Movies Rigged-LIAR TRUMP Mocked After Claiming to Win TWO Golf Trophies at His OWN Club

Donald Trump's Scottish Golf Resorts Suffer Heavy Losses

US president had to plough £1.3m into debt-ridden Aberdeenshire resort...
The two resorts lost a total of £17.6m ($23m) last year. Revenue also fell sharply

The Guardian/Independent UK, 15 October 2017.

Trump boasts of making great deals, but financial records filed in the UK show he has lost millions of dollars for three years running on a couple of his more recent big investments, >his Scottish golf resorts.

A Companies House report shows losses last year at the two resorts more than doubled to £17.6m ($23m). Revenue also fell sharply.

In the report, Mr Trump's company attributed the results partly to having shut down its Turnberry resort for half the year while building a new course there and fixing up an old one.

His company has faced several setbacks since it ventured into Scotland a dozen years ago and its troubles recently have mounted.

The company has angered some local residents near its second resort on the North Sea with what they say are its bullying tactics to make way for more development.

The company also has lost a court fight to stop an offshore wind farm near that resort, drew objections from environmental regulators over building plans there in August and appears at risk of losing a bid to host the coveted Scottish Open at its courses.

Amanda Miller, a spokeswoman for the Trump Organisation, declined to comment about the results.

Mr Trump handed over management of his company to his two adult sons before becoming US president, but still retains his financial interest in it.

It is not clear how big a role Mr Trump's setbacks in Scotland have played in the losses. In addition to the Turnberry shutdown, the company also noted in its report that it took an £8 million (10 million dollar) loss due to fluctuations in the value of the pound last year.

The company reported that revenue at the two courses fell 21 per cent to £9 million ($11.7m) in 2016 from £11.4m ($15m) a year earlier.

Trump's golf business is being closely watched because he has made big investments buying and developing courses in recent years, a risky wager in a struggling industry.

It is also a bit of departure for the company. Mr Trump has mostly played it safe in other parts of his business, putting his name on buildings owned by others and taking a marketing and management fee instead of investing himself.

Much of the anger toward Mr Trump in Scotland is centered around his resort outside Aberdeen overlooking the North Sea coast and its famed sand dunes stretching into the distance.

Called the Trump International Golf Links, it is here that a local fisherman became a national hero of sorts for refusing a $690,000 (£520,000) offer from Mr Trump for his land and where footage was shot for a documentary on Trump's fights with the residents, called "Tripping Up Trump".

Many locals praise the course for bringing in more tourists to the area and helping the local economy, but Mr Trump's critics there are outspoken and now, with their target the US president, playing to a worldwide audience.

The same day that the financial report on the resorts was released, an online petition by a global corporate watchdog group fighting Mr Trump's plans for a second 18-hole course to the North Sea resort got signature number 94,860.

When Mr Trump visited his North Sea resort in June last year, two local residents ran Mexican flags up a pole in protest against the then-candidate's immigration policies.

It was a snub that came just after the UK Supreme Court ruled unanimously against Mr Trump's efforts to stop the wind farm, a Scottish government decision to strip him of his title as business ambassador for Scotland and the revocation of an honorary degree from Aberdeen's Robert Gordon University.

Both the Scottish government and the university cited Trump's comments about Muslims during the campaign.

In July, the CEO of a major sponsor of the Scottish Open was quoted in a local newspaper casting doubt on Trump's chances of hosting the event.

"There's no decision made but, look, there are clear issues," Aberdeen Asset Management CEO Martin Gilbert was quoted saying.

He added,

"Politics aside, Trump would be an ideal venue - but you can't put politics aside."

Asked for clarification about what Mr Martin meant by "issues" and "politics", Aberdeen Asset spokesman James Thorneley said:

"It's pretty kind of obvious, right?"

Pressed, he said he would not comment further.

This summer, Scotland's Environmental Protection Agency and Scottish Natural Heritage, a conservation group, sent letters to Aberdeenshire Council urging it to reject Trump's plans for the second course if he did not make certain changes. A vote by the council, expected in August, was postponed.

The global watchdog group behind the online petition, SumofUs, used the environmental objections in its plea for signatures.

It also seized on Mr Trump's reaction to the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, to muster support, arguing that Trump's rhetoric has "bolstered white supremacists" across the globe.

It states on its website:

"Now we have a chance to reject Trump's hatred and protect our environment in one fell swoop."

Whether any of this will hurt profits further at Trump's Scottish business in the long run is another matter.

In the financial report, Eric Trump, the president's son and a director of the British subsidiary that owns the two resorts, included a letter expressing confidence that the resorts will attract plenty of golfers.

He said Turnberry had received "excellent reviews" from its guests, and that the reopening of the resort is ushering in an "exciting new era" for the company.

Did Donald Trump Bankrupt a Golf Course, Leaving Puerto Rico with $33 Million in Debt?

A viral string of tweets gets some facts right about a failed business venture involving a Trump company, but it also leaves out some important context.

Snopes...posted 15 October 2017

Donald Trump "bankrupted" a golf course in Puerto Rico, leaving taxpayers there on the hook for $33 million worth of debt.

A Trump company was unable to save a floundering Puerto Rico golf club and resort from bankruptcy after entering into a management and brand licensing agreement with its owners in 2008. As a result of the episode, $32.6 million in government investment was not recouped.

In the aftermath of a series of hurricanes in September 2017 — particularly Maria, which devastated the United States territory of Puerto Rico — President Donald Trump reflected on the infrastructural damage caused by those storms in a 25 September 2017 tweet:

Quote:
Donald J. Trump
@realDonaldTrump

Texas & Florida are doing great but Puerto Rico, which was already suffering from broken infrastructure & massive debt, is in deep trouble..
1:45 AM - Sep 26, 2017

.

In response, public relations and marketing executive Lainie Green issued a series of tweets that went viral, accusing President Trump of having added to Puerto Rico’s debt by bankrupting a golf course there and defaulting on $33 million worth of government-issued bonds:

Quote:
Lainie Green @AureliaGroup
Replying to @realDonaldTrump

Massive debt you and your sons helped when you bankrupted your golf course & never paid back the $33 mil bond you left Puerto Ricans with.

You remember because you filed for the bankruptcy a month after you started running for president in 2015

And you claimed because you didn't own it wasn't your fault that you were just managing for 5 years leading up to the bankruptcy.

So how much are you going to give back of that $600,000 paycheck you got for sticking Puerto Rico with a $33 million debt?
2:03 AM - Sep 26, 2017

.

Green’s account of the episode got some facts right, but it also left out some important context necessary for any assessment of Trump’s responsibility for the bankruptcy of the golf course.

According to documents first detailed in a 2016 BuzzFeed investigation, in 2008 Trump International entered into an arrangement with the owners of Coco Beach Golf & Country Club, a foundering resort and golf course that had opened in 2004 on the northeast coast of Puerto Rico about 30 miles from San Juan. Under the agreement, the future president’s company licensed the Trump name to the owners and took on a share of the resort’s day-to-day management in exchange for a fee.

The owners of the resort, which was renamed Trump International Golf Club Puerto Rico after 2008, had already received significant financial assistance from the Puerto Rican government before Trump’s intervention. In 2000 and 2004, Puerto Rico’s Industrial, Tourist, Educational, Medical and Environmental Control Facilities Financing Authority (AFICA) issued the owners of the club a total of $25,497,854 in bonds to help build and launch the resort. In 2009, the Puerto Rican government also invested $50 million in the Hotel Gran Melia, which was part of the resort and provided a crucial stream of customers for the golf club, according to BuzzFeed.

By October 2011, Coco Beach had defaulted on $26 million in bonds and had to seek another round of financing. In 2015, the company filed for bankruptcy under its original name, Coco Beach Golf and Country Club, citing debts of more than $78 million but only $9 million in assets. Bankruptcy court records show that Puerto Rico’s Tourism Development Fund made a claim of $32,606,821, essentially leaving Puerto Rican taxpayers on the hook for the better part of $33 million.

Does all this mean that Trump “bankrupted” the golf course, though? Not exactly.

The evidence shows that Coca Beach had consistently been operating at a loss and accumulating debts in the years before Trump International became involved with its management. And a significant portion of the financial assistance provided by the Puerto Rican government was given in 2000 and 2004, well before the future U.S. president’s company arrived on the scene.

Puerto Rico had already been hard hit by a recession well before the Trump International contracted to assist with the club’s management, and in the two years before Trump International’s intervention (2006-07)

Coco Beach operated at an average annual net loss of $5.3 million, according to BuzzFeed. Moreover, neither Donald Trump nor Trump International held an ownership stake in the property, took part in its development, or was involved with its financing; they only operated and managed the resort. Holding Trump to be solely or primarily responsible for the bankruptcy of a business they didn’t own, that was already heavily in debt, and was losing several million dollars a year before Trump arrived on the scene would be something of an unfair standard.

However, one could argue that Trump International received a good deal of money from the Coco Beach deal yet failed to turn the club around, or even stanch its financial bleeding.
According to the March 2011 bond offering (which was itself required to cover losses on the Puerto Rican government’s 2000 and 2004 bond investments), Trump International had given certain assurances about the future viability of the resort:

The continued operations of the Partnership are dependant [sic] upon the ability of the Club to attract customers and control operating expenses.

Trump International Co. (Club Manager) has developed a plan to achieve and maintain positive operating cash flows sufficient to allow the Partnership to continue as a going concern.
In particular, the Club Manager [Trump International] has developed programs to attract members and use the Club, while containing operating costs.

Whatever that plan was, it did not succeed.

The 2012 financials show that the club’s average annual losses rose to $6.3 million during the period that Trump’s company provided management services to the resort (2008-2012), $1 million more per year than the business had been losing before.

Further, for this lack of success, Trump International garnered a total of $609,607 in management fees between 2008 and 2012. (This figure is likely the source of Lainie Green’s reference to a “$600,000 paycheck” received by Donald Trump.)

