Tiger Woods will not be stamping his name on a golf resort in Dubai. (USATSI)
Tiger Woods' struggles -- well, you call them "struggles," I say he's won four times this season and everybody is insane for torching him because he hasn't won a major in five years -- apparently extend to off-the-course ventures as well.
As planned Tiger Woods-designed golf resort in Dubai has been cancelled due to a downturn in the economy.
Here's what the
Times article had to say about the project:

"The ambitious project, in conjunction with Dubai Properties Group, was to include a championship course surrounded by nearly 200 villas, mansions and palaces. A boutique hotel and golf academy were also in the works, with Woods reportedly paid $55 million to design and promote the resort."

The project was actually suspended in 2010 before finally being canceled this week.
Don't feel too bad for Woods, though -- he has plenty of other golf course projects in the works.
