Conor McGregor got revenge for an earlier defeat when he outscored arch enemy Nate Diaz in a thrilling rematch in Las Vegas on Saturday night. He won two judge’s verdict 48-47 while the third scored it a tie at 47-47.

The judges narrowly scored the fight for McGregor after a war of attrition which saw both men ship heavy punishment.

"It was not easy...It was a war," admitted McGregor,. "I got to show my heart in there. I took it to him and stayed in it and got the win so, I'm very happy.

Conor McGregor beat Nate Diaz in one of the greatest fights MMA has ever seen.
The Notorious, who was stunned by Diaz last year at UFC 196, took the victory by majority decision after a five-round war in front of a capacity crowd at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The Irishman took it 48-47, 47-47, 48-47 but it wasn't easy with both men leaving everything in the Octagon.

McGregor exploded out the gate flooring Diaz on a number of occasions with a barrage of hard left hands.

But Diaz worked his way back into the contest and used his experience at the higher weight division to being to tire McGregor out.
With the fight going the distance both men were forced to give everything they had.

The judges called it McGregor's way before both the Irishman and Diaz pledging to go again for a third time.

Checkmark UFC Conor McGregor Whiskey a Complete Sell-Out

Conor McGregor Whiskey a Complete Sell-Out at Tesco Ireland Supermarket

The Dublin UFC fighter’s Proper No. Twelve whiskey is proving so popular in Ireland that this supermarket giant is having to put a cap on the number of bottles customers can buy!

Irish Central Staff 2 Oct 2018

Conor McGregor's Proper No. Twelve Whiskey is selling out in Irish stores.

Conor McGregor newly released whiskey, Proper No. Twelve whiskey, has been so popular at Tesco Ireland supermarket that it had been forced to restrict the number of bottles per customer to two per visit.

This September the Dubliner Ultimate Fighting Champ launched his new Proper No. Twelve whiskey, in collaboration with the master-distiller, David Elder. The whiskey is named over McGregor’s home neighborhood in Dublin, Crumlin, which is located in the postcode Dublin 12.

It’s clear that Proper No. Twelve is a smash hit with his Irish fans.

Proper No. Twelve is currently being exclusively sold at Tesco. The supermarket has been forced to put signs up in their off-license aisle stating that customers can only buy two bottles of McGregor’s brew at one time.

A Tesco’s spokesperson released a statement to the newspaper The Sun, stating “To ensure availability for all customers we've introduced a limit on the number of bottles that can be sold in a single sale.”

Tesco has also posted a warning on Facebook for those who are keen to try McGregor’s whiskey, warning them that their supplies are running out fast.

McGregor is proud to introduce this exciting Irish whiskey to the world, launching in Ireland and the United States, with further expansion in 2019 and onward. McGregor, being the perfectionist that he is, took a detailed, time-intensive approach to creating his whiskey. Inspired by his pride for Ireland and his love of Irish whiskey, McGregor wanted to create his own whiskey that would match his high standards and make his country proud.

For years, McGregor developed the brand under the project name "Notorious" through which came the foundation of what was to eventually become Proper No. Twelve.

It became a longer and more complicated project than originally expected, so McGregor turned to the world's oldest whiskey distillery, located in Ireland, with a proven history of quality whiskey making. He met David Elder, esteemed master distiller, previously of Guinness, and together they took painstaking measures to bring the whiskey to fruition.

"We created close to one hundred blends and ultimately selected what we knew was the one and only proper whiskey blend. We took the time to develop an incredible whiskey and I'm excited to share it with the world," said McGregor.

Proper No. Twelve's global launch expression is a blend of the finest golden grain and single malt. It is produced in an area known for its rich soil and pure spring water. Proper No. Twelve is complex and sophisticated yet smooth and approachable with hints of vanilla, honey and toasted wood.

Speaking about his new creation, McGregor said:
"I come from a place called Crumlin, in Dublin 12. It's a place dear to my heart. It's where I learned how to fight; it made me who I am today. It's a place I'm still very much a part of every single day of my life. So, that's where the name came from. It's proper Irish whiskey and twelve is my hometown.

"Growing up on the streets of Dublin 12, I learned the values of loyalty and hard work. I respect other Irish whiskeys, but I am coming in strong, with passion and with purpose. I am the founder of this company and I am going to give it my all."

It is important to McGregor to give back in a meaningful way. First responders exemplify his core values and those of Proper No. Twelve – commitment, loyalty and community – a "ONE FOR ALL" mentality.

"First responders all over the world are the unsung heroes who act with courage and answer the call of duty every day for people in need," McGregor commented. "I have great respect for these men and women."