Donald Trump did not set Coco Beach Golf and Country Club on course for ruin, but he wasn’t able to save it from that fate. His role in the bankruptcy of the company, which ended up costing Puerto Rican taxpayers $32.6 million, was significant.

That $32.6 million loss constituted 0.03 percent of the territory’s total $123 billion debt, which prompted the Puerto Rican government to file for bankruptcy relief in May 2017.

Golf re: Trump's Golf Resort in Ireland is FLOODED >Other Courses are Bankrupt>$33 Mil in Debt

Clare County Council in Ireland, Will Rule on 21 Dec 2017 on Doonbeg Anti-Erosion Wall, at Trump International Golf Links and Hotel Ireland

Irish Central, 16 Dec 2017.

President Donald J Trump Flickr / Gage Skidmore

Donald Trump's proposal for his Irish wall, which he has been seeking to protect his luxury Doonbeg hotel and golf course from erosion, has won huge local approval as the decision day nears. Clare County Council will rule on 21 December 21.

Erosion on the nearby beach has resulted in extensive flooding of the Trump International Golf Links and Hotel Ireland golf course and a sharp drop in revenue. However, conservation groups oppose the wall and says it will be “profoundly detrimental” to the sand dune habitats

In April of this year, 300 people attended a public meeting in Doonbeg Hall, trying to save their jobs in Trumps Resort.
The meeting was attended by leading local politicians from the West Clare area. The gathering was organized by Doughmore Coastal Protection Group.

“It isn’t just a Doonbeg or Doughmore problem. The whole of West Clare needs the business. It’s a tourism area. Protection of the course is extremely necessary, and the positive attitude of the attendance was unbelievable,” committee member Liam Ryan said.

“It’s now time for the planning authority in Clare to make a decision and not to put it off and leave it in somebody else’s hands. We need less negativity and more positivity. Rural Ireland has been forgotten. It’s extremely important that people stand up.

“We’re only 300 miles long and 150 miles wide. If the powers in Ireland can’t make a decision to spread business around and keep our schools, post offices and businesses operating, there is something wrong with the country,” Ryan added.

Before he became president, Donald Trump discussed his Irish wall as an example of European Union bureaucracy gone wild.

"I own a big property in Ireland, magnificent property called Doonbeg," he said after the discussion turned to the EU’s notorious bureaucracy.

"What happened is I went for an approval to do this massive, beautiful expansion – that was when I was a developer, now I couldn't care less about it … but I learned a lot because … they were using environmental tricks to stop a project from being built.
I found it to be a very unpleasant experience.

"To get the approvals from the EU would have taken years.
"I don't think that's good for a country like Ireland.

“So you know what I did? I said forget it, I'm not gonna build it."

His comments delighted campaigners in Clare who have attempted to thwart Trump’s attempts to develop the picturesque resort.

In a statement on their Facebook page, Save Doughmore – Doonbeg beach, they said,

“Seemingly Mr. Trump was upset when we stopped his first plans for a giant wall on our Irish beach. Let's make sure we upset him a bit more and stop his latest plan. Objections to be made to Clare County Council before 3 February.”

In December Trump withdrew the application to build a wall spanning more than two miles to protect the property from coastal erosion, a second application for a smaller wall was submitted soon after.

Update re: TRUMP Promotes His Scottish Golf Course >His Golf Resorts are BROKE

Trump Boasts About His Controversial Scottish Golf Course, Even Though it Loses $1 million a Year and Many Locals Despise It

The Guardian UK / Business Insider, 3 MAR 2019.

PA via Getty Images

  • Donald Trump on Saturday posted glowing praise for the Trump International Golf Links, Scotland.
  • The golf course routinely posts losses in excess of $1 million per year, a review of accounts by Business Insider found.
  • The course has enraged many locals, who have waged long-standing battles with Trump and his staff.
  • Large promises made by Trump that the course would turbocharge the local economy also remain unfulfilled....

Trump boasted on Saturday about his golf course in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, which he characterised as "perhaps the greatest" on earth, and an asset to US diplomacy.

However, his praise glossed over the controversial history of the Trump International Golf Links, Scotland.

The course has aroused pitched opposition from locals for years, and consistently posts annual financial losses in excess of $1 million.

The President's Saturday tweet said: "Very proud of perhaps the greatest golf course anywhere in the world. Also, furthers U.K. relationship!"

The tweet quoted a post from The Trump Organization, which in turn quoted Dr Martin Hawtree, who said "The landscape framework of @TrumpScotland comes close to an ideal. There is nothing missing & there are no weak holes."

Hawtree is a golf course architect whom Trump hired to design the Aberdeenshire course, and in the quotation he is effectively praising his own work.

Regardless of the quality of the golf course, it does not make any money.

A review by Business Insider of the accounts for Trump International Golf Club Scotland Limited, which runs the course, found loses of between $1 million and $2.4 million for every year since it opened in 2012.

Here are The Results:

2017: $1,393,572 loss (£1,054,935)
2016: $1,545,934 loss (£1,170,273)
2015: $1,077,255 loss (£815,483)
2014: $1,050,260 loss (£795,048)
2013: $2,407,629 loss (£1,822,577)
2012: $2,311,283 loss (£1,749,643)

The course has also aroused significant local opposition.

The Milne family, who live on a pocket of land inside the course which they refuse to sell, have spent years battling Trump, whose staff have threatened them with legal action.

Nearby, Michael Forbes, a farmer who rejected offers from Trump to sell his land, painted the words "NO GOLF COURSE" in large letters on a shed in a show of defiance.

In 2016, The New York Times reported that Trump staff had built a fence along the border between their properties then sent them a bill, an apparent echo of Trump's strategy for a border wall with Mexico.

Milne threw the bill in the trash, and often flies a Mexican flag from his home in solidarity.

An extensive BBC report details Trump's struggles with Aberdeenshire locals and the authorities in Scotland, including the country's natural heritage organisation, which says the course development wrecked a rare and pristine sand dune habitat.

It adds that some business leaders in the local area have praised Trump's investments, but concludes that his promises of a tide of investment cash and thousands of jobs to the area are "far from fulfilled."

Ethics Watchdogs Decry Tweet Boosting Trump International

Trump is a National Security Risk

A tweet in which Donald Trump extolled the virtues of his golf course near Aberdeen was “shameless, corrupt and repugnant”, a leading US ethics expert said.

The president sent the tweet in the early hours of Saturday.

He later went on to deliver a rambling, controversial and sometimes obscene speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference, or CPAC, near Washington.

“Very proud of perhaps the greatest golf course anywhere in the world,” Trump wrote, embedding a Trump Organization tweet in praise of Trump International Scotland, the Aberdeenshire course he opened in 2012. “Also, furthers UK relationship!”

In response Walter Shaub, a former head of the independent US Office of Government Ethics, wrote:

“This is Trump’s most explicit commingling of personal interests and public office to date. This is the tone from the top that leads his appointees to violate ethics rules. This is shameless, corrupt and repugnant presidential profiteering. This is an invitation to graft.”

Shaub, who was appointed to the ethics role under Barack Obama before resigning under Trump, is a regular and fierce critic of the president.

Trump nominally handed control of his business to his sons when he entered the White House. Nonetheless, he has been widely accused of violating the clauses of the US constitution designed to stop presidents profiting from the office.

On Saturday, the watchdog Citizens for Ethics, which Shaub advises and which is suing Trump over such issues, tweeted:

“There it is. The president is using an official statement as an ad for his business and making sure everyone knows he ties his business to US relationships with foreign countries.”

Trump owns two courses in Scotland, the other being Turnberry in Ayrshire, which he bought in 2014 and at which he played during a visit to Britain last summer that prompted widespread protests, not least across Scotland.

The investments have been expensive and controversial.

Recently, a proposal to build 550 luxury villas at the Aberdeenshire course was delayed, having been the subject of a record number of complaints.

Golf TRUMP is Commander in Cheat at GOLF

Trump is ‘World’s Worst Cheat at Golf'

Fellow players have accused president of cheating, And Enlists Caddy To Help Bend Rules, says former Sports Illustrated columnist in book to be published Tuesday

The Guardian UK, 1 APR 2019.

Donald Trump played golf on Saturday and Sunday at his course in Jupiter, Florida. According to custom, once off the fairways the president tweeted angrily on political subjects.

But by Sunday afternoon he had not yet targeted a story in the US press that might have been expected to attract his ire: a report in the New York Post that said fellow players called him “the world’s worst cheat at golf”.

The Post report was taken from a book that will be published on Tuesday.

Commander in Cheat: How Golf Explains Trump is by Rick Reilly, an award-winning former Sports Illustrated columnist who has played with Trump himself.

Quote:

@SethAbramson

Made up his handicap, which is lower than Jack Nicklaus'.

Takes mulligans without asking—doesn't count them.

Has caddy pretend to find his balls when lost.

Secretly throws opponents' balls off green.

Has caddy relocate his balls to fairway.

Drives golf cart on green.

Shows poor postgame sportsmanship.

Puts fake monuments/quotes at his courses.

Cheats as you watch.

Lies about course rankings.

Don't worry—while he'd cheat at GOLF, he'd never cheat at ELECTIONS, though they're FAR MORE IMPORTANT to him.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — President Donald Trump's favorite golf course has a memorial to a particularly vicious Civil War battle, one so deadly that a plaque marking the site of the conflict on the banks of the Potomac tells how the water turned so red it became a "River of Blood."

The plaque includes, of course, a quote from Donald Trump: "It is my great honor to have preserved this section of the Potomac River!"

One historical flaw about that battle: It never really happened. The plaque, the battle, the casualties, the River of Blood: All fake.

The "River of Blood" memorial at Trump's golf course on Lowes Island in Loudoun County, just a few miles from the White House and a favorite location of the 45th president, first came to light during the early stages of Trump's campaign in 2015.

