I tested and investigated many Filehosts, including Uploaded.to (ul.to) for my Uploaders on my site. I never felt comfortable with them and their constant changing of affiliation terms and payouts, especially as they got busier after what happened to other Filehosts.

I am sorry to see so many of you having problems with them now, but Im not surprised. Please read my last updates below;

Any with .com or .net at the end of their addies are not safe, as their servers are routed through the U.S., no matter where they are based.

If you have a USA or CANADIAN IP, use Proxies from Asia, the Middle East or South America, NOT The Phillapines!!!

Perhaps someone can write a post for dummies like me on how to set up and use a proxy for downloading purposes? I can do it with web browsers, but don't know exactly how to go about it when I access sites that don't utilize browsers (for example, with a program like JDownloader). Each program will have it's own configuration for that.

But how do you create a secure VPN to a server, I think that is what Rover Bump and I and many other would like to know.

Maybe a tutorial in VIP area might help as I have downloaded a secure VPN program, but even thats hard to unbderstand on how to set up, but I also have a fixed ip addy which I cannot change and believe you need a static on to do all of this.
Only say this cause tor is very slow. I have used yourfreedom before and that is great to pick an ip from anywhere in the world.

I sympathise with you. Filesonic are really the worst I think and they are owned by Fileserve, check both sites, they are identical. I have been trying for days to get my money back from them, just paid for 1 yr Premium, they never reply.

I had also just paid for another 12 month subscription with Filesonic. I opened a PayPal dispute with them and sent the following reason for requesting a refund...I received a total refund within 24 hours of submitting my claim :

maddogdj - not sure if this is what you mean by proxy, but I use two paid services real-debrid and Estro Web. I find that the cost is worth it. Especially Estro Web, because their tech support answers me within 48 hours.

The only bad thing about Estro Web is that you can't really use it for storing files because they sometimes change servers. For example you get a torrent box and rapidleech pages. You also get FTP access so I would use the torrent box to get torrent downloads and then FTP to get the files to my home computer. I noticed that I was getting very slow download speeds and submitted a ticket. Their solution, which worked, was to switch me to a new server, but since I didn't want to take weeks to download my files from the slow server I lost those files.

With real-debrid they pay for premium accounts on all file sharing hosts, currently 81 different sites. Then you paste the links to files you want to download on their webpage. They download them to their servers and then you download from real-debrid servers. It's much cheaper than buying premium for every file sharing website that opens. Bad thing about real-debrid is first purchase. They are a french site and their language is french, I being in USA don't speak french. Also you have to pay through a third site, I used BigShareShop, then receive a certificate number from the third site, then submit that certificate number through real-debrid .fr site (can't do it on the .com site) then real-debrid staff change your account to premium. It took me 3 days because the real-debrid staff couldn't understand my english nor use a good translate software. Renewing the premium status (I do 90 days at a time) is very simple and completely automated, no submitting numbers and waiting for email. Also real-debrid does have limits. You can download 1-10 gigabytes from each server I'm not sure if the limit is per day or per week or per month, but I've never reached it.

At the moment it is still safe in the US and I have a premium acct with them, they are very fast even on free. I would advise buying a short term premium acct with them until Ive finished testing the other filehosts then I will recommend which are best and safest

There have been complaints from members and I tested both of them often and I agree. Their sites go down sometimes, on free downloads they are timed out and now once again extabit problems, saying plug-in on site out of date

They also dont reply to my emails enquiring about this site affiliating with them. They are both crap all around and I have seen other uploaders on other sites complaining they have disputes and have problems getting paid by uploaded to (ul.to)

Up to you of course, but remember my words.

Please give more link choices.

As a free user I do not have any problems downloading from Uploaded.to

Occasionally they have a "all free download capacity is exhausted, please try again later" message, but when I try again some minutes later, it's full speed for the download.

Of course, my full speed is about 50kb/s, so it's not huge, but it IS consistent in the mornings and evenings (European time) and every download completes properly. ... Day-time it slows to a crawl (possibly just ISP shaping on my small line) and most large file downloads will be incomplete, but then I do have a day job, so it's not all bad ... I need to concentrate on work for a while

I came across a site that posts links for stuff at a place called "rarefile(dot)net". I think they are located out of France, but not sure. I haven't try downloading from them yet, they have a limit for free users at 350 megs. So I don't know how fast or safe they are.

From a downloaders point of view, I tested and found that exhabit and uploadedto (ul.to)
are the worst, not only for free download time but they never respond to their emails about site affiliation and paypal no longer work with exhabit.

Exhabit "may" reopen their affiliations in 4 months. That does not look good for those uploaders that
have already affiliated with them

There have been many complaints about both from uploaders and members, on other sites. Both of them and Turbobit also block US IPs

The other one that was dreadful was netload.in you have to wait 50mins for free
download to start.

The fastest filehosts I have found so far are Filedino.com and freakshare.com

Just in ,,,,Paypal have frozen uploaded.to (ul.to) account , Uploaders may not get paid!

