2012 – Joe Jackson, Michael’s father, has dropped the wrongful death lawsuit against promoters on This Day in Rock! AEG sighs releif after the judge finds in favor and having no responsibility in MJ’s death…
Dr. Murray was convicted in November of the involuntary manslaughter of Jackson, 50, through an overdose of the anesthetic propofol and sedatives. He is serving four years in a Los Angeles county jail.

2009 – An exhibit of James Brown’s personal belongings opened at South Carolina State University. The collection included photos, crystal-studded suits, and even the hair curlers.

2008 – Britney Spears failed in a court bid to regain visitation rights to her two children. Spears was banned from monitored visits in January of this year after refusing to hand the children back, resulting in a stand-off with police at her house.
