Moravian Daily Texts

Monday, July 18 — Psalm 86:11–17
Deuteronomy 28:25–57; Luke 9:51–62

The Lord’s mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22–23

So we do not lose heart. Even though our outer nature is wasting away, our inner nature is being renewed day by day. 2 Corinthians 4:16

Prince of Peace, we rejoice in our hearts knowing that we are not alone, for you neither sleep nor slumber. Despite our physical deterioration, you continue to renew our inner beings, as we await your return. Amen.

I BRING GOOD NEWS
David Wilkerson

“It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27). As Scripture testifies, our lives here on earth are like grass (see Psalm 102:11). One day we’re here, growing and thriving, and the next day we’re fading away with the season. We’re like the vapor of breath we see on a frosty day: here one moment and gone the next. And I’m convinced that just one moment into eternity, we’ll realize how unimportant and fleeting our present fears and trials have been. We’ll also see just how present the Lord has been with us the whole time, watching over us with His saving and keeping power.

I bring you good news—glorious news—that will help combat all the bad news you’ve been hearing. I believe this news will keep your heart and spirit peaceful, even joyful, through all that’s coming upon the earth. Here is that good news:

If you have repented of any and all sins and you are trusting Jesus—believing in His cleansing blood, submitting daily to His lordship—you’re going to stand before His throne without fault or fear. In fact, you’re going to be acknowledged before everyone present—every human, every angel, every demon in hell—as the precious Bride of Christ.

You will not have to face even a single sin against you, nor be exposed for any failure, but you will be able to stand without blemish.

Not a single sin of yours will be mentioned. Instead, only your good works—including your faith in Jesus Christ—will be expressed to the multitudes gathered.

WE MUST GO TO HIM
Gary Wilkerson

“Then a leader of the local synagogue, whose name was Jairus, arrived. When he saw Jesus, he fell at his feet” (Mark 5:22, NLT).

And we need to do that, too. As Christians, Jesus resides in our hearts, but even so we need to go to Him on our knees, reaching out to Him in our desperation.

If you don’t know Jesus, I can tell you that He loved you even though you rebelled against Him to live a selfish life. He died for your sins and rose again on the third day; the Bible declares it as truth and more than five hundred witnesses saw Him.

There was proof that Jesus rose again on the third day and now He is alive forevermore. If you receive Him into your heart, you can be forgiven of all your sins and have a fresh start. The Bible says that old things have passed away and all things have become new (see 2 Corinthians 5:17).

Today you can run from where you are and fall at His feet just as Jairus did. You might be stuck in a cycle of religion — just going to church, going through the empty motions — but you can run to Jesus in your desperation and say, “Jesus, I cry out to You for faith that comes by hearing the Word of God.”

That is the gospel in a nutshell and you can receive Him as your Lord and Savior today!

BLAMELESS BEFORE HIM
David Wilkerson

God offers a wonderful promise to all who were guilty of horrible sins:
  • whose acts were bloodied with the stench of hell
  • who abused their bodies with alcohol, drugs, perversions, fornications
  • who gulp when they think of how close they came to falling headlong into hell
God’s promise to them is that they can stand with great joy on the Day of Judgment without a trace of fear. He pledges:

“Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool” (Isaiah 1:18).

No matter what your past is like, God no longer sees you as you once were. Instead, you’ve been transformed into His precious, lovely, spotless Bride. He is awaiting your presence at the jubilant marriage feast.

Would a bridegroom anticipating his wedding day suddenly charge his bride with iniquity? No groom would do that. You may wonder, “But isn’t Jesus going to judge all wickedness?” Yes, He is. But the Christ you are going to meet on that day is the same Christ who has forgiven you, called you, purchased you with His own blood, cleansed you, and interceded for you all these years.

As you stand before Jesus, you are going to see Him as your husband, your redeemer, your friend, your advocate, your intercessor. And, in that moment, you are going to stand complete in Him, without fault, without spot or wrinkle, holy and blameless.

“And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses” (Colossians 2:13).

OUR CORONATION DAY
David Wilkerson

Fear is not compatible with all the wonderful relationships the Lord has proclaimed in His love for us. Throughout the Scriptures God describes all the facets of His relationship to us:
  • He is our father, our brother, our friend
  • our bridegroom, our head, our husband
  • our advocate, our kinsman-redeemer
  • our provider, our refuge, our shepherd

God has established all these glorious relationships with us through the cross and now He is urging us to know, “This is who I am to you.”

Do you think God is going to suddenly wipe out all these relationships with His people on the Day of Judgment? Never! How can a father reject his offspring in that child’s hour of accountability? Even as the Book of Life is being opened, He will still be your father, your advocate, your intercessor. Nothing can take away that relationship from you.

Fear will not be present on the day of your restitution and coronation.

“He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. . . . As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us” (Psalm 103:10, 12).

Our minds cannot begin to fathom how far the east is from the west. And that is God’s point in this verse: He has removed our sins beyond our capability to ever call them back.

Why am I calling God’s Day of Judgment our coronation day? It is because Isaiah says of that day:

“As the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee” (Isaiah 62:5).

As you stand before your Lord then, you will recognize His eyes of love for you.

A NEW DAY WAS DAWNING
David Wilkerson

Jesus was in His last days of ministry. He had just cleansed the temple, driving out the moneychangers, and now He was spending time with His disciples to prepare them as the pillars of His future church. Yet at this point they were still faithless, “slow to believe.” Jesus had chided them for their unbelief at various times, asking, “Can you not see?” He saw in their hearts a hindrance that had to be removed or they would never come into the revelation necessary to lead the church.

One day as Jesus and the disciples passed by a barren fig tree, Jesus cursed it:

“[He] said to it, ‘Let no one eat fruit from you ever again.’ And His disciples heard it” (Mark 11:14).

Later, as the group came by the fig tree again, Peter pointed out, “Lord, the fig tree You cursed has dried up.”

Without giving Peter an actual answer, Jesus said simply, “Have faith in God.” We know from Jesus’ amazing response that the message to follow was all about faith.

SOMETHING NEW

The withered fig tree was another of Christ’s illustrated sermons. This dried-up plant represented God’s rejection of the old religious system of works in Israel. That system was all about trying to earn salvation and God’s favor by human effort and self-will.

Something new was about to be birthed in Israel: a church in which God’s people would live totally by faith. Salvation and eternal life would come only by faith.

To this point, God’s people knew nothing of living by faith. Their religion had been all about performance: appearing for worship services, reading the Torah, keeping extensive sets of rules. Now Jesus was saying, “That old system is over, headed for judgment.” A new day was dawning: the church of faith was being birthed.

Bible Prophecy - God Gave It - Satan Hates It

Watch at least the first 3 to 5 minutes if not all, are you afraid?.......Guest Speaker Major Amir Tsarfati provides a discussion on prophecy and “End Times” as presented in the Bible and why Satan hates it.
Amir was born to a Jewish family in Jerusalem. He grew up in the Jerusalem area and heard about the Messiah while living with a foster family as a high school senior. It was when he saw the “Jesus” film by Campus Crusade that he accepted Jesus into his heart, the turning point in his life.

HUNGER FOR THE WORD OF GOD
Jim Cymbala
August 13, 2016

As we already know, the Christian church was born when the Holy Spirit was poured out. Amazingly, in the hours afterward, thousands of people converted to the faith, and the new believers fell into an inspired new rhythm of congregational life. “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer” (Acts 2:42).

In the beginning, Christian doctrine was transmitted orally since there wasn’t a written New Testament. The apostles spoke the gospel and the associated teachings they heard from Jesus. This was the Word of God that the early believers “devoted themselves to.”

That kind of dedication to the Word is always a vital sign that the Holy Spirit is moving in the life of a person or a church. Believers have a hunger to hear, read, study, and in particular, understand more about the Word of God.

That makes sense, of course, since the Holy Spirit was the one who inspired the Bible. He was the author who inspired the writers. The Bible is His book. Spirit-controlled Christians don’t usually have to force themselves to read the Bible; the Spirit gives them a holy appetite for it.

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth, so He will always direct us toward God’s truth. When a person has little interest in the Word, or when Scripture seems dull and tedious to a church body, that is a sign that something is seriously out of sync. When we don’t have respect for the Word and reverence for its authority, and when we don’t humble ourselves to hear what God has said, we’re on the wrong path.

I know it is possible today to gather large numbers of people together on a Sunday without a strong emphasis on the Word. In fact, many of the people sitting in the pew might be totally content without hearing careful Bible preaching and exposition. But when we wander away from the Word, thinking we can live without it day after day, week after week, we cease to grow spiritually and open ourselves to spiritual deception. The apostle Peter wrote, “Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation” (1 Peter 2:2, emphasis added). The Word of God contains the vital spiritual nutrients we need—every day—to grow in Christ.

A MERCIFUL GOD
David Wilkerson

“Love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful” (Luke 6:35-36, my italics).