The company has committed to donate $5 for every case sold to local first responder organizations/charities, up to $1 million annually. The organizations/charities will be identified for each state and country around the world and donations will go directly to specific states and countries where sales take place.

UFC Conor McGregor Shock Retirement After His Arrest

Conor McGregor Arrested in Miami Beach US After 'Smashing Fan's Ł750 Phone'

The UFC star was arrested on Monday after a 5am incident outside a hotel in Florida while celebrating his mum's 60th birthday

Posted 12 Mar 2019

UFC superstar Conor McGregor was arrested outside a Miami Beach hotel while in the US to celebrate his mum's 60th birthday.

McGregor was held on $12,500 (Ł944) bond at Miami-Dade County's Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

According to a Miami Beach police spokesman, McGregor is being charged with strong-armed robbery and misdemeanor criminal mischief.

It's claimed that the Irishman smashed the phone of 22-year-old fan Ahmed Abdirzak at 5am on Monday after he had been taking photos of McGregor.

Police say the altercation took place outside the nightclub Liv - housed in the Fontainebleu hotel.

It's alleged that McGregor slapped the phone out of his victim's hand, before stomping on it.

He then picked up the $1,000 (Ł755) phone and walked away with it, according to police.

The incident was caught on surveillance video and while McGregor was not arrested at the scene, he was tracked down at a Miami Beach house later on Monday.

His attorney, Samuel J. Rabin Jr, said: "Last evening Conor McGregor was involved in a minor altercation involving a cellphone that resulted in a call to law enforcement.

"Mr McGregor appreciates the response of law enforcement and pledges his full co-operation."

He was booked at Miami-Dade jail on Monday night.

The incident comes a matter of days after McGregor completed his probation following his attack on a bus at a UFC event in Brooklyn, New York, last year.

The former UFC champion avoided a prison term but had to complete community service at churches in Brooklyn while also attending anger management classes; had McGregor violated his probation, he could have faced time behind bars.

McGregor found it “humbling” to do manual labour, according to Pastor Clive Neil at the Bedford Central Church, where the fighter worked from Monday through Friday last week.

“He kept on using that word ‘humbling’,” the pastor said.

“He was doing physical work - vacuuming, mopping, moving boxes, moving supplies, putting out the garbage and so forth.

“He was quite patient in rubbing down the brass, polishing with spray and a cloth. He has enough strength in his muscles to do that.”

The incident is just the latest in a growing list for the controversial 30-year-old star.

In October, the Nevada State Athletic Commission suspended McGregor for six months after he was involved in a post-fight brawl.

Now he is set to return to the Octagon, potentially to go toe-to-toe for a third time with Nate Diaz.

The fighter had jetted his entire family out to the States to celebrate his mum Margaret's 60th birthday.

UFC re: Conor McGregor Shock Retirement After His Arrest

Conor McGregor Retires: Irishman Shocks UFC With Posts to Announce He Has QUIT

The Irish fighter, 30, stunned fans on Tuesday morning with his bombshell Twitter announcement that he is retiring from MMA

Daily Mirror UK, 26 MAR 2019.

Conor McGregor has stunned UFC fans by announcing his retirement from the sport in a post on Twitter on Tuesday morning.

The Irish star, 30, hasn't fought since October 6, when he was submitted by UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.

He was then suspended until April 6 for his part in brawl after the bout.

If he has indeed retired, then he will have done so as the first fighter to hold two belts at two weight classes at the same time.

He wrote: "Hey guys quick announcement, I’ve decided to retire from the sport formally known as “Mixed Martial Art” today.

"I wish all my old colleagues well going forward in competition. I now join my former partners on this venture, already in retirement. Proper Pina Coladas on me fellas!"

The Irishman had appeared on the Jimmy Fallon show just hours before his announcement, and suggested that he "didn't need" to fight again, despite talks over a fight with Donald ‘Cowboy’ Corrone in the summer.

“We’re in talks for July. There’s a lot of politics going on, it’s a mad game, the fight game," he said.

"To my fans, I am in shape and I am ready.
"There are many opponents, in reality I can pick who I please.
"I don’t necessarily need to fight. I am set for life, my family is set for life.
"We are good, but I am eager to fight. We will see what happens, but I am just staying ready."

McGregor has been spending more and more time promoting his whiskey 'Proper No.12' of late.

UFC president Dana White quickly reacted to the retirement news by issuing a statement on Twitter.
He wrote: "He has the money to retire and his whiskey is KILLIN it.
"It totally makes sense.
"If I was him i would retire too.
"He’s retiring from fighting. Not from working.

"The whiskey will keep him busy and I’m sure he has other things he’s working on.
"He has been so fun to watch!! He has accomplished incredible things in this sport.
"I am so happy for him and I look forward to seeing him be as successful outside of the octagon as he was in it."