Trump has been accused of cheating before, notably by Suzann Pettersen, a multiple winner on the LPGA tour. In January 2018, she told a Norwegian newspaper the president “cheats like hell”. But the Post said Reilly had spoken to a host of famous names.

The PGA Tour pro Brad Faxon described some dubious drops.

The actor Samuel L Jackson was quoted as saying he “clearly saw [Trump] hook a ball into a lake at Trump National” in Bedminster, New Jersey, “and his caddy told him he found it!”

The boxer Oscar de la Hoya and musician Alice Cooper were also cited as celebrity witnesses to presidential fairway chicanery.

Trump’s alleged lack of clubhouse etiquette and previously reported penchant for driving golf carts on greens were also mentioned. But perhaps the most startling story concerned a round with the sportscaster Mike Tirico before Trump was elected.

Tirico, the Post wrote, “hit the shot of his life, a 230-yard 3-wood towards an elevated green he couldn’t see. But he knew it was close. When he got to the putting green, however, Tirico’s ball was nowhere to be seen. Instead, it was 50ft left of the hole in a bunker. It made no sense – until Trump’s caddy caught up with him after the round.

Tirico was quoted as saying: “Trump’s caddy came up to me and said, ‘You know that shot you hit on the par 5? It was about 10ft from the hole. Trump threw it in the bunker. I watched him do it.’”

Before entering the White House, Trump was a vociferous critic of Barack Obama for the time he spent on the course. On the campaign trail, Trump famously said he would work so hard as president he would not have time to play. Inevitably, he has managed to find the time, regardless of complaints about the cost to the American taxpayer.

Equally inevitably, his passion for the game has leached into his own political life.

Trump has played with world leaders, political allies and golfing greats. Pool reporters attending the president regularly ask who he is playing with. Often, they are not told.

Trump’s many courses are part of a property empire from which critics say he is not sufficiently removed. Earlier this month, for example, ethics experts said a tweet in praise of a course in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, was “an invitation to graft”.

In July 2018, Trump combined an official visit to the UK with teeing off at another Scottish course, Turnberry. He attracted high-profile protests.

In May 2017, as the Russia investigation heated up, an author claimed Trump’s son Eric had told him the family courses attracted “all the funding we need out of Russia”.

Two years later, in the aftermath of special counsel Robert Mueller finding no evidence of collusion between Trump and Moscow, that story might not embarrass the president. A legally dubious attempt to slash the tax bill on a New York course, however, first reported by the Guardian, was recently cited in Congress during damaging testimony by former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen.

In being accused of cheating, Trump is in good company. Bill Clinton was famed for taking “mulligans”, re-goes at shots he didn’t like. All the same, the new book will surely sting the notoriously thin-skinned president.

The Post rehashed famous stories about Trump’s infamously cavalier relationship with the truth. For instance, at Trump Washington in Sterling, Virginia, a fairway plaque commemorates a civil war battle that never happened.

But the report also went right to the heart of the president’s game: his official handicap, an impressive 2.8 which is listed on the Golf Handicap and Information Network website.

The Post reported that Jack Nicklaus, winner of 18 majors and generally considered the greatest golfer of all time, is listed on the same site as having a handicap of 3.4.

In Reilly’s words: “If Trump is a 2.8, Queen Elizabeth is a pole vaulter.”

Trump’s golf trips have also become quite costly, with a recent analysis from the Government Accountability Office report finding that each golfing trip for Donald Trump costs taxpayers about $3 million.
That puts the total bill to taxpayers for Trump’s golf trip at over $100 million.

Update re: Tourist Dies at TRUMP's Irish Golf Club >His Golf Resorts are Broke

Commander in Cheat Donald Trump's 18 Golf Tournament Wins Examined & REFUTED > Lies 16, Incompletes 2, Confirms 0.

In an extract from his book on Donald Trump and golf, Rick Reilly explains why the president’s game can tell us more about him than a roomful of psychologists

The Guardian UK, 4 APR 2019.

Donald’s Trump’s boasts about winning 18 club championships is a lie that’s so over-the-top Crazytown it loses all credibility among golfers the second it’s out of his mouth.

To double check, I called the only guy who could come close: George “Buddy” Marucci, of Philadelphia. Like Trump, Marucci belongs to more clubs than you can fit in your bag. Like Trump, he’s in the right age bracket, at six years younger than Trump.

Like Trump, he’s got all the money he needs to play as many club championships as he can fly to.

Unlike Trump, he’s as fine a golfing businessman as you can find. Marucci took 19-year-old Tiger Woods – 24 years his junior – to the last hole of the 1995 US Amateur before finally losing.

So, Buddy Marucci, do YOU have 18 club championships?

“Ha!” he laughed. “No way. I have a few, but nowhere near that many. It’s hard to win a club championship. I might have eight. Tops.”

This is a guy who’s been breaking par for the past 45 years. He belongs to nearly every creamy course in the world – Winged Foot, Seminole, Pine Valley, Cypress Point. If it’s on a top 10 in the world list, Marucci probably has a locker there.

When Trump told Gary Player he’d won 18 championships, Player scoffed.
“I told him that if anyone beats him, he kicks them out. So, he had to win.”

Was Trump’s name on the wall of any clubs he didn’t own? Nope.

Was it on the walls at Trump Washington in Virginia, a course that was already up and running when he bought it? Nope.

Or Trump Jupiter, which was a Ritz Carlton course when he bought it? Nope.

Was it on the wall at any of his own courses he’d opened? Oh, yes.

Trump International in West Palm Beach, Florida, has a plaque on the wall that lists all the men who’ve won the men’s club championship.

Trump appears three times: 1999, 2001, and 2009. But hold on.

The course wasn’t even open in 1999.

Turns out, then White House spokesperson Hope Hicks admitted to the Washington Post, Trump played in a “soft opening” round on 1 November of that year with “a group of the early members,” and declared it the club championship.

Congratulations ?

On 17 March 17 2013, Trump tweeted he’d won the club championship again at Trump International. But the plaque for that year lists the winner as “Tom Roush.”

The catch? It wasn’t really the club championship at all. Trump won the “Super Seniors Club Championship,” which at most clubs is reserved for players 60 and older.

Something to be proud of, sure, but not within a Super Walmart of beating the best young players in the club. The difference between “Club Champion” and “Super Senior Club Champion” is the difference between Vanna White and Betty White.

“I remember Melania used to ask us ‘What is this ‘Super Seniors’?’” recalls former Trump Westchester exec Ian Gillule.

“And Mr Trump would say, ‘Oh, Super Seniors is better than just a regular club championship, honey.’

He was saying it tongue in cheek but
Melania didn’t know the difference.”

At Trump Bedminster in New Jersey, Trump once won a senior club championship from 87 miles away.

He’d declared that the club should start having senior club championships for those 50 and up, but he forgot that one of the best players at the club had just turned 50.

Having zero chance at beating the guy, he went up to his Trump Philadelphia course on the day of the tournament and played with a friend there.

Afterward, according to a source inside the Bedminster club, he called the Bedminster pro shop and announced he’d shot 73 and should be declared the winner.

The pro, wanting to stay employed, agreed. His name went up on the plaque.

“But then,” says the source, “somebody talked to the caddy up in Philly and asked him what Trump shot that day. The caddy goes, ‘Maybe 82. And that might be generous.’

He pulls that kind of **** all the time around here.”

More than one source described another time when Trump happened to walk into the Bedminster clubhouse just as a worker was putting up the name of the newly crowned senior club championship winner on a wooden plaque.

Trump had been out of town and hadn’t played in the tournament, but when he saw the player’s name, he stopped the employee.
“Hey, I beat that guy all the time. Put my name up there instead.”

Of the 18 club championship “wins” that Trump listed for Golf Digest, 12 are actually senior or super senior club championships. So that leaves six real club championships.

One of the six he lists was Trump Westchester 2001, when the club wasn’t officially open yet.

That leaves five. The next was Westchester 2002, when the club was only nine holes.

If it really happened, you can’t count that. That leaves four, one of them being Westchester in 2004.

Could he have actually won that?

“Well, no, I know for a fact that’s not true,” Gillule says. “He never won any in the eight years I worked there. I mean, I loved working for Mr Trump, but you know, some people take a certain license with the truth.”

We do know that Trump played in the 2007 Westchester Men’s Club Championship and was knocked out in the first round by a 15-year-old named Adam Levin.

Trump was four-up with five holes to play, helped greatly by the 60-year-old calling two ticky-tack rule violations on the kid, one for accidentally touching the grass inside a hazard and one for fixing a small ball mark off the green, both loss-of-hole penalties.

That’s when, according to Levin, Trump said to the small gallery,
“The kid put up a good fight, didn’t he?”

A small bonfire lit under Levin, who wound up winning hole after hole, tying Trump up through 18 and then winning on the second playoff hole.

“He didn’t even say ‘Congratulations’ or ‘Good match,’” remembers Levin, now a data analyst. “He didn’t look me in the eye. He just shook my hand and walked off. He’d kind of been a dick the whole day. We were together for five or six hours, so there was plenty of time for conversation with me or my parents, but all he ever said was, ‘Isn’t this course fantastic?’ and ‘Aren’t these facilities the best?’ He’s a total asshole with no character.”

That leaves three possible club championship wins, all at one course –

Trump International in West Palm Beach.

But we already know the 1999 win there is a lie, since the course wasn’t open.

That leaves two. Of those two – 2001 and 2009 – I have never seen a signed scorecard or spoken to any objective person who remembers him winning or not winning.

The whole thing bugged me so much I started to itch. I wasn’t offended as a voter.
I was offended as a golfer.

For golfers, the stain of cheating is so much graver than winning or losing that we live in mortal fear of being called a cheater.

Tom Watson accused Gary Player of illegally moving a leaf away from his ball at the Skins Game in 1983 and they’ve hardly spoken since. One leaf.

So here was Trump caterwauling about 18 golf championships that were faker than Cheez Whiz, and it started to make me think.