Throughout the Bible, a powerful theme rings out: “The Lord thy God is a merciful God” (Deuteronomy 4:31). This theme of mercy (leniency, compassion, forgiveness) is at the very core of the Old Testament. We read it again and again in Deuteronomy, Chronicles, Nehemiah and Psalms: “The Lord your God is gracious and merciful.” Likewise, we see the same theme of mercy in each of the Gospels and throughout the New Testament.

A SACRIFICE OF GREAT WORTH

When God looked down at the outbreak of debauchery on the earth, He did not turn away from His creation. He did not give up on this sinful, godless, lust-consumed world — and the Scriptures tell us something of what His mercy to a sinful world cost Him. He sent His own Son down into our midst and then in His tender mercy, the Father offered up His Son as a sacrifice, laying on Christ the iniquities of us all.

Think of the high cost of mercy that Jesus paid. The weight of such a price simply cannot be calculated. No one can measure Christ’s pain at taking upon Himself the sins of the world.

In my words, just think of being spotless of sin, the Son of the living God taking on ALL sins, all kinds of sins of the world. Imagine the shame, disgust and even your own father turning his back on you. This is what Jesus did for you and me so that we may receive salvation through God's gracious love and Jesus' love for us. He, Jesus was the ultimate and final sacrifice for our sins. God loves the sinner but hates our sin. Receive Jesus into your heart today and receive His salvation of eternal life in GLORY. BELIEVE, REPENT AND RECEIVE GOD'S LOVING GRACE THROUGH HIS HOLY SPIRIT. Time is just getting to short to wait.

A SPECIAL DAY
David Wilkerson

I picture the zealous Pharisee Saul at the beginning of the special day when mercy shone on him. He had asked for an audience with the high priest:

“The young man who persecutes the Jesus crowd wants permission to take his crusade to Damascus. He vows to jail them all. He actually thinks he will be able to put out this ‘Jesus fire.’”

Imagine the scene as Saul and his band of men rode out of Jerusalem toward their next mission. They were cheered on their way by the high priest and all the scribes and Pharisees. But then, just outside the township of Damascus, the radiant gleam of mercy fell on Saul (see Acts 9).

THIS IS JESUS!

How did mercy present itself to this lost, misguided man? It did not try to confound him. It did not accuse him. It did not try to destroy him. Instead, the fully paid, free mercy of the Lord laid Saul facedown on the ground. And a voice spoke to him, saying, “Saul, Saul, this is Jesus. Why are you persecuting Me?”

Christ’s message to this zealot was clear: “It is Me you are touching, Saul. With every Christian you have jailed, you have done it to Me.”

REVELATION AND REDEMPTION

Saul was overwhelmed by this revelation. Temporarily stricken blind, he was led to the home of a praying, Spirit-filled man in Damascus named Ananias. In a small room there, Saul called on the name of Jesus. Ananias boldly explained to him the high cost of the mercy he had received and told him, “Now, Saul, you are going to suffer for His name’s sake.”

With a stricken conscience, Saul surely thought back to the stoning of Stephen, the many believers he had thrown into jail, and the multitudes he had abused. But this man received mercy that day!

FROM HEAVEN TO THE VALLEY
Nicky Cruz

Jesus chose to be a child of the valley. Before He came to earth He was living in greater glory than we could possibly imagine. The Son of the King of the universe. He sat at the right hand of God. He is God. And yet He chose to step down from His throne and enter the world of the valley. He chose to live among the hopeless and lost of creation. He humbled Himself, denied Himself, emptied Himself for our sake. And He went to the cross in shame to create a bridge between the valley and the mountaintop.
The valley is a cold and heartless place to live. It is defined by blindness, drought and hunger. You can feel the rejection, the hurt, the insecurity, the fear, the turmoil. You can smell the hopelessness and pain. You can sense the anguish and sorrow. And the valley has nothing to do with income or social status. It’s a state of the heart. It is anyplace apart from knowing and trusting God.
Jesus came to the valley to bring hope, love and compassion, to bring sight to the blind, to show the way out. He came to bring new life to those who were dead. He went to the valley because that’s where the lost people lived. And yet, so often, those He sets free never take the time to look back. They never make an effort to journey back into the valley to help others find their way out. They never travel into the valley of hopelessness to bring hope.
“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost” (Luke 19:10, N
IV).

THE PLANS OF THE LORD
Gary Wilkerson

Often when God tells Christians that He has great plans for them, they respond, “Oh, I don’t know, Lord.” But when Satan comes to them and says, “I’m going to destroy you,” they think, “Yeah, that could be true.”

WHOM DO YOU BELIEVE?

We believe the lies of the enemy almost more than we believe the truths of God. But we must get to the place where we say, “No, God has a call on my life and a higher plan. I’m going to stand firm, steadfast, immovable—by the grace of God. By His power that works mightily in me, just as Paul says” (see Colossians 1:29).

You do not stand by might or power but by His Spirit—because His Spirit lives within you! You can be a Christian who possesses boldness and confidence, one who believes the truth about yourself and about others, but mostly about God and what He has planned for you.

THE EDGE OF A CLIFF

Today you may feel like you are being pushed right to the edge of a cliff, about to be thrown over. Your nerves are on edge and you feel like you are nearing rock bottom. And then there are other things: your marriage, your emotional life, pressures on your job, an addiction. You feel like crying, “God, is there any way out of this?”

Your bigger question is, “How do I get to the point of trust and belief where I need to be?”

THE ANSWER

The Word of God has the answer and here is a scripture for you to hold on to.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11, NLT).

THE EXAMPLE OF THE CHURCH
by David Wilkerson

Right now, the world needs a living example of the mercy of Christ. Tensions have never been greater. In Europe and the United States, racial tension is sweeping through society, even creeping into churches.

Do not be deluded into thinking that a government can take care of these problems. The costly mercy that’s needed throughout the world can come only from those who have tasted and received such mercy for themselves. And that is the calling of the Church of Jesus Christ. We are to offer a mercy that lays down self for the sake of a brother or sister — and, as Jesus demonstrated, even for an enemy.

STOP AND CONFRONT

I exhort you to stop here and confront this truth. Go no further in your life or ministry — stop all your plans and good works — until you confront the implications of being a member of Christ’s Body. The Lord declares of His Church, “This is My pearl of great price, the Bride for My Son.” Think of what a miracle this is! Think, too, of the great calling of this Body to show mercy to an unmerciful world.

Simply put, mercy looks beyond faults and failures, beyond self-justification. If we truly believed we wound Christ personally whenever we wound a brother or sister — that what we say and do against a single member of His Body is, as Jesus said, “against me” (see Luke 11:23) — we would work night and day to make everything right. And we would not stop until we were clear of it all.

WHAT HE DID FOR US
Gary Wilkerson

Jesus spent thirty-three years on Earth. Was that just so He could get old enough to die on a cross? Was it so He could have a few experiences to write about? No, of course not.

For thirty-three years Jesus did something that no one has ever been able to do. He took every rule, law and principle in the Bible, every thought that God had about what a righteous life would be like—holy and pure and totally obedient to God— and He fulfilled every single one of them.

That is why He was able to say, “I did not come to do away with the law, I came to fulfill the law” (see Matthew 5:17). What He is saying here is that He, and He alone, kept the law perfectly.

GOD’S PLEASURE

God said, “I take pleasure in Him because He perfectly kept every principle I’ve ever had for mankind. He fulfilled it all.”

Justification is not just that He cleansed you of your sin, He forgave your past, present, and future sin—but He imputed righteousness to you. In other words, He gave and He put upon you the righteousness that is His. At the cross He took your sin and pain and suffering—and did away with it.

And then He did something else that many Christians don’t realize. He took what He did on the cross and made it a final victory. When He said, “It is finished,” not only had He died for our sins but He had died for our righteousness. Now, even though we have no righteousness in ourselves, He gives us His righteousness.

This only if you believe, repent and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

THE POWER OF CONFIDENT SPEECH
Carter Conlon

In the last book of the Old Testament, the prophet Malachi spoke about something that had occurred and will happen again among God’s people in a season of spiritual decline. “Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another” (Malachi 3:16, NKJV). What were they speaking? Were they not speaking to each other before this moment in history? What was it about their speech that changed?

The Scriptures tell us that “anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, but a good word makes it glad” (Proverbs 12:25). It also says, “A word spoken in due season, how good it is” (Proverbs 15:23) and instructs us to let our speech “always be with grace, seasoned with salt” (Colossians 4:6).

There is incredible power in confident, calm speech. You and I must encourage one another now! We do not need the fire or the earthquake or the wind. Those things are wonderful, and if God should choose to do that, then so be it. But there is something more powerful than all those put together, particularly in this hour. It is that still, small voice of confidence in God. It is the voice that says, “All is well. God is in control of your situation, my sister, my brother. God is still on the throne. Jesus is still the victor, and we are still more than conquerors.”