McGregor quickly became one of UFC's biggest stars, winning performance of the night three times in succession after defeating Diego Brandao, Dustin Poirier and Chad Mendes

His next bout at UFC 194 saw him take the interim featherweight title with a knockout of Jose Aldo inside 13 seconds.

A loss to Nate Diaz at UFC 196 in his welterweight debut was his first in UFC and halted a 15-fight winning streak but the Irishman won a rematch five months later.

A win over Eddie Alvarez for the lightweight championship saw McGregor become the sport's first dual-weight champion.

After the success at UFC 205, McGregor opted to take time away from MMA and it was during that hiatus that he took on Floyd Mayweather in his first professional boxing match.

'The Money Fight' was a lucrative affair - with more than a million pay per view buyers in the UK and four million in the United States, with the American defeating his opponent in the 10th round by TKO.

McGregor recently shared a post with an alligator in the US

In recent years, McGregor has become known for incidents outside the octagon almost as much as his activities on fight nights.

He was arrested and charged with robbery earlier this month after allegedly stamping on a mobile phone belonging to a fan in Miami

That altercation came after McGregor had a brush with the law in the US over a violent incident at a UFC event in April, 2018.

Several people were hurt when he hurled a trolley at a bus, smashing a window, as it left the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn.

Fighters Michael Chiesa and Ray Borg were injured by shattered glass and unable to compete.

This isn't the first time that McGregor has announced his retirement from the sport having done so in April 2016.

Back then he wrote: “I have decided to retire young.
“Thanks for the cheese.
“Catch ya’s later.”

Movies Conor McGregor Punched Elderly Man in The Head

What Elderly Man Told Conor McGregor 'to Provoke UFC Fighter into Punching Him'

A video surfaced on Thursday which appeared to show McGregor land a left hand on a pub goer

Daily Mirror UK, 17 Aug 2019.

The man allegedly punched by Conor McGregor in a Dublin boozer told the fighter: "I don’t want to drink that s***."

McGregor had earlier bought a bottle of his own Proper Twelve whiskey before pouring three shots.

He and another man downed the drink but a third man declined the offer.

McGregor took offence and appeared to punch him in the head before he was ushered out of the pub by his minders.

A source told the Irish Mirror: "The fella McGregor offered a drink to said, ‘I don't want to drink that s***, I don't want your drink' and McGregor wasn't happy. And sure that was the end of it – then he swung for him.

“As far as I know he hasn't been in touch with the pub since it all happened. It happened back in April.

"It was stupid and maybe the man should have just passed the drink on to someone else and just thanked him."

McGregor will reportedly be charged over the alleged assault.

A source told the Irish Sun: "The file was completed, sent to the DPP and after its examination the decision has been made to charge McGregor with the lowest form of assault.

"He will now have to appear in court to answer the charge."

Earlier this year, McGregor was accused of smashing and stealing Ahmed Abdirzak's phone outside a Miami Beach hotel.

He was arrested on March 11 with police stating alleged victim Abdirzak was taking a picture of McGregor outside a hotel when he slapped the man's phone out of his hand.

But in May Abdirzak dropped the lawsuit and reached an out-of-court settlement with McGregor.

McGregor has not fought in the octagon since he was submitted by lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov last October.

He could return early next year against Nate Diaz if he wins his fight against Anthony Pettis on Saturday.

Update Re: Conor McGregor Appears in Court After Punching Incident

Conor McGregor Appears in Dublin Court After Punching Incident in April

IrishCentral 14 OCT 2019.

Conor McGregor's assault case has been adjourned for three weeks

Conor McGregor appeared in Dublin District Court on 11 October on charges relating to him having punched a man in Dublin pub in April.

In August, TMZ released security camera footage of the Irish UFC fighter throwing a punch at pub patron Desmond Keogh while at the Marble Arch Pub in Dublin on April 6. Keogh had reportedly turned down an offer of McGregor’s ‘Proper Twelve’ whiskey, evidently angering McGregor.

In an interview with ESPN after the incident was publicized, McGregor admitted he was "in the wrong:"

The Irish Independent reports that last week, McGregor was served with a court summons by gardai in relation to the incident. McGregor is accused of one count of assault, and if convicted, faces a maximum prison term of six months on conviction, or a fine, or both.

McGregor appeared in court on Friday with his lawyer, Michael Staines, who requested that the case be adjourned until November 1 pending the disclosure of evidence.

Judge Marie Keane agreed and ordered that McGregor appear in court again in three weeks' time.

The entire proceeding lasted less than two minutes, according to The Irish Independent.