How much of what Trump says about his golf brilliance does the country believe?

During the campaign, when Trump stood up in front of 30,000 red hats and bloviated,

“When it comes to golf, very few people can beat me,” did people buy that?

Because 50 guys at every course in America can beat him.

When Trump held endless 18-hole meetings at his Florida courses with this prime minister and that emperor, were those leaders returning home to laugh at OUR president the way they laughed at him at the United Nations?

Would they think all Americans cheat at golf?

It got me thinking ...

Somebody should point out that the way Trump does golf is sort of the way he does a presidency, which is to operate as though the rules are for other people.

Somebody should explain that facts and truth are to Trump what golf scores and crowd sizes are—“feelings”—malleable and negotiable, flitting this way and that like a car-lot balloon man.

Somebody should write that the way Trump cheats at golf, lies about his courses, and stiffs his golf contractors isn’t that far from how he cheats on his wives, lies about his misdeeds, and stiffs the world on agreements America has already made on everything from Iran to climate change.

“Golf is like bicycle shorts,” I once wrote. “It reveals a lot about a man.”

Extract from Rick Reilly book on Donald Trump and golf

Final score on the “18 club championships”: Lies 16, Incompletes 2, Confirms 0.

By this time, Trump’s nose has grown so long he could putt with it.

Update TRUMP Investigated re Military Trips to Scottish Golf Resort /Resorts are Broke

Congress Investigating TRUMP over US Military Trips to Scottish Golf Resort

Conflict of interest concerns over military spending at Prestwick airport and discount offers at president’s resort
US military spending at Prestwick, the closest airport to
his Trump Turnberry resort, appeared to have increased substantially since the election

The Guardian UK, 7 Sep 2019.

Congress Probing US Military Stopovers at Trump's Scotland Golf Resort

Congressional investigators fear American military forces are charging ahead to save President Trump's troubled Scotland golf resort.

When a C-17 supply plane heading back to the U.S. from Kuwait last spring stopped for fuel near Glasgow, Scotland, its five-person crew stayed at the Trump Turnberry resort 20 miles from the airport, said a report Friday night in Politico.

A Congress committee letter said US military spending at Prestwick airport had risen substantially since Trump was elected. Photograph: Alamy Stock Photo

The Alaska-based crew was surprised at the posh seaside digs. One crew member texted "someone close to him" a picture of the pricey resort and noted that the crew's per diem allowance wasn't enough to cover the food and drink tab.

Usually C-17 crews refuel at U.S. bases like Ramstein Air Base in Germany, or the U.S. Naval Air Station in Rota, Spain. Fuel is cheaper at the bases than at Glasgow Prestwick Airport, where the Alaskan crew stopped, Politico noted.

If they need to stay off-base, the Pentagon puts up crews at inexpensive hotels picked by midlevel officers -- none as ritzy as Trump's resort. "Master sergeants are cheap," an Air Force official told Politico.

Congressional investigators are looking into the C-17 stopover and other Defense Department expenses that might be helping Trump's Scotland resort.

The expenditures might violate a clause in the Constitution barring Trump from receiving "any other Emolument from the United States [government]" other than his salary.

House Oversight Committee leaders in June asked the Pentagon for records of its spending at Trump's Turnberry resort and at the financially troubled Glasgow Prestwick Airport, which the committee noted "has been viewed as integral to the golf course's financial success."

The airport may be another front in the military's push to help its commander-in-chief's business interest.

Since October 2017, the Defense Department "has entered into 629 separate purchase orders for fuel totaling $11 million," the House Oversight Committee says.

The investigators' interest was piqued by a February report in the U.K.'s Guardian newspaper that said airport executives were making business deals aimed at stemming Turnberry's losses.

The year Trump took office, the Turnberry resort lost money. But last year, revenue was up $3 million -- apparently helped by a boost in military business, Politico said.

Update re: TRUMP Charged Police Protecting Him €100k for Coffee >His Golf Resorts are Broke

Death at Doonbeg: Tourist on Long Dreamed Trip Choked at Trump's Irish Golf Resort

Irish Central, 6 OCT 2019.

Janet Buchebner, 82, choked to death during a meal at Trump International Golf Links and Hotel in Doonbeg, Co Clare

American tourist Janet Buchebner choked to death during a meal with her daughter at Trump’s Doonbeg Resort in Co Clare on May 25, an inquest heard this week.

An inquest heard that Buchenber, 82, died as a result of a blocked larynx and esophagus, according to her post-mortem.

The Irish Times reports that Tony Pender, a local man, had been talking to Buchebner and her daughter when he said: “Call an ambulance - that woman is not well.”

“I noticed Janet was having difficulties. I knew by her face that she was in distress. She wasn’t coughing - she just leaned over,” Pender said during the inquest.

Jeannie McGee, Buchebner’s daughter, said during the inquest that her mother had a history of heart problems, and had been prescribed antibiotics 10 days earlier in their trip while in Co Cork. McGee said her mother had not been feeling well the day of the incident.

Dr. Peter Flynn, a general practitioner who was present in a nearby lounge at the time of the incident, was notified that a guest had collapsed in the dining room. Dr. Flynn said: “When I went to see her, the woman was unresponsive and had no pulse.”

“One member of staff was doing CPR and another member of staff had a defibrillator,” he added.

During the inquest, Co Clare Coroner Isobel O’Dea said: “Everything that could have been done was done.”

“We were fortunate that there were three medics on hand and every possible assistance was given to Ms. Buchebner and by staff as well.”

An obituary for Buchebner said the 82-year-old was a native of Brooklyn, New York but had been living in Florida at the time of her death. She is survived by her husband, their four children, four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Her obituary said she was in Ireland as part of a “long dreamed trip to see her family’s heritage.”

TRUMP Doonbeg Charged Irish Police €875 for Coffee During inclement Weather

Trump's Irish golf resort charged An Garda Siochana about €100k during President Trump's visit in June when they were protecting him

Kerry O'Shea @IrishCentral 25 Oct 2019

Trump's Irish golf resort in Doonbeg, Co Clare charged Irish police over €100k as they worked overtime during President Trump's visit to the property in June.

The Irish Times reports that 3,820 gardaí were on overtime during Trump’s visit – around 27 percent of the overall 14,251 strength of the Garda – at a cost of €7.489 ($8.34) million.

On October 19, David Fahrenthold, a reporter with The Washington Post who says he “covers President Trump's businesses and conflicts of interest," tweeted:

When @realdonaldtrump visited his Irish resort, it required a huge contingent of Irish police, who bought their food from...Trump. Irish govt paid Trump $15k just for their snacks!!

Fahrenthold followed up by sharing pictures of the bill received by An Garda Síochána (Ireland's National Police Force) from Trump International Golf Links and Hotel in Doonbeg

When @realdonaldtrump made a side trip to his Irish golf club this summer, dozens of Irish cops were sent to protect him. Then Trump’s company charged the cops more than $100K for food and coffee.
Here’s the bill:

The itemized bill was dated from June 6 and included a stamp from the Gardai finance office that was dated June 20. The two-page bill features mainly meals, snacks, and room stay charges incurred between June 3 and June 7.

Fahrenthold, who pointed out that the figures were first reported upon by Gordon Deegan of The Irish Times, noted that one charge of €875 ($973) was for "additional tea and coffee due to inclement weather:"

Hacker re: TRUMP Asks Irish Govt to Pay Golf & Hotel Doonbeg Staff

Trump Wealth Order Probe Urged Over Scottish Golf Resorts

Scotland's first minister has been urged to use unexplained wealth orders to investigate how Donald Trump paid for his Scottish golf resorts.

Scottish Greens co-leader Patrick Harvie said the US Congress had heard concerns about possible money laundering involving some of the president's business deals.

BBC 28 FEB 2020

The Trump Organisation owns the golf resorts at Turnberry in Ayrshire and Menie in Aberdeenshire

He claimed there were "big questions" over Mr Trump's dealings in Scotland.

Mr Trump's son Eric said the claims had "no basis in fact".

He accused Mr Harvie of making "disgusting statements" that were "reckless, irresponsible and unbecoming for a member of the Scottish Parliament".

And he said the Green politician had "long expressed deep-seated animus to the Trump Organisation", which he said had "invested hundreds of millions of dollars in Scotland while creating thousands of jobs".

Donald Trump opened his controversial golf course on the Menie estate in Aberdeenshire in 2012, before purchasing the Turnberry golf resort in Ayrshire in 2014 - into which the Trump Organisation claimed to have invested about £150m within the first two years.

An inquiry by the House of Representatives into allegations about possible links between Mr Trump and Russia heard allegations that Turnberry may have been used for money laundering - a claim that Mr Trump has always strongly denied.

What is an Unexplained Wealth Order?

An unexplained wealth order (UWO) is a type of order issued by a UK court to compel someone to reveal the sources of their unexplained wealth.

It was introduced to target suspected corrupt foreign officials who have potentially laundered stolen money through the UK.

The first unexplained wealth order was issued in 2018 to Zamira Hajiyeva, the wife of Jahangir Hajiyev, the former chairman of the International Bank of Azerbaijan, who spent £16m in Harrods.

The media has sometimes nicknamed UWOs "McMafia laws" - after the BBC crime drama about a Russian crime family living in London.

Speaking in the Scottish Parliament on Thursday, Mr Harvie said the purchase of Menie and the Turnberry golf resort were part of Mr Trump's "huge cash spending spree in the midst of a global financial crisis".

Mr Harvie said that the House of Representatives had heard testimony which stated: "We saw patterns of buying and selling that we thought were suggestive of money laundering" - with particular concern expressed about Mr Trump's golf courses in Scotland and Ireland.

He added: "Trump's known sources of income don't explain where the money came from for these huge cash transactions.

"There are reasonable grounds for suspecting that his lawfully obtained income was insufficient.

"Scottish ministers can apply via the Court of Session for an unexplained wealth order, a tool designed for precisely these kinds of situations."