You have no idea how much power God is willing to pour through your life as you walk through your day — in your neighborhood, your workplace, or your home — simply speaking words of confidence in the goodness and faithfulness of God. Let us open our hearts to the Lord and begin to speak to one another in those still, small voices. We will discover the incredible privilege of being an ambassador of the power of God to this generation.

THE REFRESHING SPRING
Gary Wilkerson

Early in His ministry, Jesus announced this about Himself:

“On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds” (John 7:37, NLT, emphasis mine).

Jesus didn’t just issue a statement—He shouted. And He waited until the biggest day of the festival to stand up and make His announcement:

“[He] shouted to the crowds, ‘Anyone who is thirsty may come to me! Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, “Rivers of living water will flow from his heart”’” (7:37-38).

BEATEN DOWN BY DEAD RELIGION

This was an act of compassion more than a theological statement. Dead religion had beaten down God’s people. That which should have refreshed them left them with no life whatsoever. Now Jesus announced, “I am your cup of cold water, the refreshing spring that never stops flowing. You can drink from Me to find your life renewed continually.” There are no qualifications needed to drink from this amazing wellspring. Christ assures us, “Anyone who believes in Me may come and drink!” (7:38).

THE REFRESH BUTTON

Friend, life in Christ is a refresh button like no other. When it gets pushed, the most stunted, despairing, dreary soul is renewed with the power of heaven. When Jesus says, “Rivers of living water will flow from My heart,” He is showing us what our lives will look like with a simple touch from Him. His Spirit so fills us that we overflow with abundant life, grace, mercy and love. His flow of life transforms everything.

As I have said many times, God never gives us a message without backing it up with His power. If He has called us to a life of abundant refreshment, then He will supply everything needed to make that happen.

Moravian Daily Texts

Tuesday, September 6 — Psalm 105:37–45
Judges 20:1–31; Luke 22:52–62

For a brief moment I abandoned you, but with great compassion I will gather you. Isaiah 54:7

God, who is rich in mercy, out of the great love with which he loved us even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ. Ephesians 2:4–5

(Prayer)
Loving God, we are afflicted with the human condition: what we shouldn’t do, we do anyway; what we know is right, we neglect. The weight of our sin is suffocating. Yet, you still love us. We acknowledge that your love is unmerited; that we are unworthy; and that your grace is a gift. We accept this gift with gladness and praise! Amen.

Jesus Said “Watch”
By Gene Lawley
He concluded that alert with this timing factor, “For you do not know when your Lord may return.” So what are we to watch for, or how are we to be watching?
He used those cautions in various parables that illustrate that stewardship of responsibilities is to be accountable to Him at His return.
Yet, there was no guideline as to how long He would be gone, and for centuries we have had resounding in our hearing, “no man knows the day or the hour” of His coming. Match this situation with the fact that God has made promises that would have to be fulfilled before He could come and wind up human history as we know it, and as prophecy brings to light. For example, the promise He would return the Jews to their promised land and make of them a new nation:
“’And I will sanctify My great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in their midst; and the nations shall know that I am the Lord,’ says the Lord God, ‘when I am hallowed in you before their eyes. For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land. Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols” (Ezekiel 36:23-25).
The beginning of that fulfillment was on May 14, 1948, despite the belief of many today who try to tell us that God reje3cted the Jews when they rejected Christ, and those promises now are for the church. Its called Replacement Theology and is an outright slap in the face of God and makes Him out to be a liar!
It looks like He has hallowed His holy name before that crowd also. A god who lies is no god at all, and if Numbers 23:19 is not true, then “We are, of all people, most miserable!” Remember this—memorize it and start every Bible question search with this truth in the front of your quest:
“God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent.
Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?”

In regard to the watching issue, it seems that the first time we are told what to watch for is in Luke 21:28:
“Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”
What are “these things?”
In the context before that alert, He described the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple that occurred in 70 AD and told of the inhabitants of Jerusalem and Israel being “led away captive into all nations, and [that] Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled” (verse 24). His prophecy leaps ahead, then, to the time when the age of the Gentiles begins to be fulfilled:
“And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory” (Luke 21:25-27).
This picture of Jesus coming in great power and glory seems to be pointing to His Second Coming when He comes to the earth where “earth dwellers” will see Him arrive. He says “they” will see Him, not those looking for Him as it will be for the Rapture that comes seven years earlier.
In verse 24 two events are referenced—the return of the Jews to Israel and the fulfilling of the times of the Gentiles. Earlier I quoted Luke 21:28 and asked, “What are those things that are to begin happening?”
The very next thing told is the parable of the fig tree. You may recall the time Jesus was passing by a fig tree on His way to the temple with the disciples and discovered the tree was all leaves and no fruit, and He cursed it (Mark 11:12-14). Immediately after, He entered the temple and drove out the money-changers and traders. A religion that bears no fruit, no positive eternal results, that was the picture that the disciples saw. The fig tree and the olive tree are used to illustrate Israel in scriptural comparisons.
This parable of the fig tree in Luke 21:29-33 relates to the blossoming of Israel again, just as Ezekiel 37 with the valley of dry bones taking on flesh and reviving again to become one people in one place instead of being scattered throughout all nations as their judgment has been:
Then He spoke to them a parable: ‘Look at the fig tree, and all the trees. When they are already budding, you see and know for yourselves that summer is now near. So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near.Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all things take place.Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away’” (Luke 21:29-33).
It is clearly this current generation now in the 21st century to which He is pointing toward, for that generation has passed away long ago. The “things” that are happening now, today, should also tell us that this generation, not the next one, will be the one to experience them. When He says, “…you see and know for yourselves,” it becomes a very personal and individual issue, not just “those other guys.”
Very appropriately, the next portion of that context, Luke 21:34-36, bears out the subject of this article—watch and be faithful and ready to stand without shame before the Son of Man:
“But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly, for it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

Default re: Power of Prayer >No Matter Which Faith You Follow=GOD is With You

“How to be worthy” apparently is a fearful thing for some folks, and I have wrestled much with that issue over these past sixty years as a believer in Christ. The truth is, as I have found out as I began to believe the Word of God that was right before my eyes, I never could have saved myself, so how in the world could I have kept myself saved? My own “works of righteousness” are identified by Scripture as “filthy rags,” and not good for anything. It is just as Paul told Titus:
“…Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life” (Titus 3:5-7).
Earlier Paul had told Titus the proper attitude for us to have in these uncertain last days, an attitude of hope and expectation of blessing and joy unspeakable:
“…We should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works” (Titus 2:12-14).
There are more events to watch for that will be physically evident, not to discount or ignore those geophysical tragedies that the globalists want to call “Man-made climate change events.” There will be a confirmation of a covenant that will promise Israel a seven-year period of peace and allow her to rebuild the temple and restore its religious practices (Daniel 9:27).
That verse also tells us that halfway through the seven years he will void the agreement, enter the temple and declare himself God. The New Testament Scriptures indicate that its signing, or an announcement for it to be signed, will trigger the Day of the Lord when “sudden de3struction” will envelope the whole earth. Paul wrote of this in 1 Thessalonians 5:2-3:
“For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night, for when they say, ‘Peace and safety!’ then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.”
This Scripture says the triggering event will be when “they” shall exclaim, “Peace and safety!” Thus, it could be an announcement of an agreement having been made and a date set, sooner than later, when the signing ceremony is to take place. The Day of the Lord is that period when the “time of Jacob’s trouble” begins and God deals again with Israel’s restoration and their eventual recognition of Jesus as their true Messiah (Zechariah 12:10).
The Body of Christ, the born-again church made up largely of those “taken out of the Gentiles for His name” will have been taken to heaven, as Paul revealed in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17. Quietly and without fanfare to the world, like a thief in the night, He will take away those whom He has purchased with His own blood—His purchased possessions—to be with Him forever!
In the secular, physical world we should be watching for and seeing the subtle but steady developments of that beast of Revelation 13 as its seventh head begins to form. It will be the seventh kingdom to rule the whole world, and some signs of its development are the efforts for a New World Order to emerge as the sovereignty of individual nations are destroyed. The capstone of that goal is the United States of America, and it is not hard to see how well the globalists in favor of this movement think they are doing when we consider President Obama’s statement on April 30 at the Annual Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington, D.C.—“The end of the Republic has never looked better!”

Jesus said in Luke 17:26 and following that when the coming of the Son of Man is upon us, people will be buying and selling, marrying and giving in marriage, building and planting. They will be unaware of what is hovering over the world, and those statements of Jesus indicates that the “sudden destruction” that the Rapture will bring will be the expected economic and financial collapse that is projected in news reports today.

