Toddler Shot and Killed in Newark

A 2-year-old boy shot in the head in a Newark apartment Friday morning has died, authorities said.
Mikhy Robinson was shot at about 9:48 a.m. at his home on St. James Place, according to the Essex County Prosecutor's Office. Robinson was taken to Beth Israel Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 10:14 a.m.

"I am saddened by this tragic and senseless loss of life and extend my heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones of the infant," Police Director Samuel DeMaio said. "The investigation into this incident is in the very early stages and police have yet to clarify all of the details surrounding the case at this time.

Nevertheless, I am confident that the hard working investigators assigned to the Essex County Homicide Task Force will conduct a thorough investigation in the pursuit of justice and closure for the family."
Police put out an alert for a white Pontiac Grand Prix car that is wanted in connection to the shooting.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Essex County Prosecutor's Office 1-877-TIPS-7432 or 1-877-847-7432.

Just been updated on the news, apparently this baby was shot in the mouth. Info has now been passed to Police on the killer,,,,,,he has a Police Record, including some firearm offences.

Its a damm shame that one so young gets killed for no reason. I hope they find the person(s) responsible for this crime.