The orders can be issued by the courts to compel their target to reveal the source of funding, and are often used to tackle suspected international money laundering.

Mr Harvie said seeking the order would "make it clear that Scotland is not a country where anyone with the money can buy whatever land and property they want, no questions asked".

Ms Sturgeon responded by saying that "Scotland is not that kind of country and should never be that kind of country", but that she did not want to give Mr Harvie answers without the full information in front of her.

She added: "I think most people here would recognise that I am no defender of Donald Trump, of his politics or any of his other dealings."

Ms Sturgeon's spokesman later said that the decision on whether to apply for a unexplained wealth order is made on behalf of Scottish ministers by the Civil Recovery Unit, which reports to the lord advocate.

He said the government had last year received a report from campaigners seeking an order, which it had passed to the Lord Advocate on that basis.

Sarah Malone, executive vice president of Trump International, Scotland, described Mr Harvie's comments as "utterly baseless and malicious" and called on him to retract them.

She added: "This attention seeking behaviour is not what is expected of a responsible elected member of Scottish Parliament.

"Is this seriously how Scotland treats its inward investors? The Trump Organization has invested hundreds of millions of dollars into our economy and this sort of garbage is seriously harmfully to future inward investment."

Trump Organization Seeks Irish Government Assistance to Pay Doonbeg Staff

The Trump International Golf Links and Hotel in Doonbeg, Co Clare is seeking financial assistance from the Irish Government to pay furloughed employees during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Irish Central, 24 APR 2020

The Irish golf resort, as well as other Trump resorts in Britain, is trying to use government schemes to pay its staff rather than lay them off.

The Trump Organization, formerly owned by US President Donald Trump and now owned by his children, has three resorts across Ireland and Britain and can use government funding to retain staff like bartenders, wait staff, and cleaners.

The British government is covering 80% of workers' salaries for companies who cannot afford to pay staff due to a loss of revenue. This is capped at $3,100 per month.

The Irish government, meanwhile, is providing 70% of workers' salaries to a maximum of $450.

It is up to individual companies whether they want to make up the remaining wages and it is unclear whether the Trump Organization will provide the remaining 20% in Britain or 30% in Ireland. Companies are encouraged to make up the difference where possible.

Joe Russell, the Managing Director of Trump's Doonbeg resort, declined to say whether the hotel was topping off its workers' salaries. In an interview with Bloomberg, Russell said that the hotel employs around 300 staff during peak times and that it was due to open at the end of March after closing for the winter. The hotel reportedly employs 90 year-round staff and has remained closed during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"We've laid off the majority of our staff," Russell said in the interview. "We are ensuring they're looked after in terms of the government schemes that are made available."

Russell declined to comment on how many staff had been let go.

Trump resorts in Turnberry and Aberdeen - Trump's two British resorts - have similarly decided to furlough the majority of their staff.

Sarah Malone, Executive Vice President of the Trump Resort in Aberdeen, said that the company wasn't benefitting from its decision to seek government assistance.

“We are no different to any other business," she told Bloomberg. "The actions we have taken are solely to protect people and their families who would otherwise be out of work and struggling to survive financially.”

There is nothing improper about the Trump Organization seeking government aid, but a number of high-profile companies in Britain have come under fire for taking advantage of the program when they can still afford to pay their staff.

Several of England's richest soccer clubs, for instance, faced widespread condemnation when they furloughed all non-playing staff. Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur, two of the richest clubs in the world, reversed their decision to furlough staff due to overwhelming media and public criticism.

The Trump Organization regularly reports annual revenues of more than $500 million.

It is a different story for Trump resorts in the United States where the company is expressly forbidden from using Government programs to pay staff. Around 2,000 staff at Trump resorts in the US have been laid off and forced to seek unemployment benefits as a result.

However, the Trump Hotel in Washington is asking for $3 million worth of relief on rent it pays despite being prohibited from federal aid.

"Not The Way a Leader Should Act" - Rory McIlroy Slams Trump's Coronavirus Response

Rory McIlroy said on the McKellar Golf Podcast this week that he likely wouldn't play golf again with President Trump, whose management of the coronavirus crisis in the US the golfer criticized.

Rory McIlroy has lashed out at President Trump saying that he doesn’t agree with Trump’s management of the coronavirus crisis in the US.

Rory McIlroy said he wouldn’t play another round of golf with President Donald Trump after receiving backlash for it back in 2017. The pro-golfer also said he doesn’t agree with the President’s management of the coronavirus crisis in the US.

“We’re in the midst of something that’s pretty serious right now and the fact that he’s trying to politicize it and make it a campaign rally and said that we administered the most tests in the world like it’s a contest.

“There’s some stuff that’s just terrible and it’s not the way a leader should act, and there is a bit of diplomacy that you need to show and I just don’t think that he’s shown that, especially in these times.

McIlroy, a native of County Down who now lives in Florida, was speaking on the McKellar Golf Podcast on Thursday with the show’s host Lawrence Donegan.

During the duo’s nearly 90-minute conversation, McIlroy said: “There’s some things that go on outside of golf which I have opinions on. My beliefs are different than someone else’s beliefs and that’s fine, that’s the world, if we were all the same, we’d all be pretty boring.”

In 2017, McIlroy accepted an invitation to golf with President Donald Trump, a decision he received a considerable amount for backlash for afterward. Now, McIlroy says: “I’ll sit here and say the day that I did spend with him [Trump] and others was very enjoyable.

“He’s very charismatic, he was nice to everyone, it didn’t matter if whether you were me, or the guys in the cart barn, or the pro at the golf club.

“He has something - he obviously has something or he wouldn’t be in the White House, right?

“Whatever it is, it’s an X-Factor, it’s a charisma, I don’t know, whatever you want to call it. Most people that he came across that day he was cordial, he was nice, he was personable, and that’s my only real interaction with him.

In 2017, McIlroy faced criticism after accepting an invitation to play golf with President Trump. He told USA Today afterward: “I've spent time in President Trump's company before, and that does not mean that I agree with everything that he says. Actually the opposite."

“But whenever an invitation or a request comes my way, I don't want to say I jump at the chance, but at the same time, you know, to see the Secret Service, to see the scene, I mean, that's really what I was going for. I mean, there was not one bit of politics discussed in that round of golf. He was more interested talking about the grass that he just put on the greens.

“But, yeah, look, it's a difficult one. I felt I would have been making more of a statement if I had turned it down. It's not a tough place to be put in, but it was a round of golf and nothing more.”

When Donegan asked McIlroy if he would accept another invitation to golf with Trump, McIlroy hesitated for a moment before answering: “I don’t know if he’d want to play with me again after what I just said,” he said with a laugh.

“I don’t know. It’s very self-serving of me to say ‘no,’ because if I don’t then it means that I’m not putting myself in the position to come under scrutiny and I’m avoiding that.

“But I probably wouldn’t, no.”

Trump Goes Golfing at His Private Course in Virginia as U.S. Coronavirus Death Toll Nears 100,000

Trump Tees up Controversy as He Plays Golf in a Pandemic & His Golf Tab Soars to $133.8mill ..Paid for by Taxpay
ers...

The US president's last golf outing was at Trump International Golf Club in Florida on 8 March

The Guardian UK, 24 MAY 2020

Donald Trump teed up fresh controversy on Saturday, by leaving the White House for his golf course in Virginia.

Early on a fine morning in Washington DC, the president was seen by reporters “in his typical golf wear of white polo shirt and white baseball cap … before he departed the White House” for an undisclosed location. Secret Service agents accompanying the president were photographed wearing masks. Trump was not seen to cover his face.

He later arrived at his golf club in Sterling, Virginia, where he was pictured playing a round.

As of Saturday morning, more than 1.6m cases of Covid-19 had been confirmed in the US, with the death toll approaching 100,000.

As public health experts warn about the potential cost of reopening too soon, the Trump administration is encouraging states to kick start their economies and people to enjoy the Memorial Day weekend, traditionally the start of the American summer.

At the White House on Friday, coronavirus taskforce member Dr Deborah Birx said that though there was still “significant virus circulating” in Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia, activities such as golf are encouraged.

“We’re asking continuously for you all to be outside,” she said, “to enjoy your Memorial Day weekend, to play golf, to hike, as Dr [Anthony] Fauci said, to play tennis with marked balls and to be out with your families that you have been in the household with and to even consider sharing social distance space.”

Birx also said golfers should not touch flags on greens, and said picnicking would be OK “as long as you have utensils that belong to individuals and that maybe can be thrown out immediately”.

“There’s a lot of things to think through,” she said. “I know you can do this. I know the American people can do it. Please, as you go out this weekend, understand you can go out.

“You can be outside, you can play golf, you can play tennis with marked balls, you can go to the beaches if you stay 6ft apart. But remember that that is your space, and that’s a space that you need to protect and ensure that you social distance for others.”

In the Washington DC area, the weather encouraged outdoor pursuits. Other regions were not so lucky. New York’s governor, Andrew Cuomo, signed an executive order to allow outdoor gatherings of restricted size over the Memorial Day weekend, but on Saturday morning New York City, at least, was soaked by pouring rain.

Trump’s fondness for golf has been a constant source of controversy, not least for its cost to the taxpayer and its benefit to his family business.

Famously, on the campaign trail in 2016 he told supporters:

“I’m going to be working for you. I’m not going to have time to go play golf.”

Since taking office, though, Trump has played more than 200 times. He last teed off in Florida on 8 March, when the coronavirus outbreak was gathering pace.

Trump Visits Private Golf Course as US Battles Rapid Surge in Coronavirus Cases

A Day After Promising To “Make Sure Law & Order Enforced” Trump Heads To His Virginia Golf Course Again, Amid Ongoing Anti-Racism Protests

The Guardian UK, 28JUN. 2020

Donald Trump visited one of his own private golf courses in Virginia on Saturday as America continued to see fallout from a rapid surge in coronavirus cases. The trip came a day after the US president said he would stay in Washington DC to “make sure law and order is enforced” amid ongoing anti-racism protests.