At this point in the chronology, our “watching” will have been finished, for that Rapture event changes everything! However, Peter writes that some are not so sure and apparently will make themselves heard, fervently:
“…Scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, ‘Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation’” (2 Peter 3:3-4).
Really, we must ask, in defiance? Without a doubt, it is a time for Christians to reject that old scoffing rebuttal, “Where is the promise of His coming,” and be prepared with daily close accounts with the Lord. For are we not “looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ?”

YOUR PRESENT AFFLICTION
David Wilkerson

We simply cannot explain why many righteous people face insurmountable sufferings. Why do the difficulties increase for those who love God deeply?

“It’s all meant to teach patience.”

“It teaches God’s people to trust Him more.”

Really? Are those actual reasons or nothing more than clichés? Certainly such statements are empty of meaning to those who are enduring critical crises.

During a recent time of great personal testing, I asked the Lord, “If there are lessons I need to know from this present trial, please teach me.”

IT’S ALL ABOUT ETERNITY

The Spirit spoke clearly to my heart: “Your present affliction has nothing to do with chastening. In fact, it has nothing at all to do with this world. Your intense, long-lasting trial has to do with eternity. I am preparing you for your service and ministry in My Kingdom.”

Dear saint, I believe we are being weaned from everything that is of this world. The pains we are experiencing right now are awful birth pangs. God has allowed us to be so weakened of human strength that we will stop all our striving and let Him take us the rest of the way.

There is an old gospel song:

By and by, when the morning comes,
When all the saints of God are gathered home,
We will tell the story of how we've overcome,
And we'll understand it better by and by.

I have testified of God’s goodness throughout my lifetime. And in the new world to come, I’m going to tell my story all over heaven—the story of how real, near and merciful Jesus was to me in my worst times. Glory to God!

OUR HEAVENLY FATHER KNOWS
David Wilkerson

“Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek)” (Matthew 6:31-32).

Jesus is warning about the heathen tendency to worry, and His words touch my soul. He tells us that worry—over our job, our family, our survival—is a heathen’s way of living.

A BAD ATTITUDE

Worry is the attitude of those who have no heavenly Father. They do not know God as He desires to be known: as a caring, providing, loving Father in heaven.

To all who believe, it is not enough to know God only as the Almighty, the Creator, Lord of all. He also wants us to know Him as our heavenly Father.

“For your heavenly Father knoweth that you have need of all these things” (6:32).

“Take therefore no thought for tomorrow” (6:34).

A RIGHT ATTITUDE

With these plain words, Jesus commands us: “Do not give a thought, a single worry, to what might or might not happen tomorrow. You can’t change anything. And you can’t help by worrying. When you do so, you’re only doing as the heathen do.”

Jesus then says, “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (6:33). In other words, we are to go on loving Jesus. We are to move on, casting all our cares on Him. And we are to rest in His faithfulness. Our heavenly Father will see to it that we are supplied with all the essential things of life.

Default re: Power of Prayer >No Matter Which Faith You Follow=GOD is With You

JESUS CHRIST IS IMMINENTLY PICKING HIS BRIDE!!!!!

HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD:Through Repentance in the name of the LORD Jesus Christ, and thereby living in Truth; Righteousness; Holiness and complete Surrender to The LORD Jesus Christ. And living day by day while watching and waiting for the imminent return of the LORD Jesus Christ, the darling of heaven: That is the bride of Christ that Jesus Christ is coming to snatch and rescue to heaven.

UNDERSTANDING THE OPENING OF THE SEALS AND ALSO THE TRUMPETS & THE BOWLS OF THE WRATH OF GOD; IN RELATION TO THE RAPTURE OF THE BRIDE OF CHRIST AND THE GREAT TRIBULATION PERIOD:

When The Seals (of the Book of Revelation) are Opened, they are essentially a Wake-up Call to each and every human being on the earth (Including the Church) to get Right (Righteousness) with (before) The LORD and to Prepare the Way for the Rapture of the Bride of Christ. For behold, it marks the Beginning of Birth Pains (Sorrows/Distress of the Hour) upon the Earth. So don't assume that all the Seals are to be Opened after the Rapture of The Bride of Christ. Actually, almost all of them are actually Opened before the Rapture of the Bride of Christ.

The Trumpets & the Bowls of Wrath, on the other hand are Judgements of The LORD; The Wrath of God upon the Earth. Therefore, The Bride of Christ is meant to be on the earth when most of the Seals are being Opened; for most of the Seals are meant for a Wake-up Call, hence Preparation for the Rapture of the Bride of Christ. The Trumpets & the Bowls of Wrath on the other hand will not find The Bride of Christ on the earth.

The Bride of Christ is not meant for Wrath, that’s why The LORD takes her to safety in Heaven (To be in her Heavenly Mansions/Rooms/Chambers). She is taken to Heaven first, before The LORD releases and allows His Wrath upon the Earth. However, before she is taken to Heaven, she sees most of the Seals Being Opened. It is written in the Book of Isaiah 26:20-21 as follows: ‘“Go, my people, enter your rooms and shut the doors behind you; hide yourselves for a little while until his wrath has passed by. See, the Lord is coming out of his dwelling to punish the people of the earth for their sins. The earth will disclose the blood shed on it; the earth will conceal its slain no longer.”’

Remember, it is also written as follows in the Book of 1st Thessalonians 5:9 which states as follows: ‘“For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.”’

The Seals are generally meant to Wake-up the People and the Nations of the earth. The 7 Trumpets and the 7 Bowls are The Wrath of God. The 7 Trumpets are the beginning of the Wrath of God, and the 7 Bowls Complete the Wrath of God upon the Earth. This is captured in the Book of Revelation 8: 1-2 which is written as follows ‘“When He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and to them were given seven trumpets.”’ This is furthermore captured as follows in the Book of Revelation 15: 1 which is written as follows: ‘“Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous: seven angels having the seven last plagues, for in them the wrath of God is complete.”’

The First 5 Seals of the 7 Seals have already been Opened. The next one on the line to be Opened will be the Sixth Seal. Once a Seal is opened, it operates at the same time as the other earlier opened Seals, and thereby causing an increasingly significant complex ongoing Distress and Birth Pains upon the Earth. In other words, they are both “Past Tense” and “Present Tense” at the same time.

The Rapture of The Bride of Christ occurs before the onset of The Great Tribulation Period.

Note that, the Opening of the Seventh Seal will signify the start of The Great Tribulation Period, when The Seven Trumpets of Judgments (Wrath) of The LORD will be unleashed on the earth One by One, at different but close enough times during the Great Tribulation Period. This will be followed shortly thereafter, by the Bowls of the Wrath of God; which essentially are a continuation of The Judgements (Wrath) of The LORD upon the earth, but to a Greater degree and intensity----The Bowls actually Complete the Cycle of the Wrath of God upon the Earth. The LORD Jesus Christ will then return to the Earth shortly thereafter, together with the Holy Saints (which include the Bride of Christ), to establish His Millennium (1,000 Years) reign upon the earth. He will be based in Jerusalem; for He has chosen Jerusalem as His City and Capital.

It is very important to note that the Opening of the First Seal (The release of the White horse and the Rider of the White horse) signified and signifies the onset of Deception and Apostasy (The Fall) in the Church, in this dispensation; the embrace of Homosexuality right in the Church (without calling it a Sin), “Prosperity” Gospel of compromise, The Rise of Chrislam (Christianity and Islam coming together, and indeed other religions like Hinduism, Buddhism e.t.c; to “Worship” together), the rise of The Red Dragon (The False Prophet) onto a Religious Authority. The rise of False Pastors (False Teachers) preaching a polluted, a defiled and a compromised kind of Gospel meant to deceive and entertain the itching ears, the roaming eyes and the itching flesh.

The Opening of the Second Seal (The release of the Red horse and the Rider of the Red horse) signified and signifies War and Bloodshed upon the earth. The Syria War, The Libya War, The rise of I.S.I.S, The rise of Boko Haram in Nigeria, The Rise of Al Shabaab in Somalia, The Russian-Ukrainian War over Crimea region E.T.C. Leading even to Migration Refugee Crisis in Europe e.t.c.

The Opening of the Third Seal (The release of the Black horse and the Rider of the Black horse) signified and signifies a Global Financial & Economic Crisis, and Famine. The Global Financial Crisis of 2008, Oil price War leading to Crisis in countries like Venezuela, Nigeria and other Oil Producing Countries. Historic Famine crisis in various countries and regions of the earth, including Ethiopia and South Sudan. The Greece Financial crisis that shook the European Union, The BREXIT that has left a hollow in the European Union. E.T.C.

The Opening of the Fourth Seal (The release of the Pale horse and the Rider of the Pale horse) signified and signifies Death upon the earth through various Distresses
, Including Terrorist Attacks by Al-Qaeda, I.S.I.S, Al-Shabaab etc. Also including Plagues (Mysterious Disease Outbreaks); Zika Virus, Ebola. E.T.C.

