I was born in a territory to a woman who never really wanted me
I don't know if daddy did I don't even know who he is
When I was 3 the territory said mama couldn't take care of me
They sent strangers in the night to take me away from mama's side
15 years I bounced around from home to home from town to town
1 more week I'll turn 18
What'll I do when the territory's through with me
Family after family said they wanted to rescue me
But foster dad and foster mum never would've let me stay that long
I cried a lot kicked and screamed wouldn't let anyone close to me
I pushed everyone away hopin my mama come back some day