The president has been frequently criticized for the scale of his golfing habit while in office. CNN – which tallies his golfing activities – said the visit to the Trump National course in Loudon county, just outside Washington DC, was the 271st of his presidency – putting him at an average of golfing once every 4.6 days since he’s been in office. His predecessor, Barack Obama, golfed 333 rounds over the two terms of his presidency, according to NBC.

The visit comes as the number of confirmed new coronavirus cases per day in the US hit an all-time high of 40,000, according to figures released by Johns Hopkins on Friday. Many states are now seeing spikes in the virus with Texas, Florida and Arizona especially badly hit after they reopened their economies – a policy they are now pausing or reversing.

Trump has been roundly criticized for a failure to lead during the coronavirus that has seen America become by far the worst hit country in the world. Critics in particular point to his failure to wear a mask, holding campaign rallies in coronavirus hot spots and touting baseless conspiracy theories about cures, such as using bleach.

On Friday night Trump tweeted that he was cancelling a weekend trip to his Bedminster, New Jersey golf course because of the protests which have rocked the capital, including taking down statues of confederate figures.

“I was going to go to Bedminster, New Jersey, this weekend, but wanted to stay in Washington, D.C. to make sure LAW & ORDER is enforced. The arsonists, anarchists, looters, and agitators have been largely stopped,” he tweeted.

Trump’s latest visit to the golf course put him in the way of some opposition. According to a White House pool media report:

“A small group of protesters at the entrance to the club held signs that included, ‘Trump Makes Me Sick’ and ‘Dump Trump’.

A woman walking a small white dog nearby also gave the motorcade a middle finger salute.”

It is not yet known if Trump actually played a round of golf. But a photographer captured the president wearing a white polo shirt and a red cap, which is among his common golfing attire.

Update re: Cameron Smith & Marc Leishman Defect to TRUMP/Saudi LIV Golf Tour

Donald Trump Has Battled to Block My Film's Release for Years. Now He Has Failed

My exposé of the impact of Trump’s golf courses in Scotland has been suppressed with legal threats … until now

TRUMP’s workers had cut off the water supply of Molly, then aged 86, while building his luxury golf course.

Anthony Baxter, The Guardian UK, 17 JUL 2020.

Here in Britain we like to think our journalism is free from control by those with power and money. Sadly that’s not always the case. I have spent years trying to release a film about Donald Trump and have witnessed the corrosive power his money has over freedom of expression – both in the UK and the US.

In 2016, when the Mail Online reported on a “92-year-old Scotswoman taking on Trump”, readers were appalled to learn Molly Forbes had to collect water from a nearby stream in a bucket because Trump’s construction workers had cut off her supply.

The article was accompanied by a disturbing picture of an exhausted Molly, taken from my new documentary You’ve Been Trumped Too, which was due to be released ahead of the US election. But shortly after its publication, the article vanished, along with another like it in the Sun.

Next, our film’s American cinema release was cancelled and a US TV network pulled the plug on screening it.

This was after Trump International had issued a legal threat to anyone who showed the film or repeated Molly’s allegation about her water supply.

The threats were enough to undermine our film’s release.

The Guardian’s Peter Bradshaw wrote of You’ve Been Trumped Too: “There could hardly be a more relevant or urgent film than this.”

But to understand why the film was seen mainly by critics and not more widely by the general public, you have to understand that Trump and I have history.

Rewind to before he was US president:

In 2010, after a phone call from Donald Trump Jr’s team, Aberdeenshire’s police arrested me and my colleague and threw us in jail. This was after we first learned Mr Trump’s workers had cut off the water supply of Molly, then aged 86, while building his luxury golf course.

Footage of my arrest and the Forbes family’s desperate plight appeared in my earlier film You’ve Been Trumped, which was ultimately broadcast on BBC2 in 2012 despite Donald Trump and his lawyers’ attempts to block it on the grounds of “defamation”.

In 2016 and more than half a decade after her water was cut off, Molly was still without a reliable supply. Other residents who opposed Trump’s golf course found huge Mexico border-style walls surrounding their homes.

After returning from the Republican convention in 2016, Molly’s son Michael found that the water was still not working properly and fixed it himself.

Ahead of the US elections in November that year we ran a successful Kickstarter campaign to fund You’ve Been Trumped Too, in order to inform voters about the person running for president.

While editing the film, we were simultaneously working to secure a form of liability insurance (called “errors and omissions” in the film industry), which all distributors and broadcasters require, and which gives protection from legal action from the rich and powerful. Normally this is a routine matter, costing about £2,000, and two sets of lawyers had given the film a clean bill of health.

However, with Trump the focus of our film, the quotes we received were astronomical. There was no time to run another crowdfunding campaign. We had just sent the film off for review and I was heading to New York for the world premiere.

On learning of Trump’s legal threats and the absence of E&O, our US distributor (widely seen as a supporter of independent film) got cold feet and abruptly cancelled our US release. The company asked us to remove its logo from the start of our film.

Even the leftwing American news network Now This scrapped plans for a primetime preview screening. We were left with one theatre in New York and a festival premiere at IDFA in Amsterdam.

Although we streamed the film on Facebook for free it reached only a fraction of the available audience. Our US publicist said they could no longer work on the film.

The day before Trump’s election victory, Mail Online published a “correction” to their original story about Forbes (who Trump says reminds him of his mother) which said:

“Trump International Golf Links has assured us the headline and related article are incorrect in various respects.”

The Sun issued a similar statement, in which Trump International denied that the initial disruption was deliberate or that their contractors carried out further work in 2014 and 2015.

Neither myself nor the Forbes family were approached for comment.

With further legal help we have now been able to secure E&O insurance at a standard price. And although Trump has in the past taken to Twitter to threaten me with legal action, it is time to stand firm.

The British distributor Journeyman Pictures agrees. The company has a proven track record of distributing powerful and controversial factual content and will be releasing You’ve Been Trumped Too worldwide next month.

It may be nearly half a decade late, but it is reassuring to know that freedom of speech in Britain has, in certain quarters, won the day.

You’ve Been Trumped Too will be released on 18 August on digital platforms.

TRUMPS' Bizarre Moments From Interview With Fox's Laura Ingraham

In a particularly odd Fox News interview, the president rambled on, on Biden’s ‘shadow people’ and compared police shootings to golf

The Guardian UK, 2 SEP 2020.

On Monday night, Fox News broadcast the first part of an interview between Donald Trump and Laura Ingraham. The primetime host is one of the president’s chief boosters, having spoken on his behalf at the Republican convention in 2016.

But things did not go entirely smoothly.

Echoing the fallout from recent one-on-ones with Chris Wallace of Fox and Jonathan Swan of Axios, much tougher interrogators, Trump’s rambling, confused, conspiracy-tinged answers swiftly dominated the news agenda. Even by his own standards, the interview contained some bizarre and outrageous statements.

Part two is due on Tuesday night. But according to the influential Politico Playbook newsletter, “very many people in the White House who would like Trump to win re-election are against the sit-down TV interviews the president has been doing.”

Here are Five Reasons Why:

1. Biden and The Shadow People

Amid an extended riff about the Democratic nominee being a “weak person” unable to deal with protests over racism and police brutality in many US cities, Trump said: “I don’t even like to mention Biden, because he’s not controlling anything. They control him.”

Ingraham gave Trump a chance to develop the thought: “Who do you think is pulling Biden’s strings? Is it former Obama officials?”

Trump didn’t think that.

‘People that you’ve never heard of,” he said. “People that are in the dark shadows. People that –”

Ingraham interjected: “What does that mean? That sounds like conspiracy theory. Dark shadows, what is that?”

“No,” said Trump. “People that you haven’t heard of. They’re people that are on the streets. They’re people that are controlling the streets.”

2. Shapes on a Plane

The president wasn’t finished.

“We had somebody get on a plane from a certain city this weekend,” he said, “and in the plane it was almost completely loaded with thugs wearing these dark uniforms, black uniforms with gear and this and that. They’re on a plane.”

Ingraham asked: “Where was this?”

“I’ll tell you some time,” Trump said, “but it’s under investigation right now, but they came from a certain city, and this person was coming to the Republican national convention, and there were like seven people on the plane like this person, and then a lot of people were on the plane to do big damage. They were coming for –”

Ingraham asked if he meant these people on a plane were coming to Washington.

“Yes,” Trump said. “This is all happening.”

It may have happened on Facebook. In the real world, less so. Ingraham moved on.

3. Police Shootings are Like Golf

“The police are under siege,” Trump said, as conversation turned to the shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wisconsin, the killings of other African Americans and protests over such deaths.

“They can do 10,000 great acts, which is what they do, and one bad apple – or a choker – you know, a choker. They choke. Shooting the guy [Blake] – shooting the guy in the back many times. I mean, couldn’t you have done something different? Couldn’t you have wrestled him? You know, I mean, in the meantime, he might have been going for a weapon, and, you know, there’s a whole big thing there, but they choke.

Just like in a golf tournament, they miss a 3ft putt.”

Ingraham seemed alarmed.

“You’re not comparing to golf,” she said, “because, of course, that’s what the media would say.”

“No,” said Trump. “I’m saying people choke.”

“People panic,” Ingraham said. “Yes.”

Trump Likens Police Brutality to Golfer Missing 'a 3ft Putt' –

4. ‘A Sea of Incompetent People’

“Let’s say for the sake of argument,” Ingraham said, in fact posing a question backed by solid polling data, “you have a deficit among female voters who may in some cases [think] you’re too aggressive, your tone or your tweets. What do you say to them directly about what you’ll do in a second term?”

“I have to be aggressive,” Trump said, “because I’m like standing here in a sea of incompetent people, stupid people and violent people – very violent people.”