This brings a very big problem up, when everyone cancels their Paypal payouts and requests the fund via another method, we get into shortpasses and aren't able to continue the usual moneyflow because all the cash @ Paypal is frozen.
This led to the decreasement of the Lead Revenue from 5 to 3 EUR

I have warned you guys from the beginning NOT to use them, but was ignored, now you will lose $$$ by that

They have been recommended by a couple of uploaders and I have to say their service seems good and so is their Free Downloads, which will be good for you as members will note you are using them, after I recommend them, when I have finished testing all.

Please check their terms for uploaders and post in here what they are.

If you can supply Rapidshare.com, that would be a big help to me, I know you dont earn from them, but members love them and this will help your reputation. RShare may change their mind in the future about affiliations, or so they said in their reply to my email.

I have noticed that those uploaders that use uploaded to (ul.to) and exhabit are being ignored by members so they are losing out by that. At the mo Paypal have blocked payments by exhabit, so there must have been many complaints about them

Their service to both uploaders and members is getting worse. From the beginning I warned my uploaders not to use them.
I can never recommend them to anyone and I have read many posts about them on many sites and others feel the same way

Be guided by my and popperslist recommendations and he is usually correct!

& many uploaders use Turbobit, but I dont know how they treat their uploaders

uploaders.to, exhabit have never answered my
emails about affiliations and I have been waiting weeks for a reply.

If you investigate Turbobit for uploaders and post in here their terms and what you think, that would be a big help and I will investigate them for site affiliations

Not sure when you're getting the "have to register message" with them but I don't. DL speed as a free user is 400kb/s which is as fast as any paid membership. Now mind you the one link of a set of 2 links gave me a "Downloading of this file is temporarily disabled, the server containing this file is a rather busy, try again later, sorry" message but the other link went right away.

I find that the cost is worth it. Especially Estro Web, because their tech support answers me within 48 hours. The only bad thing about Estro Web is that you can't really use it for storing files because they sometimes change servers. For example you get a torrent box and rapidleech pages. You also get FTP access so I would use the torrent box to get torrent downloads and then FTP to get the files to my home computer. I noticed that I was getting very slow download speeds and submitted a ticket. Their solution, which worked, was to switch me to a new server, but since I didn't want to take weeks to download my files from the slow server I lost those files. With real-debrid they pay for premium accounts on all file sharing hosts, currently 81 different sites. Then you paste the links to files you want to download on their webpage. They download them to their servers and then you download from real-debrid servers. It's much cheaper than buying premium for every file sharing website that opens. Bad thing about real-debrid is first purchase. They are a french site and their language is french, I being in USA don't speak french. Also you have to pay through a third site, I used BigShareShop, then receive a certificate number from the third site, then submit that certificate number through real-debrid .fr site (can't do it on the .com site) then real-debrid staff change your account to premium. It took me 3 days because the real-debrid staff couldn't understand my english nor use a good translate software. Renewing the premium status (I do 90 days at a time) is very simple and completely automated, no submitting numbers and waiting for email. Also real-debrid does have limits. You can download 1-10 gigabytes from each server I'm not sure if the limit is per day or per week or per month, but I've never reached it. Real-debrid does not offer any bonus for referring people, but they do have "fidelity points" which you earn for every month you purchase premium. I earned 30 days free premium after paying for 6 months. Of course, my full speed is about 50kb/s, so it's not huge, but it IS consistent in the mornings and evenings (European time) and every download completes properly. ... Day-time it slows to a crawl (possibly just ISP shaping on my small line) and most large file downloads will be incomplete, but then I do have a day job, so it's not all bad ... I need to concentrate on work for a while

I think they are located out of France, but not sure. I haven't try downloading from them yet, they have a limit for free users at 350 megs. So I don't know how fast or safe they are.

Due to the freezing of our Paypal account we aren't able to do any payouts at all atm, not to you uploaders, not to our cooperation partners like our hosting service Leaseweb. This brings a very big problem up, when everyone cancels their Paypal payouts and requests the fund via another method, we get into shortpasses and aren't able to continue the usual moneyflow because all the cash @ Paypal is frozen. Please check their terms for uploaders and post in here what they are. If you can supply Rapidshare.com, that would be a big help to me, I know you dont earn from them, but members love them and this will help your reputation. RShare may change their mind in the future about affiliations, or so they said in their reply to my email. I have noticed that those uploaders that use uploaded to (ul.to) and exhabit are being ignored by members so they are losing out by that. At the mo Paypal have blocked payments by exhabit, so there must have been many complaints about them Their service to both uploaders and members is getting worse. From the beginning I warned my uploaders not to use them. I can never recommend them to anyone and I have read many posts about them on many sites and others feel the same way Be guided by my and popperslist recommendations and he is usually correct! & many uploaders use Turbobit, but I dont know how they treat their uploaders uploaders.to, exhabit have never answered my emails about affiliations and I have been waiting weeks for a reply. I loved RS but now I know not to click on them for a download, but just board work.
