UFC Fight Night 40 weigh-in results & Full Fight Card:
CINCINNATI – MMAjunkie was on scene and reporting live from today’s UFC Fight Night 40 fighter weigh-ins, where all 26 fighters eventually made weight for Saturday’s card.
The festivities took place at U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati. The same venue then hosts Saturday’s FOX Sports 1-televised fight card.
Among those weighing in were welterweights Matt Brown (170.5) and Erick Silva (170.5), who headline the card. The fighters had an intense but respectful staredown before leaving the stage.
Lorenz Larkin (185.5) and Constantinos Philippou (185), who meet in the middleweight co-main event, also hit the mark without issue.
Only preliminary-card fighter Anthony Lapsley failed to make weight on his first attempt. He was given two hours to cut from 174 pounds to the 171-pound welterweight limit. He was forced to return to the fighter hotel to cut the additional weight, UFC officials told MMAjunkie, due to an event at U.S. Bank Arena on Friday night. But officials confirmed he made weight at 171 pounds.
