Cyberwarez.info is GONE for Good.

They were advertising for staff only 8 days ago...... but now they are gone. They had over 450,000 members, so they made a LOT of money. I think as they were so big that they have been taken down, like the other BIG sites,,,, hmmmm their staff all left? then days later they close, ask yourselves why???......

Demonoid is also now closed and their Domain names are up for sale, see the thread about that in this section.

This site, its' members and server are well protected. We are too small and work at a loss every month, so the FBI are not interested in little ones like us, there are literally tens of thousands of little ones like us on the net around the world. It would be impossible for them to bring us all down.
They normally go after the BIG Boys that have made a LOT of $$$.

Since I posted this, the owner has contacted some of his VIPs and advised them that apparently it might re-open but be for VIPs only, & a closed site. We will see.....

I have been informed that Cyberwarez's new site is up. It looks as though it won't have the content that the old site had. No warez..

I had been informed they were re-opening as a locked site for VIPs only?? If they are not going to have warez on the new site then it smells to me that they have been compromised...by the US as I had first thought.

Why would they have advertised for new staff, after their old staff had left, then a day later close???

Any thoughts from you guys?

Not much need in speculating until the info comes out. You can go hog wild with guesses and make it sound like it's all sorts of things it isn't.

If they were allowing re-directors that's a recipe for trouble. All the hackers that want your account as a freebee use that to get your password to take over a paid for account. It's an invitation for theft. The re-directors don't do a lot of good, you gotta show up at the right place sooner or later to get the goods. When you do, the real address is exposed. It might take a weasel all of 10 extra seconds to find the real link. Over the course of a day, it might be a small inconvenience but that's what they're getting paid to do.

It's always sad to see warez sites close. RIP Cyberwarez.

Sometimes these are temporary to weather the storm and retain the members. Usually dropping warez means that you are going to lose a lot of your members. Funny thing is that probably 90% of the users of a site are what are termed leeches. You'll never hear from them, they won't respond to threads in the forum, and you'd never miss them were they gone, other than a drop in the server load. That's usually where infringement hunters hide.

I was mod in another site few months ago that went legal when all the stuff started. It now dead with almost no visitors. The members all moved to other warez sites. With sites like filehippo legal sites may as well close