Ingraham suggest that “kind of language” might be to blame for problems with attracting women’s support.

“Well,” Trump said, “Where are we? We’re in the White House, I see. See? OK. So I’m standing here in a sea of people, and we need law and order in this country and women see that with me. You’re never going to have law and order with Biden.”

5. Rudy Giuliani is Past It

Ingraham invited Trump to attack Democrats who run New York, over crime and the coronavirus. He did so gladly, lashing out at Governor Andrew Cuomo and Mayor Bill de Blasio.

But in yearning for the days when he was just another race-baiting Manhattan billionaire backing a mayor who cracked down hard on crime, he perhaps nodded to those who say that mayor, who somehow became Trump’s personal attorney and fixer, may now have seen better days.

“You need a young version of Rudy Giuliani,” Trump said. “He was a great mayor. He did a great job. I think people are really beginning to – I saw it the other night. He was at the event [the Republican convention, where Giuliani spoke]. People were – ‘Rudy, we love you, Rudy.’ They’re desperate for a younger version.

“We should probably put Rudy back now, he’s doing great. But you need a young version or a younger version of Rudy Giuliani. You need a tough, smart guy.”

Trump also said he had “a very good shot” of winning New York in the presidential election. Most New Yorkers disagree.

New Trump Golf Course Provokes Fury in Scotland

Environmentalists dismayed by go-ahead for new course in Aberdeenshire are likely to give the president a hostile welcome if he visits

Trump has said he might leave the US if he loses the White House next month. If so, he has just been handed the perfect place to eke out his final days – by playing golf on a new course in Aberdeenshire, his second in the area.

The Guardian UK, 18 OCT. 2020.

If Trump does choose such an option, he cannot expect a robust welcome from conservationists. They say last week’s decision by Aberdeenshire council planners to approve the course could have a catastrophic impact on the area’s delicate environment.

Trump International Golf Links Scotland built a course on the Menie estate, north of Aberdeen, in 2012, and its construction has been blamed for badly damaging the spectacular dunes system at nearby Foveran Links, an official site of special scientific interest (SSSI).

As a result, conservation experts had urged Aberdeenshire council to withhold planning permission for the second golf course at Menie that Trump had asked to build. But in September last year, local councillors ignored their warnings and recommended the proposal be given the go-ahead.

Since then, campaigners had pressed Aberdeenshire council planning service to overturn that decision but on Friday it announced it had decided to go ahead and grant full planning permission for the new course. It claimed the new course “will contribute towards the significant social and economic benefits expected to be delivered by the wider development proposals within the Menie estate”.

This optimism is not shared by conservationists. They say that the decision means Foveran’s SSSI status – given because of its unusual shifting sands and diverse plant life – will have to be removed completely in the next few months.

“This decision gives a green light to the Trump organisation to further vandalise and destroy Scotland’s natural heritage,” said Bob Ward, policy director at the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment. “Aberdeenshire council and the Scottish government have ignored the objections of Scottish Natural Heritage about potential further damage to world-famous sand dunes that are supposed to be protected as a Site of Special Scientific Interest, but which have already been partially destroyed by the building of the first golf course.”

The new 18-hole course will be known as MacLeod course after Mr Trump’s mother, Mary Anne MacLeod, who was born and brought up on the Hebridean island of Lewis before emigrating to New York. The course will be built to the south and west of the original one.

Trump originally won approval for his “Trump estate” encompassing the protected dunes because he pledged to create up to 6,000 jobs by building a five-star hotel with 450 rooms, shops, a sports complex, timeshare flats, two golf courses and housing estates. However, so far he has constructed only one 18-hole course, which is open seven months a year, a practice range, and a small clubhouse with a restaurant and shop; he also converted Menie’s manor house into a boutique hotel with 16 rooms.

With just over a fortnight until election day, the chances of Trump spending more time on his golf courses appear to be increasing. His Democratic opponent, Joe Biden, leads by 17 points in the latest Opinium Research/Guardian poll. More than 18 million votes have already been cast.

As well as leading in the national opinion polls, Biden is also consistently ahead in a series of crucial swing states. Last week he even won the ratings war – more Americans tuned in to see his Q&A session on ABC than Trump’s version on NBC.

Aberdeenshire residents may be seeing Trump soon, win or lose. According to www.trumpgolfcount.com, Trump has played more rounds of golf as president than any other White House resident. He has visited his golf clubs 280 times during his presidency, playing on 140 occasions.

Donald Trump Could Face Legal Trouble in Scotland

DW News •10 Nov 2020

Donald Trump could fly to Scotland for a golf trip to his resorts after moving out of the White House.

Trump invested more than 300 million euros in two Scottish golf courses.

What's unusual - he paid in cash.

Investigative journalist Adam Davidson has been on the trail of Trump's money for years. He says there's a pattern......

NB:
Millions of US$ that was donated to him and Roger Stone to build The 'Mexican Wall' is still missing & the contractor that started to build it has still not been paid millions of $$$......

TRUMP Hosts Saudi Backed LIV Golf Tournament.

TRUMP, Not Surprisingly, Again, Sides With Saudis, Because it’s All About Money to Him

9/11 survivors say Donald Trump ‘turned his back’ on them by hosting Saudi-funded LIV Golf Tournament

Chris Graham AP 30 JUL 2022.

Former President Donald Trump (left) is hosting the LIV Tournament, which is funded by Saudi Arabia, at his private club in New Jersey

Trump is getting millions from the Saudis to host a golf tournament 50 miles from the site of the 9/11 terrorist attacks financed by the Saudi government.

----But don’t worry, Trumpers. It’s all about Making America Great Again.

“I’ve known these people for a long time in Saudi Arabia, and they have been friends of mine for a long time,” Trump said Thursday. “They’ve invested in many American companies. They own big percentages of many, many American companies and frankly, what they are doing for golf is so great, what they are doing for the players is so great. The salaries are going to go way up.”

The Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J., is hosting an LIV Golf Series event this weekend. LIV Golf is the new pro golf tour being bankrolled by the Saudi sovereign wealth fund overseen by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who in 2018, during Trump’s term in the White House, authorized the murder of U.S. journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

Trump, famously, dismissed the conclusions of U.S. intelligence analysts pinning the murder on the Saudis, because, you know, they’re his “friends,” and more importantly, they give him millions to do things like host their golf tournaments.

To that end, Trump teed up in a pro-am with a group that included his son, Eric, LIV golfers Bryson DeChambeau and Dustin Johnson, and Yasir al-Rumayyan, the head of Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund.

Trump is killing two birds with one stone with this weekend’s tournament – shilling for rich people helping him dig himself out of his many debts, and kicking the PGA Tour, a frequent Trump foe, in the shins in the process.

“The PGA was not loved by a lot of the players, as you know, for a long time,” Trump said, not at all butthurt because the PGA moved its 2022 PGA Championship from Bedminster in the wake of the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the Capitol, which we now know was part of a wider effort led by Trump and his inner circle to seize power.

“Now they have an alternative, and nobody ever would have known it was going to be a gold rush like this. I think nobody ever knew that they were going to be paying signing bonuses. The prize money was going to be much higher, you know, four, five, six times higher. So, instead of a million dollars, you win five or seven or eight. A lot of money and it’s even going up. But the PGA Tour hasn’t acted well,” Trump said.

It’s not at all coincidence that Trump is doing what he can to kneecap the PGA now, and that he acted similarly childish after his failed effort to buy the Buffalo Bills in 2014.

Nah, him raising issue with Colin Kaepernick taking a knee in 2017 had nothing to do with his hurt feelings there.

History has proven, you cross Trump, he’ll do dumb things to get back at you.

It’s also proven that if you give Trump money, you’re good.

“Nobody’s gotten to the bottom of 9/11, unfortunately,” Trump said Thursday after finishing his practice swings ahead of the Saudi-financed pro-am. “They should have. As to the maniacs that did that horrible thing to our city, to our country, to the world, so nobody’s really been there.”

Cameron Smith at centre of LIV bombshell amid $3 billion golf furore

31 Aug 2022 Sky News Australia

Cameron Smith and Marc Leishman are reportedly among a group of players who will defect to LIV Golf for the rebel series' next event in the United States next week.

Australian golfers Cameron Smith and Marc Leishman are defecting to the Saudi-backed LIV Golf tour, ending months of speculation.

Mr Smith, the world number two and British Open Champion, is the highest ranked player to defect to the rebel tour so far, which is run by golfing legend Greg Norman.

The Australian duo was among six players confirmed last night to be making the jump to the new tour.

A figure for the move has not yet been confirmed but is reportedly worth more than $100 million.

TRUMP Says it is Great to be Home on Visit to Scotland

TRUMP Runs Away to Scotland Amid US Court Action

BBC News 2 MAY 2023

Former US President Donald Trump has said "it is great to be home" as he arrived in Aberdeen on a visit to his Scottish golf properties.

It is Mr Trump's first visit to the UK since 2019 after leaving office.

He attended a ceremony to break ground on a new course at his Aberdeenshire resort, Trump International Scotland.

Mr Trump, whose mother is from the Isle of Lewis, sparked a security operation on a 2018 Scottish visit with protests in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen.

The visit comes as Mr Trump faces court action in the United States. Earlier this month he pled not guilty to 34 counts of falsifying business records.

He is also facing a civil trial over an allegation that he raped an advice columnist in the mid-1990s. A judge has denied his legal team's request for a mistrial.

Mr Trump, who is running for the White House again in 2024, is visiting Scotland as a private individual.

It is understood there is no requirement on the Scottish or UK governments to pay for special security.

The former president arrived at Aberdeen Airport at about 11:30 and was met by two pipers, a red carpet and a 10-vehicle motorcade.

He left the plane and greeted reporters as he walked to a waiting car, but did not stop to take questions.

Before getting into the vehicle, he said: "It's great to be home, this was the home of my mother."

His mother, Mary Anne MacLeod, was born on Lewis in the Outer Hebrides before emigrating to the US.

