US to Launch New Anti-Piracy PSA- Yeah Right!

27 Apr 2013, C & P from various sources inc. torrentfreak

Today is World Intellectual Property Day, the day when we celebrate all the good that copyright has brought our society.

In several countries World Intellectual Property Day is used by pro-copyright groups to educate the public that strong copyright protections are needed.

China took it one step further a while ago and the local authorities seized the opportunity to take out a large piracy hub.

Then another prominent Chinese video site went offline. Yyets.com, listed among the 250 most visited websites in China, has put up a message stating that it’s temporarily closed. Interestingly, the site still works through www.yyets.com.

(China only do so much to help the US, unless they receive sufficient ((newly printed $$)) from the US to keep their "co-operation live and ongoing"- LBB) ;)

In the United States the Government uses World Intellectual Property Day to celebrate last years successful counterfeiting crackdowns. (Politics & another way to try and scare Pirates)

In addition the authorities teamed up with the MPAA to launch a new anti-piracy PSA, coming soon to a ""theater near you.""

Yeah yeah members, but we all know the US is broke, and have cut the budgets for all these Depts manned by the "Grey Men", so they have been sending out DDos attacks to many sites & their servers, as a back door to avoid the costly legal charges

There are thousands and thousands of Warez Sites out there, that is why they target only the biggest. Even Google is sick of it and the mistakes made by the companies the US had hired to deal with Piracy, and also the many errors on DMCA notifications, both by those detective agencies and the "Artists" complaints on copyright.

Hence Google recently announced they would be decreasing their actions. (As I posted in this section before). It was costing them and their staff valuable time. & the US "Grey Men" & Govnt, were not prepared to help them with their extra costs on hiring new personnel

In fact many "artists" complained, as they discovered that piracy actually increased their sales and was a free way for them to advertise their talents and content.

So we will see eh guys?

Read an earlier thread of mine posted in this section where I advised that actions on piracy would decrease in 2013. ;)

NB. This site will always keep you updated, but it costs us to "stay hidden" & we are now
even more in debt, we do not make any profit, and nor do we want to,,,,so PLEASE, we appeal to you members, donate at least $10 to help us to keep going. Just pm any member of staff for details.... & thank you :)

LBB

This thread will be made a sticky, for you all to read any see any further developments on the announcement by the US o
f this and any new proposed anti-piracy PSA
