Michael Schumacher's legendary Ferrari, that he drove to the 2003 world championship, has been sold for a record price at auction in Geneva.

The F1 car in question - named F2003 GA Chassis 229 - was driven nine times by Schumacher on the way to securing his sixth world championship. It was tipped to fetch around £8million at auction in Geneva on Wednesday but it has smashed the modern record, going for a hefty £11.6million (13m Swiss francs).

The previous record was also held by a Ferrari driven by Schumacher, although that sold for considerably less at £6.6m in New York in 2017.
