FILE HOSTS Deleting>Safe & SecureHosts-OUTSIDE the US & UPDATES

FILESONIC HAS STOPPED AFFILIATIONS

Dont panic there are many more hosts out there ;)

Check all the other uploaders threads, you will find many, but I wonder how many
more will panic???

Uploaders need to find File Hosts in other countries NOT the damn USA

But the Filesonic message only reads this;

FileSonic.com

All sharing functionality on FileSonic is now disabled. Our service can only be used to upload and retrieve files that you have uploaded personally.

Hasnt anyone told them that the proposed Piracy Act has been cancelled??? DUH! :banghead:

Read;

PIRACY ACT

I have just downloaded a movie without problems !!!!

Uploaders upload files that they have Uploaded Personally, so maybe there wont be a problem

;)

This will not affect members, remember Rapidshare did something similar and they regretted it when they lost all their business. Now they are back,,,,,learnt their lesson

LONG LIVE FTA!!!

Nothing and dont panic, it only affects the US Hosts. The uploaders will find Hosts OUTSIDE the US, those are already banning IPs from the US.

This sort of stuff is what Australia (firewall) government would be loving at the moment.

I can't even download stuff from our on TV sites already here in OZ.

Foreign films and stuff I mean.

Just about to ring my ISP and find out WHY!!!!!!

Ive contacted a couple of the best professional uploaders on the circuit, they will know what to do!

They thought FTA was dead, but Ive had it for a couple of years, as most of the Latino countries have.
The FBI cant do a thing about it in those countries, they only managed to stop it for general use in the USA, and Canada, but I know its still there underground in Florida and also in parts of Germany and Spain. One of the suppliers here told me that, he is German. NAG 3 WAS cracked.

If there is anything they can do I'm sure they'll be doing it. They are going to want their files downloaded again.

But they are the targets more than the people downloading.

It's my understanding that any domain that ends in .com and another ending (either .info or .net, I can't remember), have their services routed through a company in Phoenix U.S.A. It makes no difference where the actual server is located, it uses the services of the company in Phoenix. The English guy who is being extradited to the USA for linking to copyright infringing websites, is not being extradited because his server was in the USA, but because the traffic from his server was routed through the USA. The U.S. justice department are saying that copyrighted material was routed through an American company, and therefore the person concerned can be tried under U.S law. The English guy is not being prosecuted in England, there is no case to answer under English law. It would seem that any country who has an extradition treaty with the USA, are obliged to extradite their citizens to the USA to be prosecuted for using USA companies to distribute copyrighted (Warez) material, even if they didn't know that their traffic was being routed through A US company.

So basically, any filehosting companies owner, who's website ends in .com or the other one (I wish I could remember it), can be prosecuted under US law, no matter where they live, if their country has an extradition treaty with the US, and that's why they are all suddenly getting jittery.

Yes I know Cherylee and thanks for the info. Problem is the uploaders dont earn anything from RS and they arent allowed to store their files on any of those I posted and on the ones they did use, the hosts have deleted all their files, so they are stuffed. Thats why I spent all day today researching which were good safe Filehosts for them to use, but they have to start all over again

Some of them were very lucky that they were already using the safe filehosts that have not run scared......of Mr BIG,,, (USA)

Thanks for the help

Of course it will, do you really think that the many thousands of uploaders around the world will let the actions of those idiots in the US Gov. defeat them

Even President Obama and many Senators did not agree with the new Piracy Bill. Its just the Filehosts running scared!

re: FILEHOSTS DELETES LINKS & STOPS AFFILIATIONS+UPDATES

they can close all of these US hosters, most of the time I find them crap and speeds fluctuate more than greece's economy.

Go east is always the best route, recently I have only been using torrents and russian seedboxes and private servers which give me 12 mb/s download with zero chance of files being taken down. On top of that a 2tb FTP can be used for the most popular files and only forum people can view them :-)

Changes to Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service

In my opinion these changes being made by Google are related to the recent closures of certain "Pirate Sites", as it was indicated they (Google) may have been facilitating the use of illegal copy write protected material through the use of their search engines. Their new policy seems to indicate that information will be collected and when deemed necessary passed onto Authorities when requested :

Thanks for the help Rsole, I removed the link to google, dont want to give them any help as the source will be recorded by them

They already have been passing info to the US for years and many folk didnt know that However they can post as many disclaimers as they like in their terms, but they are still breaking the old existing US piracy law "Facilitating to Supply" and thats the law that the FBI started and used in prosecuting many sites they took down

So ask yourselves why have they never been prosecuted> I believe in the criminal world the word used,,,,"snitch" comes to mind

So basically, any filehosting companies owner, who's website ends in .com, .net or the other one (I wish I could remember it), can be prosecuted under US law, no matter where they live, if their country has an extradition treaty with the US, and that's why they are all suddenly getting jittery.

I haven't heard any update about Kim Schmitz's (aka "Kim Dotcom" the CEO of Megaupload) extradition yet, but I must admit I've been busy and distracted.

If New Zealand decides to hand him over to the US then it could lead to more mayhem for filehosts........although the Megaupload scenario will probably stand out as being different to many other filehosts that could possibly be targeted simply because of the profits made by the Megavideo service.

I see many links being deleted by filehosts in a panic......and I know people that are deleting their own uploaded files (admittedly these individuals are in the US).

Sad times indeed :uhh:
