who mysteriously disappeared in 1997.
The cult-phenomenon has continuously made headlines months after its release. Last year, Maldonado-Passage wrote a letter to then-President Donald Trump asking to be pardoned. In July, a federal appeals court ruled Maldonado-Passage should receive a shorter prison sentence of 17.5 years rather than 22 years.
A tell-all book is also set to be released in November.
As for the Tiger King Park, it no longer exists. All the big cats at the park were taken by federal officials in May, with the remaining animals there seized in August.

Tiger King left the world speechless when it aired in lockdown 2020, introducing us to characters from the quirky to the bizarre and unforgettable Joe Exotic, Carole Baskin and Don Lewis.
Each episode was more wild than the last as Exotic, whose real name is Joseph Maldonado-Passage, was accused of killing his own tigers and hiring a hitman to kill Big Cat Rescue sanctuary owner Carole.
He claimed she killed her husband Don Lewis and fed him to her tigers, something she has denied.
Exotic lived in a throuple marriage, ran for governor, embarked on a pop career, and was eventually handed a 22-year prison sentence for attempting to facilitate the murder of his nemesis Carole, as well as a string of animal cruelty charges.
Meanwhile his employees, one of whom was missing an arm and another both his legs, were just as fascinating.
But while viewers found the show baffling and hilarious in equal parts, it also depicted heartbreaking tragedies, not least of all the deaths of the innocent older tigers who were slaughtered to make space for cubs, which drew in the big bucks.
As the highly-anticipated second series of Tiger King landed on Netflix this week, let's take a look back at some of the show's saddest and most gruesome moments.
Tiger tears of Saff's arm
Saff lost his arm after being mauled by a tiger
Joe Exotic's Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park worker Saff featured in one of the most shocking moments of the Netflix series when his arm had to be cut off after being mauled by a tiger.
He was attacked when he put an arm through a cage and a big cat tried to rip it off, and as Saff tried to pull the arm out, the skin was ripped by the metal on the cage.
Saff was offered the opportunity of either an amputation or two years of reconstructive surgery, and he opted for the amputation.
He said: "There's no fight between me and a 600 pound tiger. It took all of 15-20 seconds from the moment he bit me to the time he let me go."
Asked whether he watched the mauling footage back, Saff said: "I have over and over, yes sir. There was a time and place we actually used it as a safety video.
"We didn’t have any further conversation than this should be the one thing people need to see before they decide this the career move they need to make."

Saff was in hospital for seven days in total, returning to work just five days after the amputation.
"I saw how much they blew it up into this horror story, I felt like the best thing to do was get back to work to set things right," he said, explaining he didn't want the tigers to suffer because people panicked that the park wasn't safe.
In a recent interview on Lights Out With David Spade, Saff was pragmatic and said the day of the accident was a moment of "complacency".
"It’s not the fault of the tiger from my end and it’s not the fault of the tiger from the zoo itself," he said.
The tiger which attacked Saff was not put down but moved off the park and no longer interacted with the public.

John Reinke lost his legs after a horror zip-lining
Zoo manager John Reinke suffered one of the worst accidents to happen to the Tiger King cast - but it wasn't what people initially assumed.
Visitors at the park thought the reason he had no legs was because tigers bit them off, but he'd actually lost them after a horrific zip-lining accident.
"A lot of people think tigers took my legs, no, it actually happened from a zip line accident," he said in the documentary.
"I fell 50 feet, landed on my feet, crushed my feet, broke my hip, broke my back, tore all my insides up. I was paralysed from the waist down, but I could move a big toe, and that's when I said, 'I can do this.'
"So I took it upon myself to learn how to walk."
But walking around the zoo "on bone" for 12 hours a day, seven days a week, meant John ended up losing his feet.
He insisted he didn't blame the zoo, only himself for not allowing his feet to recover properly.
"Now I've just got these cool-looking legs," he added, gesturing to his colourful prothetic legs.
He opted not to file a lawsuit against the company he was working for when the zip-lining accident occurred, but he claimed the owners of the organisation later won $16million in a Texas lottery.
Despite their winnings, John didn't receive any payout for his accident, nor did he pursue any.
He explained: "Back then you didn't sue your friends, you know, and they were friends of mine. They said they'd take care of me.
"Anyways, I'm alright. I take care of myself."

