Although the tumbleweeds is not new to the locals, the dry weather conditions has contributed significantly.

'It is frustrating. You know that you've got a good couple of hours work ahead of you and that's always sort of displeasing,' said resident Jason Perna.

Cheryl Lengrand hours clearing her yard from the tumbleweeds only to see them return the next day.

'I spent eight hours yesterday cleaning up the tumbleweeds and this is what I've got today,' said Ms Lengrand as she pointed at another mountain of weed.

Residents believe the tumbleweeds is also the result of an unkempt paddock nearby.
However the local council is unable to help as the weed is not considered a fire hazard.
