The lavish estate is comprised of two separate properties on the famed Sagaponack Road in Bridgehampton.

According to the New York Post, the asking price of $35 millions represents both a $20 million waterfront home and a $15 million cottage with a pool. As per 27east.com, these parcels can be bought separately.

The main 6,000 square foot house boasts nine bedrooms and six bathrooms, a dock, a pool, a tennis court, and almost five acres of surrounding land. Meanwhile the four-bedroom cottage is described as a "ranch home".

Built in 1850, the main house is 6,000 square feet and comes with nine bedrooms and six bathrooms — on 4.9 acres. The property features a dock, a pool, a tennis court and lots of patios and gardens. The cottage is a 2,850-square-foot ranch home with four bedrooms. This property also has a pool and sits on 5.27 acres. The size of both homes can be increased to 10,000 square feet each, the listing notes.

The 90-year-old former diplomat served as the US ambassador to Ireland from 1993 to 1998. During this time, she was instrumental in the Northern Ireland peace process. President Mary McAleese conferred honorary Irish citizenship on Kennedy Smith in 1998 in recognition of her work.

The eight of the nine Kennedy children, she is also the founder of VSA (Very Special Arts) a nonprofit providing access to the arts to disabled youth and adults, for which she was awarded the Medal of Freedom by President Barack Obama in 2011.

The listing broker of the estate is Michael Schultz, of Corcoran, who also recently sold Grey Gardens (the home where Jackie Kennedy Onassis' aunt and cousin Big Edie and Little Edie Beale lived.)