Months after Tiger King was released, another chilling accident befell an employee at the tiger parks - and this time it was Carole Baskin's sanctuary.
Volunteer Candy Crouser, 69, almost lost her arm after she broke protocol by sticking her arm into a tiger named Kimba's cage.
A statement from the sanctuary explained that Candy, who had worked at the sanctuary for five years, had arrived for feeding to find that the tiger was "locked in a section that was away from where he was usually fed".
She reached inside to unlatch a door, and that's when the tiger "grabbed her arm and nearly tore it off at the shoulder".
The statement added: "Candy said she just wasn't thinking when she reached in to un-clip [the door]."
Candy worked at Carole Baskin's Big Cat Rescue sanctuary
Shocked bystanders used a belt as a tourniquet and placed ice on Candy's arm to try to save it, before ambulance workers arrived and rushed her to hospital.
The organisation added that her arm had been broken in three places and that her shoulder had been "badly damaged".
They said Kimba was being kept in quarantine for 30 days as a precaution, but that he was only behaving "normally" due to "the presence of food and the opportunity".
Candy, who was still conscious after the attack, "insisted that she did not want Kimba Tiger to come to any harm for this mistake".
During a Loose Women appearance shortly afterwards, Carole said it appeared the surgeons were able to save Candy's arm.
Joe Exotic's husband accidentally shoots himself in the head
Travis Maldonado tragically died by a self-inflicted gunshot wound
One of Exotic's two husbands, Travis Maldonado, accidentally killed himself in 2017.
Travis was just 23 when he shot himself in the head in front of his colleague, whose horrified reaction was shown in Tiger King as the gunshot wound occurred off-screen.
Exotic claimed in a news conference that Travis had been fooling around with his Ruger pistol in the gift shop at the GW Zoo, and didn't believe it would fire as he had taken the magazine out.
But when he tried to demonstrate that to other staff members, he actually shot himself in the head.
In the episode covering Travis' death, Exotic's political campaign manager Joshua Dial, is seen on CCTV gasping in horror after the gun goes off.
"Travis came into the office and started complaining to me," he recalled. "Travis was sitting underneath the camera but it was pointing directly at me.
"He complained that he was a prisoner, that he was never allowed to leave the park, he wasn't allowed to get a job, all this was true, and frankly he was upset that he didn't have enough pot.

"He's always pointed guns at people all the time out there at the park. Sometimes he'd wake you up pointing a gun at you, he'd done that to me on multiple occasions, so he had done that to me again in the office that morning and said, you know, 'Freeze motherf**ker!', which is just what he did.
"And I told him, 'Dude, you know not to point guns', because I've told him before, 'Don't point a gun at me'.
"And he said, 'Oh man, this is a Ruger, there's no clip in it, and you know a Ruger won't fire without a clip.'
"I was sitting in a chair looking at him when he put the gun to his head."
CCTV images show a flash of light just off camera, and Joshua jumped and held his hands up to his face in utter shock as he sat frozen in fear.
Joshua said he thought it was a joke because Travis was such a prankster.
He added: "It's not like on the movies, I knew he was dead the second he pulled the trigger, but at the same time I didn't."
Eric Cowie Dies of Alcoholism
Erik Cowie had been an outspoken critic of his former boss Joe Exotic
Exotic's Head Zookeeper Erik Cowie died at the age of 53 in September.
He was found dead in a friends bedroom in New York City, TMZ reported at the time of his passing.
Reports claimed that there was "nothing suspicious about the death" and "no drugs were found on the scene," and the outlet later revealed the NYC Chief Medical Examiner ruled Erik's official cause of death as acute and chronic alcohol use.
The medical examiner also told the outlet they were classifying the manner of the reality star's death as natural.
Erik had testified at Exotic’s trial where he alleged older tigers were shot and killed at his zoo, and he admitted he helped put the animals down for no good reason and it haunted him to this day.

He also starred on the reunion episode, The Tiger King And I, and made it clear that he was not a fan of Exotic's and was pleased he was in jail.
Asked if he thinks Exotic should be released, Cowie said: "No. Not no, but f*** no."
He added, with a laugh: "Twenty-two years doing federal time – that guy’s gonna die in there. Good riddance.
"I am pretty sure they don’t have Netflix in there so he won’t get to see [Tiger King]."
Upon hearing of Erik's death, Exotic shared no sympathy for his former colleague.
The former zoo owner, who is battling prostate cancer, said: "Never wish evil upon anyone else. God is watching."

Joe Exotic and Dillon Passage's divorce is nearing completion
Joe Exotic will soon be a free man - when it comes to his marriage status - as his divorce from Dillon Passage is close to being finalised.
The 59-year-old reality star - who was jailed in 2019 for a string of offences including animal abuse charges and a murder-for-hire plot, as documented in the hit Netflix series - had been married to 25-year-old Dillon since December 2017.
However, their relationship soured after Joe - real name Joseph Schreibvogel - was thrown in the slammer three years ago.
The couple have been estranged since March 2021 and divorce proceedings have been rumbling along ever since - but that could soon be about to change.
According to TMZ, divorce documents between Joe and Dillon have been finalised, and they “just need a judge's signature to officially close things up.”
According to the outlet, the split could be relatively straight forward as: “There are no joint assets or marital property between them, so they're each entitled to whatever separate property they have.”
And the report adds: “The docs say they've waived the right to any alimony, and there's a nondisparagement agreement - meaning one ain't allowed to bad-mouth the other.”
Dillon previously told fans online that he felt like a caged animal while married to Joe
The report also claims that Dillon also has to give up "any right to distribute, profit from, sell, transfer or use" any of the likenesses of Joe Exotic from Tiger King and "Joe Exotic For President."
The report also states that Dillon’s lawyer told TMZ that he was looking forward to his divorce being completed and that he could put his ‘Tiger King’ days behind him.
Dillon alarmed fans last year when he compared himself to a caged animal while married to Joe.
Addressing followers via Instagram in August last year, he said: “Joe was good to me but there was a lot of negativity as well.
“While we were at the zoo, everything as good but there were little things that were picking at me
“I wasn’t allowed to have friends at the zoo. All of the employees at the zoo, Joe didn’t want me talking to them. I wasn’t exactly sure why.”
He continued: “Joe, in a relationship, likes to be in control. If he doesn’t have that control then he lashes out.
“I know a lot of people are like that, he’s not singled out in this. When you’re in a marriage there should be compromise in a lot of things.”
