Indonesia's Constitutional Court has agreed to hear a legal challenge brought by the Bali Nine duo, a lawyer for the pair has said.

It is unclear if the decision will delay the executions of Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran, who are scheduled to be killed on Wednesday.

A lawyer for Chan and Sukumaran, Leonard Arpan, said a court had agreed to hear an appeal in two weeks.

'For the Bali Nine (pair), we have the Constitutional Court appeal, we have the registration number and we have the schedule fixed on May 12,' Leonard Arpan, lawyer for Australians Myuran Sukumaran and Andrew Chan, told reporters, according to Reuters.

'We keep hoping that this ongoing legal process will be respected.'
It is believed the duo is currently scheduled to face a firing squad shortly after midnight on Wednesday.
However, Indonesia's attorney-general has repeatedly said this sort of challenge will not stop the executions from taking place.

The challenge, which would be an attempt to challenge Clemency law in the country, was labelled 'an unusual legal effort' by Muhammad Prasetyo earlier this month

'This, I feel ... is proof that they intend to buy time only, by playing with our law,' Mr Prasetyo said at the time.
'I think this is enough, I am saying this is enough — the legal process has been done.'

The wedding was held just months after the Bali Nine ringleader proposed to his girlfriend at Kerobokan Prison in February.

It also emerged condemned Bali Nine member Myuran Sukumaran has requested to spend his last days before his execution painting for as long as possible.
Sukumaran's close friend, artist Ben Quilty, said on Monday the condemned man wanted to look his killers in the eye.

'Myuran always said to me he would never take this lying down,' Mr Quilty told Radio 2GB. 'That he would stare them down, that no-one would cover his eyes, that he would face it with dignity.'

Sukumaran's final request comes as images from Nusakambangan showed a hauntingself portrait painted by Sukumaran in his cell, depicting the artist shot through the heart.

His brother, Chinthu Sukumaran has pleaded with the Indonesian president to call off the firing squad while Sukumaran's lawyer was pictured removing the morbid paintings from the death row inmate's cell.

Sukumaran's fellow death row inmate, Andrew Chan, has requested to spend his last hours in church with his family.

The date of the executions - April 29 - became official when a local funeral director in Cilacap was instructed to inscribe the names of those to be shot by firing squad and the date of their deaths.

'He's found peace with what may happen but he and we all feel that this is a grave injustice and it did not have to be this way and it still doesn't have to be this way,' Chinthu Sukumaran told reporters, after spending a couple of hours with his brother.

The men's coffins are laid out in a holding area in Cilacap, before being transported to Death Island

A local television station broadcast a chilling reenactment of how executions are carried out in Indonesia which was broadcast to millions of viewers is set to become a brutal reality for Andrew Chan and Myruan Sukumaran.

The Australian men are expected to be led from their isolated cells in Batu prison through the wildly dense tropical forest up a 3km steep winding track to a place called Nirbaya - or more appropriately known as Death Valley.

The condemned pair will be given white clothing to wear, which symbolises the afterlife, before beginning their fatal trek and are given the option to be blindfolded with a piece of fabric before facing the firing squad who will be lined up anywhere from five to 10 metres in front of them.

The confronting decisions continue for the death row inmates with the opportunity to choose whether to stand, sit or kneel before a cross is placed over their hearts acting as a target for the 12 riflemen - of which nine will have blanks and only three will have live rounds.

If necessary their hands or feet will be tied to a 3m high pole or worse still - a wooden execution chair.

Mr Chan said his brother's only wish would be to go to church with his family in his last days.

'The two boys are still holding up pretty well considering they feel this is injust (unjust) to what has happened over the last ten years with their whole case,' he said.
'Somewhere in the legal system for Indonesia there's got to be mercy and the president needs to show that now.