The Opening of the Fifth Seal signified and signifies Martyrdom. This has already started to take shape, especially the Slaughter (The Throat Slaughter) by I.S.I.S of Blind-folded and Paraded Believers in The LORD Jesus Christ, particularly in the Middle East (Iraq, Syria, Libya e.t.c). Also the sporadic and spontaneous Terrorist attacks by Al-Shabaab on believers in The LORD Jesus Christ, in Churches, Buses e.t.c in the nation of Kenya.

The Sixth Seal will be Opened very soon: Watch out for Historic Mega Earthquake (s) upon the earth, Watch out for Cosmic (Stellar, Astronomical, Planetary, Solar) Disturbance upon the Sky; leading to Historic Meteor showers upon the earth, Asteroids hitting the earth, Darkness upon the Earth. Watch out for Tectonic Plate movement of the Continents. Watch out for Polar Shifts. The GPS System and the Electromagnetic Communication systems will be affected, leading to a Global Electric Shock.

Just Watch and be Ready; for the Coming of The LORD Jesus Christ.

That means that everyone everywhere on the earth, needs to Seek The LORD and Pray & Plead for Mercy before The LORD, as they embrace Repentance for the forgiveness of their Sins through The Blood of The LORD Jesus Christ, and thereby walk in Righteousness, Holiness, Truth and Complete Surrender to The LORD Jesus Christ; in Preparing The Way for The Coming of The LORD Jesus Christ to Rapture (Sudden Take up into the Sky) His Bride (The Bride of Christ; The Faithful Sons and Daughters of The LORD) to Heaven.

The Messiah Jesus Christ is Coming to Rapture His Bride into Heaven, Let us Prepare The Way for the Coming of The LORD.

SHALOM!!! SHALOM!!! SHALOM!!!

Mathew 24: 42 ‘“Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.”’

Mathew 24: 44
‘“Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”’

2nd Timothy 4: 3-5 ‘“ For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.”’

2nd Timothy 3: 1-5 ‘“But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!”’

Revelation 6: 1-17 ‘“I watched as the Lamb opened the first of the seven seals. Then I heard one of the four living creatures say in a voice like thunder, “Come!” I looked, and there before me was a white horse! Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest. When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, “Come!” Then another horse came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make people kill each other. To him was given a large sword. When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come!” I looked, and there before me was a black horse! Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand. Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, “Two pounds of wheat for a day’s wages, and six pounds of barley for a day’s wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!” When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, “Come!” I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth. When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained. They called out in a loud voice, “How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?” Then each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to wait a little longer, until the full number of their fellow servants, their brothers and sisters, were killed just as they had been. I watched as he opened the sixth seal. There was a great earthquake. The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red, and the stars in the sky fell to earth, as figs drop from a fig tree when shaken by a strong wind. The heavens receded like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place. Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and everyone else, both slave and free, hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains. They called to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can withstand it?”’

PREPARE THE WAY FOR THE COMING OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST IN ABSOLUTE REPENTANCE, RIGHTEOUSNESS, HOLINESS, TRUTH AND COMPLETE SURRENDER TO THE LORD JESUS CHRIST (YESHUA/YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH). TIME IS ABSOLUTELY OVER; THE MESSIAH JESUS CHRIST IS IMMINENTLY COMING TO PICK HIS BRIDE!!!

REPENTANCE PRAYER:

Precious Jesus,

I acknowledge today that you are LORD and Savior of all mankind,

and today I have recognized my shortfall,

I Repent and turn away from all Sin.

Please cover me with your Precious Blood,

and establish your Word in my life,

that I may be found in Righteousness and Holiness

and write my name in your Book of Life

and baptize me with the power of the Holy Spirit

in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

AMEN.

Your Brother in Christ Jesus, and a Shepherd of The LORD,

Kevin Mirasi

TRUST IN HIM
David Wilkerson

I wonder if the angels are baffled by all the worry and anxiousness of those who claim to trust in the Lord. To those celestial beings, it must seem insulting to God that we worry as if we had no caring Father in heaven.

What perplexing questions the angels must ask among themselves:

“Do they not believe the One who loves them? Did He not tell them He knows about all their needs? Do they not know the Father sends us to take charge of them in times of danger? Do they not believe that He who feeds the birds, the fish, the whole animal kingdom will feed and clothe them? How can they fret and worry when they know God possesses all power, all wealth, and can supply the needs of all creation? How can they accuse Him of neglect, as if He isn’t true to His Word?”

The birds sing, while we complain and speak of fear and anxiety. The lilies of the field stand tall in their glory, while we wilt and bend before the smallest wind of adversity.

The following poem puts it succinctly:

The very birds reprove thee with all their happy song;

the very flowers teach thee that fretting is a wrong.

“Cheer up,” the sparrow chirpeth. “Thy Father feedeth me;

think how much He careth, oh lovely child, for thee.”

“Fear not,” the flowers whisper, “since thus He hath arrayed

the buttercup and daisy. How canst thou be afraid?”

Then don’t you trouble trouble, till trouble troubles you.

You’ll only double trouble, and trouble others too.

THE SPIRITUAL ROCK
Gary Wilkerson

“The Lord said to Moses, ‘Walk out in front of the people. Take your staff, the one you used when you struck the water of the Nile, and call some of the elders of Israel to join you. I will stand before you on the rock at Mount Sinai. Strike the rock, and water will come gushing out. Then the people will be able to drink.’ So Moses struck the rock as he was told, and water gushed out as the elders looked on” (Exodus 17:5-6, NLT).

The details of this scene — and of God’s compassion for the people — are replayed through Jesus’ sacrifice. Christ is the rock that was struck for our transgressions when we were lost and wandering. And He is the living water that sustains us. Paul tells us:

“I don’t want you to forget, dear brothers and sisters, about our ancestors in the wilderness long ago. . . . For they drank from the spiritual rock that traveled with them, and that rock was Christ” (1 Corinthians 10:1, 4).

HOLDING ON TO BITTERNESS

The scene in the wilderness demonstrates what Jesus does for grumbling people: He takes on their punishment and declares, “I’ll stand condemned for them; I’ll be scourged; I’ll take their sins upon my back; I’ll be nailed to the cross in their place — all so that they might receive abundant life.”

Some Christians forfeit this awesome gift by holding on to bitterness. Paul says, “Yet God was not pleased with most of them, and their bodies were scattered in the wilderness. These things happened as a warning to us” (1 Corinthians 10:5-6).

GOD’S BEAUTIFUL GRACE

Our lives can wither away in bitterness, or we can be revived by the beautiful grace God offers us — it’s our choice.

PREPARING FOR THE END TIMES
David Wilkerson

As Christians, we believe God’s Word about the times to come and we receive Spirit-directed warnings from God’s holy watchmen. Indeed, we see the handwriting on the wall.

An important question arises for many Christians today: “How do we prepare for the tumultuous events to come?”

SURVIVING FRIGHTFUL TIMES

I think it is normal to want to know how we’ll survive the frightful times to come. When the storm hits, destroying all roots of recovery, what will we do about jobs, housing, food, clothing?

Believers in Peter’s day most certainly had questions, as well. In his message about the end times, he focuses not on having our needs met but on the importance of preparing our hearts.

“Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness?” (2 Peter 3:11).

In the face of all that is to come, Peter zeros in on character issues!

The apostle is asking us, in essence, “What is in your heart in these last days? Who are you becoming as the end times approach? You already know God will take care of your physical needs but are you preparing yourself spiritually?”

BASIC INSTRUCTIONS

Peter echoes Jesus’ words (see Matthew 6:31-32) when he says, “The end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer” (1 Peter 4:7).

In short, he is giving us basic instructions for preparing for the end times:

  • Be sober-minded.
  • Stay calm, no matter what happens.
  • There is no need to panic.
  • Take it all to prayer.

DO YOU WANT TO BE READY?
David Wilkerson

Peter was surely a godly man, and through him the Holy Spirit shows us exactly what God says about how to face these last days. Peter is telling us very clearly, “Here is your most important preparation: Get your heart ready. If this matter isn’t dealt with, all other preparations are in vain. Stay on your knees. And above all else, practice unceasing mercy and love toward your brothers and sisters. Forgive and cover their sins.”

COVER THE SINS OF OTHERS

We are commanded to “cover” those sins committed against us — meaning, we are not to expose the sins of others.

“Charity shall cover the multitude of sins” (1 Peter 4:8).

Who has hurt or wounded you? (Your Dad, Mom, Brother, Sister, Friend or Neighbor?) Who has spread gossip about you? According to Jesus, if you do not forgive and cover that sin, you are like the man who was forgiven a great debt but later choked a man who owed him a few dollars.

“As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God” (4:10).

FILLED WITH JOY DURING TURMOIL

The truth is, Peter’s message here has everything to do with the future of the Church of Jesus Christ. You see, God is preparing His Church for a latter-day outpouring of His Spirit. According to the prophets, the Holy Spirit will come in a great wave upon the earth, filling God’s people with joy when the world is in upheaval. This won’t happen, however, where people hold grudges and wounds are left unresolved.

