Ozzys' Son Jack Posts Family Photo & Assures Fans On His Parkinsons' Battle

'I Wanted a Divorce': Sharon Osbourne opens up about Being Close to Separating from Ozzy for Good after he Started Using Again

By Daily Mail

X Factor judge Sharon Osbourne has lifted the lid on what really happened between her and her husband of 32 years Ozzy last year.

In extracts from her book Unbreakable which have been serialised by The Sun she reveals her torment on discovering Ozzy, who had been sober for seven years, was drinking and taking drugs once more.
The series of events which led to her demanding for a divorce came when, the evening before the couple’s 30th anniversary, she received a tip-off that he was using again.

Trouble: While Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne have now reconciled, Sharon has admitted she was very close to divorcing him

She reveals that when the family came to join her in New York where she was filming America’s Got Talent, she took the opportunity to check what her husband was up to.

She writes: ‘There were texts going back months, asking people for drugs and saying ‘Don’t tell the old girl’. It was all there. Everything I knew I’d find but desperately hoped I wouldn’t. My husband was abusing again.’
And rather than the Black Sabbath star joining in the celebrations, Sharon writes that he sat on the sofa the whole time.

Solid: Many believed the couple were forever after they remained tight since marrying back in 1982

Once they returned to LA Sharon decided to ask him about what alcohol he had been drinking and in a confused state after taking a sleeping pill he revealed he had drunk anything he could get his hands on.

Sharon decided to stick by her man, who she also manages, when he agreed to go to alcoholic anonymous and they started therapy together.

Things took another turn for the worse though when she received a call from Ozzy during which he said ‘I think I need to be a bachelor.’
She writes that she answered: ‘Whaaaat? A bachelor? Have you heard yourself? You’re a f****** pensioner. You need a bus pass, that’s what you need.’

Things came to a head when Ozzy went missing for a number of hours in his car, leaving Sharon terrified about his welfare.
He returned the following day carrying a bottle of vodka and a crate of beer before working his way through every last bit of alcohol in the house.
Furious at his behaviour the fiery redhead ordered all his cars to be sold, which was perhaps the wakeup call he needed as she received a text which read: ‘I need help. I’m hurting. I’ve been using for a year and a half.’
The revelations come after reports emerged earlier this year that the couple were on the rocks amid suggestions they were in fact living apart.

The rumours came at around the same time the 64-year-old rock singer posted a public apology on his Facebook page, after confessing to being in ‘a very dark place’ with drink and drugs over the past 18 months.

‘For the last year and a half I have been drinking and taking drugs,’ wrote Osbourne. ‘I was in a very dark place and was an a*****e to the people I love most, my family. However, I am happy to say that I am now 44 days sober.
‘Just to set the record straight, Sharon and I are not divorcing. I’m just trying to be a better person.
‘I would like to apologise to Sharon, my family, my friends and my band mates for my insane behaviour during this period… and my fans. God Bless, Ozzy.’

Unbreakable by Sharon Osbourne is published by Little, Brown on October 10 for £20

Ozzy Osbourne Reveals He Almost Killed Sharon in Drunken Rage

60 Minutes Australia, 19 Jul 2019

He's one of life's great survivors, and depending on your age, either a bat-biting hell-raiser or a doddering indictment of the rock and roll lifestyle. Ozzy Osbourne has taken so many drugs, and drunk so much alcohol it's a miracle he's still with us, although maybe the greater miracle is that his wife, Sharon, is still with him.

Ozzy Osbourne Has Parkinson's

Ozzy Osbourne Details Heartbreaking Parkinson's Diagnosis in Emotional Interview

71-year-old Ozzy Osbourne says he can't hide his nerve pain any longer and will be seeking treatment in Switzerland

Daily Mirror UK, 23JAN., 2020.

The 71-year-old rocker said he couldn't hide his health woes any longer after suffering from debilitating nerve pain that left him with numbness down one arm and his legs going cold.

In a sit down interview with Good Morning America, Ozzy admitted he'd spent the last year in constant pain, describing it as the most 'miserable time of his life.'

The Black Sabbath star said his problems started when he suffered a fall at home last April and underwent surgery.

He said doctors were unsure whether it was the fall or the surgery that led to the downward spiral.

Ozzy said he wanted to speak out after it was falsely reported he was on his 'death bed' and he felt guilty about not being honest with his fans.

"It has been terribly challenging for us," Ozzy began. "I had to have surgery on my neck which screwed all my nerves. I found out that I have a mild form of...."

As Ozzy struggled to finish his sentence, wife Sharon continued: "It's Parkin 2 which is a form of Parkinson's. There are so many different types of Parkinson's.

"It's not a death sentence by any stretch of the imagination but it does effect the nerves in your body. It's like you'll have a good day, then a good day and then a really bad day," she explained.

Ozzy continued: "A year ago I was in a terrible state. I'm on a host of medication, mainly for the surgery.

"I've got numbness down this arm and my legs are going cold. I don't know if it's the Parkinson's or what. That's the problem."

Jack Osbourne has delighted fans by sharing a rare family photo as three generations of Osbournes head off on holiday together.

The son of Black Sabbath rocker Ozzy, 71, also assured fans about his dad's health after he recently underwent major spine surgery and was diagnosed with Parkinson's last year.

For his latest Instagram post, Jack, 34, posed up with his famous parents Ozzy and Sharon - who haven't been seen for months - and his three kids Andy Rose, Minnie Theodora and Pearl, who he shares with ex wife Lisa Stelley.

Jack's girlfriend Aree Gearhart completed the happy line-up.

Prince of Darkness Ozzy looked very at home in his role of doting grandpa as he beamed beside wife Sharon, who put a supportive hand to his chest.

Ozzy has Parkinson's which is now affecting his ability to walk but, as he revealed in a recent interview with the Mirror, he won't be retiring any time soon.

Jack told his 521,000 Instagram followers that his father is doing well after he was pictured looking almost unrecognisable sporting grey locks instead of his signature black tresses.

Dad Jack said Ozzy simply hadn't got his hair dyed because 'it's not really recommended for people with Parkinson's' to get their hair dyed during global pandemic.

Speaking to the Mirror this weekend, Ozzy said he has been quarantining since March.

The rock icon also said he is determined to finish his last tour which was postponed during the coronavirus pandemic.

"When you feel that audience jumping, it’s a better feeling than orgasm. It is the best love affair of my life.

“The party is on, man. I feel honoured people still want to see me," he said.

“To be Ozzy Osbourne it could be worse... I could be Sting," Ozzy joked.

Opening up about his Parkinson’s diagnosis, which he went public about in January, Ozzy says: “Well the one questions from me was, ‘Is it a terminal illness?’, and the guy says, ‘No, but life is’.

“It’s just another thing on my plate I have got to deal with. I’m not in the slightest worried about it."

Wife Sharon said they went public with the news in January this year as they didn't see it as a 'dirty little secret.'

The former X Factor judge said of her husband-of-38 years “He’s always had a funny walk so f*** it, you know? Let’s make nothing different. No pity, he doesn’t need pity. He just needs a stage."