Mr Trump said a "spectacular" second course on the Menie Estate at Balmedie in Aberdeenshire would be dedicated to her.

The former president cut a ceremonial red ribbon to mark the beginning of work on the MacLeod course,

He said the news course would be fit to "host many great championships" in future.

He added: "My mother was an incredible woman who loved Scotland. She returned here every year and she loved the Queen."

He added: "I love Scotland just as much."

Mr Trump is later expected to visit the Trump Turnberry course in Ayrshire before travelling to his course in Doonbeg on Ireland's west coast.

On Trump's last major visit to Scotland in July 2018 he spent two days at his Turnberry resort with wife Melania.

Trump was heckled as he played golf there with his son Eric.

It was part of a four-day trip to the UK, during which he met then Prime Minister Theresa May and the Queen.

Analysis by Glenn Campbell, BBC Scotland

Trumps' mother may have come from Scotland but he's had a very difficult relationship with people and politicians in the country of her birth.

Trump cut the ribbon on the MacLeod course with son Eric and Sarah Malone of Trump International Scotland

While he is now opening the second of two golf courses in Aberdeenshire, his investment there remains a fraction of the one billion pounds he originally promised.

Developing the site brought him into conflict with some of his neighbours and environmental campaigners who wanted to preserve the sand dune system and its natural habitats.

Donald Trump also clashed with the Scottish government in court in an unsuccessful attempt to block a wind farm off the Aberdeenshire coast.

Widespread Protests

Thousands marched in Edinburgh in protest to Donald Trump's previous visit

Trump was indicted on business fraud charges but has argued there is no case against him.

He pled not guilty to falsifying business records to hide damaging information ahead of the 2016 election.

The charges stem from a hush money payment to adult film star, Stormy Daniels.

He is the first US president in history to face a criminal trial.

Mr Trump previously visited Scotland in July 2018 while in office, sparking a major security operation.

He spent two days at his Turnberry resort with wife Melania as part of a four-day trip to the UK, during which he met then Prime Minister Theresa May and the Queen.

At the time protests were held in Glasgow, Dundee, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and at Turnberry itself.

Mr Trump was heckled as he played golf at Turnberry with his son Eric.

In 2014, he bought the Turnberry golf resort from a Dubai-based company. The family also own Trump International Golf Links in Balmedie, Aberdeenshire.

He handed control of both courses to his sons Donald Jr and Eric shortly before he became president in 2017, but he retained a financial interest.

All Scottish party leaders opposed his election as President in 2016 and the new First Minister Humza Yousaf suggested Trump be BANNED from the UK following the storming of the US Capitol building by his supporters.

TRUMPS' Turnberry Scottish Golf Course Swings Into Profit For FIRST Time Since He Bought it a Decade Ago- But PAYS NO TAX on Profit of £571,000. The Other, Aberdeen, Remains in The Red

Turnberry and Aberdeen Received £1 Million in UK Taxpayer Money During COVID-19

TRUMP Liable For Aberdeen Golf Resorts' FALSE Valuation to Pay Less TAX US Court Rules

Daily Mail 11 JAN 2024

Turnberry resort in Ayrshire, which has three courses and a hotel, has been owned by the family since 2014 and features three golf courses and a century-old hotel, It was bought by the Trumps for a reported $60mn but had never since made a profit.

According to accounts filed at the UK’s Companies House, Trump Turnberry made a pre-tax profit of £571,000 in 2022, compared with a loss of £3.7mn the previous year. With attendance recovering from the coronavirus pandemic, revenue rose to almost £22mn, from £13.1mn in 2021.

Trump Turnberry did not pay any tax on its 2022 profit, the accounts show, because of deductible losses carried forward from previous years and other allowances.

Trumps business record, which has been marked by multiple bankruptcies, has been called into question, particularly after his entry into political life and election to the presidency in 2016.

TRUMP Liable For Aberdeen Golf Resorts' FALSE Valuation to Pay Less TAX US Court Rules

A judge has ruled that Donald Trump and his company are liable for the "false valuation" of the former president's golf course in Aberdeenshire.

The detail is part of a New York Supreme Court ruling that Mr Trump "repeatedly" misrepresented his wealth by hundreds of millions of dollars.

Financial statements in the United States claimed the controversial course at Menie had permission to build more residential homes than was the case.

Mr Trump has denied any wrongdoing.

New York Attorney General Letitia James' civil action against Trump, his two adult sons and the Trump Organization accuses them of lying about his net worth and values of assets around the world between 2011 and 2021.

Ms James claimed the defendants issued false business records and financial statements in order to get better terms on bank loans and insurance deals, and to pay less tax.

'You’ve Been TRUMPED Too': Documentary TRUMP Doesn’t Want You to See -Released Worldwide

Scottish Widow Defies EX President on His Golf Course

Resistance built to Donald Trumps’ attempts to build a golf resort near Aberdeen in this prescient documentary sequel.. TRUMP has tried to block the film from being seen for years

The Guardian 10 FEB 2024

Molly Forbes, left, in You’ve Been Trumped Too.

Investigative journalist Anthony Baxter travels between the US Presidential race and the Scottish countryside to chronicle the troubling confrontation between Trump and a feisty 92-year-old widow, Molly Forbes

She refuses to make way for his golf course. This shocking insight to a David and goliath battle is a remarkable document of the disconnect between political rhetoric and the lives of ordinary people.

Years ago, film-maker Anthony Baxter made a documentary about Donald Trump’s corporate behaviour in Scotland that gave people here an idea of how his arrogance and racism feels.

But despite being shown to critics and appearing at festivals, his film was buried in a blizzard of legal threats, and never really got publicly shown. Only now has Baxter found a distributor to take it on. In fact, this film is a sequel.

The first film, You’ve Been Trumped in 2012, was about Trump’s breathtaking arrogance in attempting to vandalise a beautiful coastline near Aberdeen to build a golf resort, making all sorts of bland promises on job creation (the sort that he made to US citizens before the presidential election) and finding that the Scottish political establishment was an absolute pushover.

This second film returned in 2016 to find that a local, courageous widow, Molly Forbes, had refused to sell up and believes that Trump’s functionaries had cut off her water supply, to which they had access through neighbouring land they did control. He also put up Mexican-style walls around his property to impose his ugly territorial rule over the troublesome locals.

Baxter’s film now looks more urgent than ever: in 2016, he was showing us what Trump rule actually looked like – right here, on our doorstep. Our cultural cringe to him was a mirror to what might happen in the US. Mrs Forbes and her family battle on, in the face of the Trump organisation’s high-handedness and the Scottish political establishment’s supine attitude.

Horror has revealed his presidency in all its grotesque incompetence, it seems more relevant than ever to watch Anthony Baxter’s film about the president’s vanity fiefdom in Scotland, supported by our complaisant politicians.

"The parties agree that Alina Habba is not a party to this release," the settlement states.

The former president's lawyer was cut out of the deal because Bianco feels betrayed by Habba, who the suit alleges posed as a concerned friend offering legal advice on her claims of sexual harassment by a supervisor, but then "fraudulently" persuaded her to agree to an "illegal" hush money payment.

The two-week sprint to push her into the agreement gave Habba leverage to set up the deal, which she believed would impress the former president and usher her into his inner circle, the former employee claims.

And that's exactly what happened.

Within a month of arranging the August 2021 hush-money deal, Habba became Trumps' top lawyer in a sexual assault defamation case brought by former Apprentice contestant Summer Zervos, although that was later dropped, and she has represented the former president in other matters, most famously the New York civil fraud case he lost earlier this year and was penalized $454 million.

Bianco signed the four-page settlement March 4 that lets her keep the $15,000 hush money payment she received for keeping quiet about her supervisor's actions, and her attorney got $82,500 for litigating the case, but Habba now faces consequential threats to her professional credentials and bank accounts for setting up the non-disclosure agreement that has now been voided.

“We got everything we asked for," said Bianco's attorney Nancy Erika Smith. "We asked to void the agreement, that she not pay back. I didn’t want her to pay me a dime.

So we got that, and she still has the right to sue Alina Habba for fraud, and she has the right to sue the club for sexual harassment."

TRUMP; ''GRAB their pussy whenever you can''....

'Rigged': LIAR TRUMP Ridiculed After Claiming to Win Two Golf Trophies at His OWN Club

'DON Poorleone' Trump on Sunday was met with sharp criticism on social media, not for being found liable for business fraud or sexual assault, but because of a brag about his golf trophies.

Donald Trump on Sunday was met with sharp criticism on social media, not for being found liable for business fraud or sexual assault, but because of a brag about his golf trophies.

Trump, who earlier in the day raged against Fox News for its coverage of his civil fraud case, took to Truth Social to celebrate a purported golf victory.

"It is my great honor to be at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach tonight, AWARDS NIGHT, to receive THE CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY & THE SENIOR CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY. I WON BOTH!" Trump claimed.

"A large and golfing talented membership, a GREAT and difficult course, made the play very exciting. The qualifying and match play was amazing. A large and distinguished group will be there tonight. Very exciting, thank you!!!"

Columnist Molly Jong-Fast, asked, "Do they just let him win everything lest he accuses the club of 'rigging?'"

Journalist Aaron Rupar wrote, "get a load of this effin’ guy."

A popular account by the name of Marlene Robertson, said this:

"So Trump is off to his golf club to accept two golf awards. And can you f------ believe he won both awards! He wouldn’t 'rig it' would he?"

An account known as The Gardener, chimed in as a means to debunk Trump's claims.

"I’m a golfer and belong to a private golf course. 77 year old men don’t win The Club Senior Championship, much less win the Club Championship," he said Sunday. "Of course the only people that believe trump won these tournaments are the same fools that believe his lies about winning in 2020."

Former Federal and State Prosecutor Ron Filipkowski also weighed in on Trumps' post about golf.

"Speaking of things that are rigged....." he said on Sunday....