THE QUESTION: Do you want to be ready for what’s coming? Do you want to be fully prepared when all things are being shaken?

THE ANSWER: Then make sure you have nothing in your heart that hinders the flow of God’s Spirit.

Something wonderful is just ahead so make sure you are not left out of it!

REFRESHING, LIVING WATER
Gary Wilkerson

How does God’s refreshing affect our lives in practical ways?

REFRESHING OF OUR CIRCUMSTANCES

When God refreshes our circumstances, He changes old patterns that may involve our marriage, our finances, our work. He may expose unhealthy spending patterns and convict us to change them. He may even lead us to seek financial counseling that can help us replace bad patterns and teach us to be wise stewards.

He may want to disrupt old patterns in our marriage, patterns that keep us stuck in unloving ways. Our Father is ready to refresh us with abundant grace every time we need it. This kind of refreshing deals with our circumstances.

CORE REFRESHING

Then we have core refreshing — refreshing that goes beyond our circumstances to renew our souls, our lives, our inner being. This kind of refreshing flows not just into us but out of us. It fills us with joy for our marriage; for tithing and giving freely; for facing difficult relationships with hope and courage and energy.

In short, core refreshing causes us to anticipate every moment of life with Jesus. It stirs in us a heart that says, “I’m fully alive, not dreading the day. I’m thrilled to follow You, Jesus. You have made me bold, not fearful. Let me use this vast overflow of life for You!”

BRING IT ALL TO HIM

What is flowing out of you right now? Unbelief, grumbling, fear? Or faith, hope and love? Just as He did at the festival in Jerusalem, Jesus shouts to you to bring Him your unbelief, your bitterness, and your fear. He wants to replace it with contentment and contagiousness, to move you from emptiness to fullness.

He has promised, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me! Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart’” (John 7:37-38, NLT).

Install LOVE on the HUMAN Computer

Customer: I really need some help. After much consideration, I've decided to install LOVE. Can you guide me through the process?

Tech Support: Yes, I can help you. Are you ready to proceed?

Install Love on the Human Computer

Customer: Well, I'm not very technical, but I think I'm ready to install it now. What do I do?

Tech Support: The first step is to open your HEART. Have you located your HEART?

Customer: Yes, I have, but there are several other programs running right now. Is it okay to install while they are running?

Tech Support: What programs are running?

Customer: Let's see... I have PAST-HURT.EXE, LOW-ESTEEM.EXE, GRUDGE.EXE, and RESENTMENT.EXE running now.

Tech Support: No problem. LOVE will gradually erase PAST-HURT.EXE from your current operating system. It may remain in your permanent memory, but it will no longer disrupt other programs. LOVE will eventually overwrite LOW-ESTEEM.EXE with a module of its own called HIGH-ESTEEM.EXE. However, you have to completely turn off GRUDGE.EXE and RESENTMENT.EXE. Those programs prevent LOVE from being properly installed. Can you turn those off?

Customer: I don't know how to turn them off. Can you tell me how?

Tech Support: My pleasure. Go to your Start menu and invoke FORGIVENESS.EXE. Do this as many times as necessary until it's erased the programs you don't want.

Customer: Okay, now LOVE has started installing itself automatically. Is that normal?

Tech Support: Yes. You should receive a message that says it will stay installed for the life of your HEART. Do you see that message?

Customer: Yes, I do. Is it completely installed?

Tech Support: Yes, but remember that you have only the base program. You need to begin connecting to other HEARTs in order to get the upgrades.

Customer: Oops. I have an error message already. What should I do?

Tech Support: What does the message say?

Customer: It says, "ERROR 412-PROGRAM NOT RUN ON INTERNAL COMPONENTS." What does that mean?

Tech Support: Don't worry, that's a common problem. It means that the LOVE program is set up to run on external HEARTs but has not yet been run on your HEART. It is one of those complicated programming things, but in non-technical terms it means you have to "LOVE" your own machine before it can "LOVE" others.

Customer: So what should I do?

Tech Support: Can you pull down the directory called "SELF-ACCEPTANCE"?

Customer: Yes, I have it.

Tech Support: Excellent. You're getting good at this. Now, click on the following files and then copy them to the "MYHEART" directory: FORGIVE-SELF.DOC, REALIZE-WORTH.TXT, and ACKNOWLEDGE-LIMITATIONS.DOC. The system will overwrite any conflicting files and begin patching any faulty programming. Also, you need to delete SELF-CRITICISM.EXE from all directories, and then empty your recycle bin afterwards to make sure it is completely gone and never comes back.

Customer: Got it. Hey! My HEART is filling up with new files. SMILE.MP3 is playing on my monitor right now and it shows that PEACE.EXE, and CONTENTMENT.EXE are copying themselves all over my HEART. Is this normal?

Tech Support: Sometimes. For others it takes a while, but eventually everything gets downloaded at the proper time. So, LOVE is installed and running. You should be able to handle it from here. Ah, one more thing.

Customer: Yes?

Tech Support: LOVE is freeware. Be sure to give it and its various modules to everybody you meet. They will in turn share it with other people and they will return some similarly cool modules back to you.

Customer: I will! Thanks for your help!

Prophetic Events are Happening Everywhere Worldwide! (Jason A Video)

YouTuber Jason A, in the video below, reveals yet another chilling look at news that is taking place around us, some of you may not even know is happening. Everywhere you look worldwide, it seems humanity is slipping into dark times, largely by our own doing.

In America, everything this country was founded on, things like personal freedom, national sovereignty, and a Constitution our Second President John Adams said was only fit for a moral and religious people, are being trampled by a corrupt and self-serving political class and economic elite.

What is being made room for while all that is best parts of the country are pushed out? It’s hard to say precisely “what,” but “who” is doing is not that hard to come to a pretty good conclusion. There’s a better than average chance that what we’re seeing is the work of the New World Order… folks like George Soros and his merry band of humanity hating Luciferian friends.

Stay vigilant my friends. Be prepared for anything!

RESTING IN THE FATHER’S LOVE
David Wilkerson

For years, I have been faithfully warning of a soon-to-come worldwide economic holocaust. Even now, we are seeing this coming to pass around the globe. I have warned that Christians are going to suffer, that there will be great loss and hardship, and already this is happening. Multitudes of precious saints all over the word are enduring great financial and mental stress.

LIFESTYLE CHANGES

As awful as these things are, none of them should be the focus of our energies and ministry. Rather, we must continue proclaiming the love of God the Father and the tender mercy of our Savior.

I know the American lifestyle — indeed, the lifestyles of those in every prosperous nation — are about to change permanently. I know everything is reeling and shaking. But when I get up in the morning, I don’t worry, “What are we going to eat? What are we going to wear? What about heat, light, security?” Jesus warned us not to do that.

PERFECT PEACE

I rest in my Father’s love. The fact is, I know that I am not God and He alone is in control of all these things. I simply do what the prophet Isaiah did: He put his mind to rest by fully trusting in his Lord.

“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee” (Isaiah 26:3).

Isaiah the prophet declared this truth to believers in every age — and God cannot lie!

FIX YOUR THOUGHTS ON JESUS
David Wilkerson

Scripture makes it clear that we are to heed every prophetic message delivered by godly men and confirmed in Scripture. We are to gather all the knowledge we can about the oncoming storms so that we can prepare our hearts for whatever we will face.

But we are not to let fear or anxiety consume our thinking or take hold of our hearts. Darkness is certainly coming and judgment is at our very door. But as God’s people, we cannot allow any cloud of darkness to hide the great light of His promises of love and mercy toward His people.

DON’T LET SATAN STEAL YOUR HOPE

We must be well informed by God’s Word and His prophets, but we are not to dwell on prophetic knowledge so much that it takes over our lives. The devil would love for this to happen. He knows he can’t get us to doubt the Lord’s Word concerning judgment, so he will attempt to take us to another extreme and drive us to a fearful obsession with perilous times.

Simply put, Satan wants to rob us of all hope by consuming us with foreboding thoughts. But we cannot figure out the future through being totally preoccupied with it. In reality, we can get bogged down in fear and obsessing about frightful events.

FIX YOUR THOUGHTS ON JESUS

The apostle Paul reassures us with this instruction:

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things” (Philippians 4:8, my emphasis).

In other words: “You have heard all the warnings. Now, take heed to what God’s Word reveals and to what His watchmen are saying. And, finally, fix your thoughts on Jesus and His goodness.”

A WORD OF HOPE
David Wilkerson

For many months, I searched and studied the Scriptures, pleading with the Lord to give me a message of hope and encouragement for these hard times. My spirit cried out, “Lord, please speak a word to my heart for Your children, for You alone have the words of eternal life. Only You can speak a word of comfort to us in such times.”

The Holy Spirit answered my prayer, speaking the following to my heart:

“I am going to give you a single promise from my Word. And if you will commit your very life to it, this word will keep you through any and all perilous times.”

EMBRACE THE TRUTH

Beloved, I know if we will especially embrace this one verse, fully believing it, it will be a daily power-source of faith. Here is the promise the Spirit showed me:

“YOUR FATHER KNOWETH WHAT THINGS YE HAVE NEED OF, BEFORE YE ASK HIM” (Matthew 6:8).

In Luke 12, Jesus enumerates the things He says our heavenly Father knows we need. In short, those needs are: food, drink and clothing.

“Therefore, I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. . . . If then God so clothe the grass, which is today in the field, and tomorrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?” (Luke 12:22, 28).

Monday, October 3 — Psalm 115:9–18
1 Samuel 23; John 5:1–15

Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you. Psalm 55:22

Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6

Sustainer, today we cling to the everlasting hope found in you. Whatever may come our way, we will boldly profess that we serve a God who provides exceedingly and abundantly, above all that we could ever hope for or imagine. Amen.

HE CARES FOR YOU
David Wilkerson

The Lord says to the rich and poor alike, “Don’t fret about your worldly possessions. Give Me quality time and trust Me. I am going to take care of all your future needs and supply all the essentials you need to get by.”

This is one lesson every believer must learn and practice.

At this moment, world events are moving so fast that nobody can keep up with them. Violence is all around us and moral barriers have broken down. The implications of current events are too deep and complex to fathom.

LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS
Our faith is anchored in this: Our heavenly Father knows us — He knows exactly what we need and when we need it — and the very fact that He knows is proof enough that we are under His care. He delights in us, and we are snuggled in His bosom, safe and sound.

Daniel said of the Lord:

“He knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him” (Daniel 2:22).

God knows all about the dark days ahead and He knows that even this darkness cannot obscure His face from us.

TRUST HIS GREAT LOVE

Indeed, our clear path through hard times will be found only in trusting the Lord. He is calling us today to have a simple, childlike trust in His faithfulness.

Let us all keep our eyes on Jesus! Let us trust His great love and care for us. “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you” (1 Peter 5:7).

Read slowly and let it sink in......

A WORD OF ASSURANCE
David Wilkerson

I believe that through all the churning and chaotic events going on in the world today, God is bringing down greed, covetousness, and pride. I’m convinced He could no longer permit sexual perversions to destroy the soul of an entire generation. And I believe same-sex marriages have become a flash point of God’s vengeance.

Isaiah describes a period in history that was full of weeping, fear and trembling. Yet the Lord gave Isaiah a word of assurance for His people:

“Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees. Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompense; he will come and save you” (Isaiah 35:3-4, my italics).

The Lord was saying, in essence: “Strengthen the exhausted. Build up those who are weak among you. Encourage all who are afraid and full of anxiety. Tell them, ‘There is no need to be fearful. This is all the Lord’s doing. And through it all, He is going to preserve His people. He is doing this to save you.’”

EVEN THE GODLY TREMBLE

Beloved, even the most godly among us experience a trembling of heart, a sudden rush of fear, when a terrible crisis comes. At such times, it is not a sin to have a moment of deep anxiety.

Indeed, when the Lord gave this word to Isaiah, He was making sure that all who felt overwhelmed by the terrifying situation would not be crushed by it. He wanted every weary, troubled heart to hear: “Fear not! Take courage, for the Lord is a Savior to His people.”

2016 Election Prayer Moreover you shall select from all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them to be rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens. And let them judge the people at all times. (Exodus 18:21-22a)

The major issue in this presidential election is that the new president could nominate up to four justices on the U.S. Supreme Court. With the death of the Associate Justice Antonin Scalia, the court lost it conservative balance and now lacks the strength to rule on major cases and to overturn bad rulings from the lower courts.

Long forgotten are William Blackstone's Commentaries, the law books on which our Founding Fathers were weaned. Blackstone boldly affirmed that God's law supersedes all human law. But the modern Court does not consider God, and has all but forgotten the U.S. Constitution, having arrogated to itself power to rewrite and create laws. Thus the court outlawed teacher-led prayer and Bible reading in our public schools (1962-3); the posting of the Ten Commandments (1968); created an unlimited right to abortion (1973); declared homosexual acts a Constitutional right (2003); and redefined marriage to include same-sex partners (2015). These rulings and those that will be made by the court appointed by the next president will rule over the people for a generation or more.

Christians and thinking Americans who are considering not voting because they dislike the personalities of both leading presidential candidates must take their eyes off personalities and look at what kind of personnel and policies each will foster -- especially what kind of judges they will appoint to the U.S. Supreme Court!

Prayer
  • Heavenly Father, you gave the ancient Jews the ability to choose their judges. They chose to give up their liberty and demanded a king. Despite flawed candidates, the American people's choice is between liberty, as we have known it, and a Court that knows neither the anchor of Your word nor the compass of the Constitution. Have mercy and help us to choose the president who will appoint god-fearing justices who will rule according to the Constitution as our forefathers intended. Have mercy upon our children and help us to choose the candidate who will respect and defend our religious liberty in law. May Your people labor to persuade our fellow countrymen to do likewise (see Ex 18:21; Dt 1:16-18; 1 Sam 8:5-22; 2 Sam 23:3-4; Pr 21:3-4; Is 9:7; 59:14-15; Acts 12:24; Php 1:15-19).

THE TEACHING MINISTRY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
Jim Cymbala

Just like any minister today, Jesus preached using only His voice. And just like any congregation today hearing a sermon, the disciples could hear His words only with their ears and process them with their minds. But the truth of God is different from mathematics or the laws of science. It can be understood and appropriated into our lives only when it is revealed to our innermost being: that is where its life-changing power works (see Matthew 13:18-23).

MERE FACTS IN OUR BRAIN CELLS

A divine book must have a divine teacher so that its message can be revealed on a spiritual level. Otherwise the message just crumbles into facts that reside only in our brain cells. That Jesus was born in Bethlehem is a fact. Understanding the glorious meaning of Immanuel, God with us, and the significance of His lying in a stable requires divine teaching. So it is absolutely necessary for the Holy Spirit to be our teacher if the Bible is to be truly understood. The Spirit can overcome the human limitations of voice, ear, and brain because He teaches in the classroom of the heart.

WHAMMO! IT COMES ALIVE

That is why we can read a portion of Scripture for years and then when we read it again, Whammo, it comes alive! We understand it in a brand-new way. We ask, Why didn’t I see that before? That is the teaching ministry of the Holy Spirit.

Of course, teachers play an important role, as do apostles, evangelists, prophets and pastors. But even when teachers do their best, the only way for us to be ultimately blessed by the Word is through the inner teaching of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit is faithful to help us know truth from error and keep us from satanic distortions. But for all of that to happen, we must come with humble, teachable hearts.

I read an article the other day that said the heart was much like our brain, that it had neurons just like our brain. Thus the ole phrase " think with your heart and not your brain." This is what we must listen to the Holy Spirit with, our hearts not our brains.

FIGHT FOR YOUR FAITH
David Wilkerson

A time comes when all weeping must end. It is then that God’s people rise above their grieving, above every dire foreboding, and get back their fight.

In the New Testament, Hebrews echoes Isaiah’s words:

“Strengthen the hands that are weak and the knees that are feeble, and make straight paths for your feet, so that the limb which is lame may not be put out of joint, but rather be healed” (Hebrews 12:12–13, NASB).

The meaning here is, in effect: “Don’t stay down. Get up and fight for your faith. Don’t give in to sore, trembling knees; instead, keep running. If you succumb to fear and worry, your faith may end up crippled.”

After enduring a period of weeping, there comes a time to fight!

CASTING BLAME

Consider the crippling response of David’s army to their calamity at Ziklag. After these mighty men had finished weeping, they grew outraged and blamed David for having allowed the disaster. They were so embittered by their horrible misfortune that they began picking up stones to kill him (read the account in 1 Samuel 30:1-6).

In my opinion, this is exactly what the majority of people are doing right now over the current state of affairs in the world. They’re turning left and right, asking, “Who is to blame for this calamity? Everything is a mess.”

LET IT GO — AND FIGHT

I urge every follower of Jesus: Forget about how we got here. Forget about who is responsible. Most of all, forget about your own personal “what-ifs” — “If only I had done this or that, my finances would be okay, my life would be better.” If you hang on to such thoughts, your fear will turn into rage or some other crippling, destructive spirit. The Lord intends a different direction for all your energies. His Word tells us, “Now is the time to fight for your faith!”

Overcoming The Curse Of Words How can you learn to bless others with your words? When we speak the truth of God's Word into people's lives, we bless them.

The curse of words includes words spoken by others (or even by yourself) that are intended to inflict harm or damage, to belittle you, or to wish you evil.

Consider the example of David, cursed and belittled by Shimei, in 2 Samuel 16. Shimei falsely accused David, attributing David's circumstances and the loss of his kingdom to God's judgment for alleged past sins against the house of Saul. Shimei's words hurt!

What are the words that have been spoken to you that have wounded or “cursed” you, undeservedly? “You're so clumsy... You'll never amount to anything... You'll never change... You're going to be just like your mother... You'll never find anyone to love you... I wish you were dead... I wish you'd never been born... You always... You never...” etc.

Being a child of God doesn't make you immune to others' cursing. The key is how you respond to these wounds. There are two possible responses:
  1. Abishai, David's bodyguard and nephew, wanted to attack—to give a curse back (v. 9).
  2. David, rather than defending himself or reacting violently, restrained himself. He recognized the sovereignty of God, responded humbly, and received Shimei's curse as from the Lord (vv. 10-12).
How will you respond?

How to Overcome or Break Free from the Curse of Words in Your Life

1. Realize [remember] the blessing of God
  • No one can curse you apart from God's permission (Num. 22:12, 38; 23: 8, 20, 23).
  • If you are a child of God, you are blessed, in spite of (or regardless of) what others do to you.
  • The blessing of God is more powerful than any human curse.
  • Through the cross of Christ, God has made provision to set you free from every curse. No curse of words has to control your life any longer.
  • God protects and vindicates the righteous. Those who live godly lives do not have to worry about curses coming to rest upon them.
2. Review the curse
  • What is the source of the words?
  • As you review the words others have said to you in light of the Word of God, ask: “Is this true? Does it agree with what God says?”
3. Reject any words that are not true
  • Curses only have power over us if we believe them. If they're not true, they are powerless (Prov. 26:2). When we believe them, we invest power in them.
  • Make a choice to reject words that do not line up with God's Word.
4. Renew your mind
  • Children may not know the truth, but adults are responsible to learn the truth.
  • Saturate your heart and mind with the Truth of God's Word (Phil. 4:8-9). Replace lies with Truth.

5. Receive God's blessing
  • Even when you cannot “feel” God's blessing, you can receive it by faith.
  • After you have received God's blessing, you are free to bless others. (Jacob's example: Gen. 48-49)
6. Release those who have cursed you
  • We release others through forgiveness.
  • Forgiving others frees us to live victoriously in God's blessing.
7. Repent of any cursing you have done to others
  • Christians' words should only be a source of blessing (James 3:8-11; 4:11).
  • Speaking evil of believers is a characteristic of non-believers (1 Pet. 2:12; 3:16).
  • Be careful about the impact of your words as a parent or with your spouse.
  • Don't be careless with words. Refrain from jesting, teasing, criticisms or constant “evaluations” that leave their mark. Don't make snap judgments or jump to conclusions—be “slow to speak” (James 1:19).
  • Be careful how you speak to children in public.
  • Be careful how you speak about parents (Prov. 30:11; 20:20), in-laws, pastors, employers, teachers, Christian workers and church members, friends and neighbors, even your “enemies.”
8. Refuse to return cursing for cursing
  • Only return blessing for cursing (Rom. 12:14, 17-21).
  • The biblical principle is, you will reap what you sow (Gal. 6:7). If you bless others, you will be blessed. If you curse them, you will be cursed.
9. Resolve to speak blessing
  • Speak blessings to others. Be proactive. Look for opportunities to bless, validate, and encourage.
  • Speak blessings not only to others, but also about others.
  • Give specific blessings—personal and appropriate (Gen. 48:1-3, 15-16; 49:28). Envision what God can do in others. Exercise faith on their behalf through a blessing that can transform their future (Heb. 11:20-21).
10. Don't just think it. Say it—now! Don't wait for the funeral
  • Although there are many everyday opportunities to bless, blessings are also appropriate on special occasions (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.)
  • Blessings are especially important for those under your leadership or authority. (Wives can encourage their husbands to see the value of blessing their children.)
  • Words of blessing cause growth, give hope, and bring healing.
  • Blessings turn hearts toward the “Blesser”—our loving, just, and faithful God.
  • Words are powerful, and death and life are in the power of the tongue. When we curse, demean, diminish, or belittle with our words, we speak lies—Satan's language. When we speak the truth of God's Word into people's lives, we bless them.

GOD KEEPS HIS WORD
David Wilkerson

“The Lord upholdeth the righteous. . . . They shall not be ashamed in the evil time [the time of calamity]” (Psalm 37:17, 19, my italics).

You may ask, “What does this mean exactly?” It means simply this: God is faithful not just in His recompense of woes, but also in His promises. David is saying, in effect, “Look around you and see how God keeps His Word. His warnings are now being manifested in our headlines, His actions all over our media. Will not God also keep His Word to preserve His chosen ones?”

FEARFUL NEWS

Think of it: No matter what happens in the world — no matter how fearful the news becomes; how severely the world shakes; how closely economies teeter toward collapse — God’s people will not be left ashamed. Indeed, the Lord will act on our faith to fulfill His Word to us. We may suffer, but He will come through for all who fully trust in Him. The world will never be able to say, “Your God didn’t keep His Word.”

TESTIMONIES TO A NUMB WORLD

Make no mistake, we are going to face impossibilities in the days ahead. But our Lord says He is God of the impossible, providing miracles when there is no human answer. In fact, He willingly puts His reputation in the hands of His people, calling us to commit Him to His Word. You may think, “But God can defend His own name. He doesn’t need me.” Not so! God has chosen His people to be His testimony to a numb, unmoved world. And He is calling us to openly commit Him to do what He promises.

THE FIRE COULDN’T HURT THEM
David Wilkerson

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, often referred to as “the three Hebrew children,” refused to bow in worship before Nebuchadnezzar’s ninety-foot golden idol. They stood resolute even when condemned to die in a fiery furnace. As the wicked king taunted, “Who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?” (Daniel 3:15), the young men committed the Lord to His promises.

“O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee [we don’t hesitate in our response] in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace. . . . But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up” (3:16–18).

TOTAL CONFIDENCE IN GOD

These young men were so confident God would honor His name that they willingly faced certain death.

Prominent leaders from throughout the land gathered for the execution: princes, governors, judges, rulers from surrounding provinces. And Nebuchadnezzar ordered the fire stoked seven times hotter than usual, a heat so fierce it killed the servants tending the furnace.

The crowds were aghast, exclaiming, “These men can’t survive! They’ll drop dead before they get near that furnace. No God can deliver from this kind of fate.”

WALKING OUT OF THE FIRE

Again, the Lord’s name was on the line. If He didn’t intervene, His name would be defamed throughout the nations.

But the Lord never puts to shame those who fully trust Him! Scripture says Jesus Himself showed up in that furnace to protect and comfort His servants. And out of the fire walked the men, without even a whiff of smoke on them.

Prayer For Time Of Election

Lord, like ancient Israel atop Mount Carmel, we Americans are halt between two opinions. Cause us to heed your warnings! Cause pastors and people to trumpet Your warnings, Your promises of grace to the repentant, and your promises of judgment to nations. May your people demand an account from every candidate for public office on this matter so important to You, and so consequential to our nation. May this be the year Americans become solidly pro-life and unashamed to declare so! Intervene to revive us and to save the million-plus lives otherwise destined for abortion in the coming year. May voters soundly reject proposals to overturn the Hyde Amendment, which would authorize taxpayer funded abortion. Awaken us and grant mercy we pray. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Prayer For Time Of U.S. Elections

  • Heavenly Father, awaken the American Church! Give us eyes to see and all the gifts of the Holy Spirit to conduct the kind of spiritual warfare we are being required to conduct in this hour. Grant us supernatural wisdom, knowledge and discernment amid the contest. Grant us miracles like those we read about throughout Scripture. Grant us biblical understanding so we may stand upon it and take effective action (2 Kings 6:17; Jn 14:121 Cor 12:4-12).
  • Teach us to use the two-edged sword you have put into our hands. Help us to tear down spiritual strongholds through prayer, fasting, high praise, worship, and thanksgiving. Help us to have no fellowship with (Gr: Koinonia - share company with, co-participate in, communicate with, be partaker of) the evil works of darkness, but rather to reprove (expose and rebuke) them. Help us to drive out demons and to deliver our lost countrymen with prayer and fasting, and help us to do so quickly before the night comes (Ps 149:6; Eph 5:11-15; Heb 4:12).
  • Pour out Your Spirit upon us and grant us supernatural assistance for extraordinary prayer over our neighbors, fellow countrymen, and our political friends and enemies. Anoint believers to visit the polling places in their towns and to pray over the people who will vote in each polling place. Put holy fire in the bosom of your saints to make the difference in this election for righteousness, in every state, city, town, and hamlet and for every office from President on down. In Jesus name, Amen! (Gen 31:13; Ps 149: all; Mt 3:11; Mt 5:44)

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people -- for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:1-4
